(Sanis stumbled into his apartment at three thirty in the morning. By now, the sector of Coruscant where he lived had died down quite a bit, with only a few transients and other shady characters roaming the streets...some trying to survive, some wearing off the effects of a good time. Sanis was in the company of the latter, arriving home from a local pub. His breath carried whispers of bourbon on it, and he was, of course...quite tired.

Unlocking the front door, Sanis sauntered in, closing the door behind him. Daleethria hadn't returned, he saw. She had left earlier that evening, ostensibly to go look at the lights of the city. Sanis didn't think it was a great idea, but she insisted...and Sanis just had to accept that. Besides, it was quickly becoming apparent that she was the helpless girl that Sanis had first thought her to be.

Sighing slightly, Sanis flopped down on the couch, his mind a clutter with the accumulation of another day's worth of mundane details and liquor. More jobs were coming in, but it still seemed as if he were at a standstill, neither coming nor going from this rock they called the city-planet. For somebody with the severe case of vagabond blues as Sanis, it was a feeling that he was going stir-crazy. Sure, Coruscant was a big place, but it was nothing compared to plying the trade lanes in a starship, with nothing guiding you except your own desires and instincts. Sure, he enjoyed the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Coruscant, but he also longed for more. He only hoped that he would find his freighter soon.

Sanis smelled his clothing. Ugh. He reeked of sweat, alcohol, and the general smells of the city. Standing up slowly, Sanis slid off his Ionian spacer's jacket, as well as his double-holster, bandolier, and belt. Slowly, he stretched out, as he made his way to the refresher. It was time for a late night shower.

Sliding his clothes off, Sanis slipped into the small shower, turning the hot water on, and feeling it run down his body, taking with it another long day. Feeling the alcohol in his system, Sanis leaned against the ceramic tile wall of the shower, propping himself up with an arm. It was then that the comm system beeped. Somebody was at his door. What the Frell? It was three in the morning! Didn't people check the time of day?

Sanis reluctantly righted himself, shutting off the water as he leaned out of the shower. He tapped the wall-mounted comm system, slightly annoyed.)

Yeeeahh? You do know people are trying to sleep, don't you?

The wind howled at the height where the Bounty Hunter had propped herself atop the apartment building. But it wasn't loud enough to drown out the annoyance in Sanis's voice. She smiled and spoke into a small two way device. It's twin had been left at the comm unit at the entrance to the building, and made to activate Sanis's comm.

The Bounty Hunter was known for her many disquises and acting abilities. Speaking in a shrill, high pitched voice, she addressed the two way unit nestled in her hand.

Brent! How dare you talk to me like that?! You open this door down here, you hear me?! I swear! Why I ever married you is beyond me!!! You'd better have changed your attitude by the time I come up there, or I'll...

She trailed off, letting what she had said plant confusion into Sanis's mind. She had to make the comm call seem like a wrong number punched into the keypad. And the ruse was only so that Sanis wouldn't get suspicious of anything else. To just shut off communication when he spoke would have alarmed him. Besides, playing with his mind may prove to be entertaining.

(Brent? Hmm...krasst, didn't this lady take time to read the apartment numbers?

Sanis chuckled to himself slightly, and returned to speaking)

Uh, lady...I think you've got the wrong apartment. This is 34D. I don't know a Brent, sorry to say.

The Bounty Hunter smiled. Good. He'd bought it. Now to finish this conversation. Still speaking in a high pitched voice, the shrill gone, she addressed the unit once more, a menacing growl coming from her throat.

I'm warning you, Brent... if this is your idea of a sick jo--

Silence. Then she spoke again in that high pitched voice, but devoid of emotion except for embarrasment.

Oh. I'm sorry. I just noticed the number myself. Errrr... um, excuse me for disturbing you. So sorry. I thought you were my husband. Ah frell...

Then she cut off the communication in such a way that it would appear the "lady" had become so embarrased, she'd shut the comm off obtruptly.

Looking down at her computer gauntlet, she deactivated the magnet for the two way device below. She counted to five, giving it enough time to hit the floor, then she hit another button. On the display, the computer registered the twin two way device to have been obliterated. No evidence was left of the ruse. And more importantly, she now knew Sanis was home... and most likely alone. Just ripe for the taking.

(Sanis shut off the comm, and stood silent for a few moments, letting the water drip off his body. Apparently she got the message, and realized her mistake. Oh well, it wouldn't be the first time Sanis' comm had gone off at a late hour, but it was the first time it did so without something bad happening. Usually, it pertained to Younakka having another late-night ego trip, and accusing Sanis of dealing spice, just when Sanis was still too groggy to defend himself. Oh well...stranger things had happened to him on Coruscant nights.

Sanis shrugged, and reached for a towel. He began to rigorously dry himself, as he looked at his figure in the mirror. He looked good....well, as good as any half-asleep drunk man could look. Sanis smiled wearily into the glass, and continued toweling off his hair, as he rummaged through a drawer, finding a pair of white shorts and a shirt to wear. Tired, but somehow not ready to sleep, Sanis padded his way back into the living room, flopping down on the old worn-out couch. He activated the HoloView, and began to sift through channels...hoping to find something on that was moderately interesting at this hour.

A few minutes into watching the HoloView, Sanis felt slightly uneasy. He couldn't put a finger on why, but nevertheless he did. Maybe it was the late-night comm...and he was just suffering from nerves mixed with alcohol. At any rate, Sanis leaned over, pulling his Duronian "Gentleman" handblaster from the pocket of his jacket on the floor. It never hurt to be just a little paranoid of things, especially in this toxic waste part of town.)

The Bounty Hunter silently slid down the side of the apartment building using her light weight sinch cord, stopping just outside Sanis's bedroom window. The light wasn't on inside, and the curtun was closed, which would be to her advantage.

She put a map of the type of room Sanis had on her computer gauntlet, overlapping where the nanites indicated him to be. Good, he was in the living room, away from the window. She took out a small scanner and scanned the area around the window sill. The small scanner beeped quietly, indicating there was a high security system in place around the window. She's expected as much. Putting the scanner away, she took out a security feed-loop lock. Placing it along the wall where the security wires ran inside, she activated it and waited for the light to go from red to green. A few moments later, the light changed to green indicating the security feed had been looped into itself without being cut and raising an alarm. Taking out her diamond cutter, she quickly and quietly cut a hole into the window, and eased herself inside.

There in the darkness of the bedroom, she blended her chameleon skin to match the shadowed wallpaper, and erected her Force-inhibiting bubble just for safety measures. She could hear the holoveiw in the other room, and knew Sanis was sitting there. Knowing what kind of man he was and what kind of business he dealt in, she had no doubt he had a weapon near at hand.

Quickly and quietly, she slid the slender Ubrikkian R-TechApp Man Trap mat she had recently purchased under the matress, and activated it to gravity setting 5. Then she melted away into the bedroom wall, and waited for Sanis to unwittingly trap himself to his own bed.

(Almost 45,000 HoloView channels, and not a thing on! However, Sanis couldn't find the energy to move from the couch. Instead, he began watching dry and cheaply-made infomercials, where salemen bombarded the viewer with loud slogans and ridiculous antics...anything to make a sale. As for now, a loud Rodian was trying to sell age-defying Twi'Lek lekku cream....made from the environmentally-safe, all natural extracts of casseda plants, from Abusan. Heh, for only 24 credits, plus shipping.

Sanis found himself drifing into a state of near-sleep. He gradually began to slide down the old couch, his feet dangling off one end, as his head rested on another. Despite the couch's age, Sanis felt quite comfortable as he lay there...except that the room was getting a little colder than he liked.

Too lazy to get a blanket or check the thermostat, Sanis simply continued to watch the useless infomercials, as his eyes drooped lower and lower. He hoped Daleethria would be home soon.)

The Bounty Hunter continued to wait patiently, but it was beginning to become apparent that Sanis was just going to stay where he was. She shook her head. Typical male laziness. She shrugged and moved closer to the door. Sanis had left it open enough for her slender body to pass through. She'd leave the Man Trap where it was. It may come in handy later.

As she neared the door, the light flickering from the other room was casting strange shadows through the crack in the doorway. Her skin took on the look of the shifting shadows, as that part of her brain instinctively took over.

Now at a low crouch, she peeked her head around the door jam and saw the back of the couch and the top of Sanis' head peeping out from the front. She sniffed the air once, and ducked back inside. Quickly she did a quick check on what the tracking nanites were scanning. It appeared Sanis' vital signs were beginning to slow. He was falling asleep.

She smiled, turned on her high yeild personal shield, and silently crawled into the room, stopping just behind the couch where Sanis sat. Reaching into her utility belt, she took out a small Chloriform patch, while her other hand quietly unholstered her heavy blaster.

She almost didn't want the hunt to end, but then she remembered how much she was getting paid and how badly she wanted revenge. Silently, she peeked over the couch, still camofladged and saw in the reflection of the holoview the gun nestled in his lap.

Without another thought, she placed the cold muzzle of her heavy blaster against his temple, while her strong, slender tail snaked around, pinning his arms to his side, and flicking the gun from his lap with the tip. Bringing her lips close to his ear, she hissed, licking it with her flexible tongue.

Goodnight, Sanis.

Then she placed the Chloriform patch over his nose and mouth tightly.

Daleethria
Feb 27th, 2001, 02:54:05 PM
Daleethria walked up the stairs, heading back to the apartment hoping that Sanis wasn't worried about her. She never seen so many lights just wash over the night sky in a sea of darkness with all the buildings. She was hoping that Sanis would have come with her but he was wiped out from the hearty night that he had and really needed to rest. Plus, where she ended up, Sanis was most likely going to tumble and take a really nasty fall. Daleethria found the perfect balcony that belong to this one being. It was simple to hide herself from his eyes and senses. Balancing on the metal side and looking up at the tall buildings almost wanted to see if she could fly.

She stopped before she opened the door. Another presence inside the apartment broke her memory of what just happened and Daleethria recognized it. It had to be that strange being that was a the restuarant when Sanis met Dara. It was hard to mistake the rather empty area where she could not sense the Force. Then her heightened senses picked up the faint smell of a chemical being employed that she never smelled before. She had no idea if it was lethal or not so being subtle was thrown out the window. Quickly her mind calculated where the being and Sanis were in the room while increasing her own physical abilities against the unknown attacker.

The door came down hard with a swift kick and Daleethria already had her sights focused on the Hunter. Though she couldn't see her with her eyes, the empty bubble of Force by Sanis was enough. Before the attacker could finish what she was doing, the coffee table next to the couch flew from its spot on the floor and smashed right into the unseen being with an impact of a speeder. Daleethria sped over to the now sleeping and drugged Sanis and placed a hand on his neck as her other hand pulled out her sabre and ignited it. Her attention remained focused on the area that there was no Force as she started to detoxify Sanis as quickly as she could.

(Sanis' eyes opened blearily. He couldn't remember much, just "goodnight Sanis"...and blackness. When he came to, he found Daleethria leaning over him, her hand placed lightly on his neck. Sanis blinked hard and tried to speak, but nothing came from his dry lips. His head was still spinning, but he was slowly regaining control.)

The Bounty Hunter was just about finished with her deed of putting Sanis to sleep when the door came crashing down from it's hinges. Before she could bring her blaster to bear on the figure, the table came crashing in her direction. She twisted slightly, with only the side of it grazing her, but it was enough to knock her off balance.

She snarled and shook her head, looking up to find the Force user bringing Sanis back to consciencness. No. She would have none of this. She was too close to her goal. Damn the Force user. Enough was enough.

Moving within reach of the Force user to block her abilities to use the Force, the Bounty Hunter revealed herself, her skin taking it's normal shade of blue, and brought her heavy blaster to bear on the girl.

Ok, that's enough. Take your hands off him and take one step back.

If the girl complied, it would remove her from Sanis, but at the same time keep her within the Force inhibiting bubble. But, just as an afterthought, the Bounty Hunter swiftly pulled out her other heavy blaster and aimed it at Sanis's still slightly groggy head.

And if you pull any fancy stunts, I blow his head off.

Daleethria
Feb 28th, 2001, 03:41:13 PM
Daleethria took stock of the situation. This Hunter was relying on the fact that because her Force abilities were nulified, that she couldn't defend herself. Not all of her uniqueness came from the Force. It came from the fact that she was a clone and some of her talents had nothing to do with the mystic energy field. Her mind and ability to assess situation and study other people's own natural abilities had nothing to do with the Force.

The last thing that Daleethria did was try and remove as much of the toxin from Sanis' system as she could. It was that brief amount of time that her senses could deduce that the toxin was not lethal. Considering this, Daleethria figure it was a good probability that the Hunter does not wish to kill Sanis yet. With the situation played out before her, the being was betting that her feelings for Sanis will stop her from doing something. Course, there was some logic to that thinking. Not even Daleethria knew what her feelings for Sanis really were. The only thing that she did know was that she would not let Sanis become captured if she could help it.

Slowly Daleethria brought her hands up in a gesture that meant her surrender. When her hands became level with the gun, she reached out like a viper and grabbed the gun, pointing it towards the ground. A heavy boot connected with the being's midsection and Daleethria was able to take the gun from her. The kick must have distance her enough because she felt the Force return to her. With enhanced strength, Daleethria crushed the blaster in her hand.

The Bounty Hunter doubled over, snarling and looking up to see her blaster crushed. And it had been her favorite too. This little annoyance was becoming aggrivating. She straightened to her full height and eyed the girl. Either way, this girl was going down.

She smiled menacingly at the girl. No doubt she thought the Bounty Hunter didn't want to kill Sanis. And in some truth, she was right. She sneered. But, half a bounty was better than none, and if need be, she would be more than happy to blow Sanis's head off with gusto. And to let the girl know this, she momentarily dropped her Force inhibiting bubble. Yes, her intentions were made known, because she saw the understanding in the girl's eyes. With that done, she raised the bubble again, doubling it's strength and field. This would force the girl to have to take 2 meters back if she wanted to use the Force.

The Bounty Hunter suddenly moved forward, wrapping her strong tail around her slender waist. She slashed her arm with her clawed hand and then threw her towards the bedroom door. The girl looked slightly dazed, but nevertheless stood. It would be awhile before the poison from her claws took effect. But a few moments was enough. She still had her other heavy blaster trained on Sanis's head.

(Still groggy from the chloroform and liquor, Sanis lay still on the couch as Dalee and the huntress fought. Slowly, Sanis began to look around the couch, hoping that he had simply taken his gear off where he lay.

He spotted his Shell Gun....damn, too far away. It was over by the HoloView, along with his blasters.

With his left arm, Sanis began to feel around for anything lying by the couch, not taking his eyes off Azure. He didn't know why she was hunting him, or even if it was for business after all. To an Outlaw, there was always an unspoken rule when it came to hunting...don't hunt another hunter. Sure, you could break the rules easily enough, but it always had reprocussions in the end. For somebody as well-trained as Azure was, she was either acting in an incredibly-naive fashion, or she had a personal stake in this, and was after Sanis for more than a bounty.

Sanis gulped, slightly uneasy at the thought. Whatever the reason behind the huntress' faus pax, the point remained that she still had a gun on him. Whether she would use it to stun Sanis or to hollow out his cranium was another matter entirely.

Licking his lips slightly with tension, Sanis continued to reach back, until his fingers brushed against something made of cloth. It was his Ionian spacer's jacket. Maybe, just maybe...he left his Duronian "Gentleman" handblaster inside.

Carefully pulling the jacket to the couch, Sanis began to feel around, searching for the pockets. Damn! The handblaster wasn't there. Ah frell...Sanis remembered. He left it on the desk. Nevertheless, Sanis felt around his jacket for anything that might be of use...

..paydirt!

Sanis felt something lying on top of his jacket. It was one of his gloves. Reaching carefully, Sanis snagged it with two fingers, and carefully pulled it to himself. Daleethria was still keeping most of the huntress' attention. Cautiously, Sanis slipped the glove over his right hand, fastening the wrist strap as he did.

Sanis held his breath as he slowly reached with his left hand and tapped a small button on the back of the glove. He tapped it, and quickly stuffed his gloved hand between the cushions, as a small high-pitched sound was faintly audible. Sanis waited a second, and exhaled audibly, thankful that the huntress did not hear the glove's small-field light shield activate.

Now...he needed an opportunity. The huntress lashed out at Daleethria, scratching her with her claws. Sanis scowled...it was one thing to threaten him...but she was making a big mistake to attack Dalee.

Sitting up quickly, Sanis moved the glove in front of his face.)

I thought the bounty was on me, Bitch!

(The huntress quickly snapped her attention back in Sanis' direction, her reflexes snapping off a shot from her blaster. The reddish-orange bolt careened off a small energy field just in front of Sanis' hand, and then shot off in another direction, putting a sizeable burn mark in one of the walls. Sanis raised an eyebrow...she had it set to kill.

Sanis smacked the blaster out of her hands, sending it clattering to the floor. With his left hand, Sanis grabbed her arm at the wrist, and rolled backwards on the couch, sending the huntress airborne as she was pulled over him...landing hard against the living room floor.

With the precious few seconds Sanis had to work with, he began to dash on his hands and knees, making his way to where his Shell Gun lay...next to the HoloView.)

Daleethria winced from the pain of the claws. She almost forgot what pain felt like. Her actions were indeed slower as the bubble impeded her Force abilities, but she was still well trained and had all of her faculties.

Before she could make a move, Sanis, the idiot, decided to go on the offensive. He was still drugged and was plastured from his night of debauchery. Since the Hunter was now paying attention to Sanis, she stepped back until she could feel the Force once more. Dizziness started to set in and she couldn't fathom why. Unless ...

Looking down at the claw marks are her forearm, perhaps she was infected that way? Didn't matter. Right now Daleethria needed to get Sanis to his weapon. The weapon flew from it's place by the holo-vid and fell right in front of Sanis. Her breathing became louder and more forced as she felt her body sweating. She needed to concentrate on getting rid of this poison. Sanis had his weapon. It was up to him now.

The Bounty Hunter whirled at the sound of Sanis's voice. Her reactions were quick and she fired her blaster. Her heart skipped a beat as she realized it had been set to kill. Damn. Luckily for her query, he had a shielded glove that deflected the bolt and sent it into a wall. Then she felt herself being roughly pulled over the couch and slamming into the opposite wall.

She was getting mad... VERY mad. She was to the point of metamorphing to her other form, but knew it would drain her of physical strength for a few moments. She couldn't afford that in such close quarters, though the initial transformation usually dumbfounded her queries. No. She would save that for another time.

She look up and regained her footing, glaring at Sanis. The black of her eyes narrowed to slits and the yellow around the pupil glowed with an inner fire. She spotted the girl at the corner of her eye and saw her stagger slightly. She smiled, showing a row of very sharp teeth. Yes, the poison wouldn't kill her, but would most definitely make her dizzy and incredibly sleepy. Unless, she had a horrific allergic reaction to the poison. The Bounty Hunter had seen that happen only once, and it wasn't pretty.

The Bounty Hunter assessed the situation. One of her blasters was destroyed, the other gone from her grip. But, she still had her plasma wrist gauntlets, and various other bits of arsenal niether the girl no Sanis could ever imagine her having. And, she still had that Man Trap hidden under the bed mattress.

She watched as the girl "threw" Sanis his gun, causing the Bounty Hunter to snarl, showing 2 inch fangs that unfolded within her mouth, next to her teeth.

Without warning, she brought her arm around from the back where she'd been hiding another weapon she'd plucked from her utility belt. Pointing it between Sanis and the girl, she fired her Sonic Pistol. The shreek it emitted was ear shattering, breaking windows and glass in the room. The Bounty Hunter observed the girl grab the sides of her head and double over. No doubt she had gotten far enough away from the bubble to feel the brunt of the sonic wave, even through the Force. Sanis cringed, dropping his gun and bringing both hands to his ears. The Bounty Hunter merely smiled, unabated by the sound due to the helpful sonic reverse ear plugs she wore.

She watched them both suffer under the intense noise. She'd not only set the Sonic Pistol to a high-intensity sonic blast, but also to the "sleep inducer" setting, which sends a hypersonic wave, attacking the targets nervous system and sending them into a disoriented state and then disabling them. If she kept it up just long enough, both would become unconcsious soon enough.

(Sanis groaned as he crumpled to the floor...the screeching noise in his head pummelling him to the ground. Everything felt fuzzy, and his brain felt like it was rattling inside his head. His eyes began to swim as he looked on the floor frantically. Double vision prevailed, and made Sanis' search for his weapon very difficult. Sanis wanted nothing more than to pass out...the ringing in his ears combining with the chloroform and the alcohol made his conciousness flutter in and out. He blinked hard to keep his equilibrium, as his sprawling fingertips brushed against something solid. Looking wide-eyed at it, Sanis tried to determine if it was his Shell Gun. From the look of it, it was. Sanis laboriously dragged the firearm to him, and sprawled with his other hand, reaching for his bandolier. He grasped it, and tugged towards him. His shaking hands began pulling out shells, and holding them close to his face...where was the one he was looking for? Was this one blue? Sanis squinted....damn, not it! Sanis tossed the shell aside, and snagged another one, and another...dammit! He knew he had at least three of them left! He'd bought a new set not two days ago!

Sanis loaded the shell into the breech of his gun's right barrel. The moment he closed the breech, he felt a sharp kick to his abdomen, which rolled him over. He tried to stand up, but a boot slammed firm onto his right shoulder. Through squinted eyes, he could make out a blue-skinned figure. The huntress. She leaned down to grab at his collar, smiling. Now or never.

Sanis reached out, barely grasping the Shell gun. He pulled it to himself, and brought it up, pointing the barrel just under the alien's chin. Sanis smiled weakly, and pulled the trigger.)

As her own senses were already heightened by the Force, the sonic pistol was even more effective then the Hunter probably was going for. The echo of the blast resonated throughout her ear canal and punched through her ears drums. This was the most unbearable pain that she had ever experience. Sparring in the Duel Sphere, fighting her evil sister, and the trauma of keeping her own mind intact felt like a mosquito bite compared to this.

Sanis had never heard Daleethria speak out loud. Only her thoughts brushed against his gently when she communicated through the Force. It was like a small rapport was being build between them slowly. Now, right before he pulled the trigger, the scream of utter misery and pain cried forth from her lungs. Then everything went black and she never felt her body hit the floor ...

The Bounty Hunter watched in satisfaction as both of the occupants of the room writhed under the assult of the Sonic Pistol. She watched the girl closely. It appeared that her ability through the Force was actually hindering her rather than aiding her; she had been betrayed, so to speak, by her own gift. Well, the girl was most definitely out of the picture, and would be so after the sonic shock and poison.

The Bounty Hunter smiled and turned towards Sanis who didn't look any better. She bent down and grabbed him by the collar, still smiling. Then the cold hardness of a gun of sorts came up near her chin. She had time for only one thought. (Oh KRASST!) Then she was hurled backwards, high up and against the ceiling. Then blackness.

------------------------------------------------------------

The high pitched shriek of pain was what woke the Bounty Hunter a few seconds later. Her chin felt a sting of pain, but knew the bones had not been broken due to the aid of her high-yield personal shield. She worked her jaw a bit, dislocating and relocating it to ease it back into motion. The pain was begining to subside as her fast healing abilities began to work.

She looked around, and then looked down at Sanis crawling towards the girl in a dizzying stagger. Wait a minute... looked down?? The Bounty Hunter realized she been shot with some sort of gravity field that was holding her against the ceiling! So, Sanis did indeed have a few toys of his own. The Bounty Hunter smiled, and shifted her head to look up at her arm, which had been bent over her head. She noticed with relief it was the arm that held her computer gaunlet. With a slight grimace, she opened her mouth and flicked her tongue, hitting a switch on the small keypad, activating a grav-field nullifier. A blue flicker ran over her entire body and then she fell flat to the floor. Shaking her head and rubbing her chin, she slowly stood, making sure her footing was steady.

Glaring at her query, and still rubbing her chin, she watched as he came to a stop near the now unconscies girl. While he was checking her vitals, the Bounty Hunter brought around one of her stun-net balls. True, he'd gotten out of one of her electro-nets before, but she was betting, almost hoping, he was too far gone with all she'd thrown at him to deal with this attack.

She threw the small ball towards Sanis and watched as it exploded, engulfing him in a stunning net, pinning him to the floor. She instantly winced and hissed in pain after throwing the stun-net, grabbing her right shoulder. She lowered slowly to her knees, resting slightly and willing the pain to cease. Somehow, during the course of being smashed against the ceiling, it had been damaged. She didn't worry, because she knew it would heal. She attempted to flex it a bit, and winced again. But it would still require tending to.

Waisting no more time, she stood, concealing herself once again and camoflaging with her surroundings, and advanced on Sanis.

(It was the only time he had ever heard her voice, and it was so incredibly full of pain. Sanis dropped his shell gun at the sound, and could only go to the direction of Daleethria's agonizing cry. Sanis rubbed his ears as he crawled along, at least the blast he used had disrupted whatever sound machine the huntress was using. He made his way around the couch, and over to Daleethria's crumpled form, sprawled on the floor. Sanis' eyes widened, as he practically lunged the rest of the way over to her, tilting her head up and shouting her name.)

Dalee...Dalee! DALEETHRIA!

(She was unconcious at the least, and Sanis hoped nothing worse. He looked to see a dabbling of red inside her ears. The sound emitter had nearly killed her! Sanis became panic-ridden, as he tried to revive Daleethria, holding her by the shoulders and sitting her upright. She leaned over, falling against Sanis' shoulder. He simply squeezed her tightly and kissed her gently on her forehead. The sudden shock at her situation had nearly paralyzed Sanis to the core. Suddenly, he knew that if he lost Daleethria, he would be losing far more than either a pretty face or a trusted sidekick. No, it was something else...something Sanis had never really experienced, and couldn't put a finger on it. Instead he simply sat there with Daleethria slumped against his shoulder, holding onto her. He brushed a stray bit of hair out of her eyes, and looked at her peaceful face. Placing a finger against her cheek, Sanis wanted to do nothing but take in that beautiful face.

A sound caught Sanis' attention from behind. He turned, placing himself between Daleethria and the noise. It was the huntress, and she was coming around! Krasst! Sanis' eyes darted halfway across the room. He'd dropped his shell gun, leaving it among the bandolier and the other shells. Sanis' eyes darted from the shell gun to the huntress and back again. Maybe...just maybe.

Sanis made a dash, running on unstable legs...or more like prolonging an extended fall. He scrambled towards his weapon, and just as he was about to reach out and grab it, he felt the stinging snap of an electro-net spring around him. Frell! He was trapped...and this time, he had nothing to work with. Gritting his teeth against the pain of the net, Sanis simply turned his head as he lay on the floor, looking at Daleethria as she also lay on the floor. So, this was how it was going to end, huh? Sanis smiled wryly. He'd never given the idea a second thought. Hell, he'd always known he'd live forever or die in bed, or something to that effect.

A shadow moved over Sanis' eyes, as the huntress stood over Sanis. Sanis looked up at her, curling his lips into a wry smile. If he was going out...he was going out being a smartass.)

Alright lady, you finally got me, although I hope you know that Gigolo isn't in my job description. Hate to burst your bubble, hehehe.

The Bounty Hunter finally reached Sanis, now totally wrapped up in not only the net, but it appeared also in exhaustion. She herself was fatigued with the struggle to capture him. Never before had she met a query quite like him. She un-camoflaged herself, so that he could see her.

Bending down, she looked at him give her a wry smile, and then he spoke.

Sanis: "Alright lady, you finally got me, although I hope you know that Gigolo isn't in my job description. Hate to burst your bubble, hehehe."

She smiled, grabbing his collar gently with her right hand, wincing slightly, and raising him up to a sitting position. In a sweet voice, probably one that Sanis would never think her capable of, she addressed him.

That's alright. You're not my type anyways.

With a mighty swing of her left arm, she drove her left fist into his jaw. In conected solidly, sending him into complete unconsciencness.

Quickly setting to work, she tapped a code into her computer gauntlet and called her ship, <a href=http://www16.brinkster.com/caligirls/ArcticFire/AzureSHIP01.jpg>"Hunter's Fang"</a>.

With that done, she stood and moved towards the girl. Without a word, she placed a bacta patch from her utility belt on the wound she'd inflicted earlier, and dripped a few drops of the healing liquid into her ears. To keep her asleep, she placed a sleep inducer capsule on the girls neck. The liquid inside would slowly be absorbed by the girl's skin, keeping her asleep for at least the next 24 hours, in which case the Bounty Hunter would be long gone with her prey. Yes, she was a Bounty Hunter, and, yes, at times she was cold hearted in what she did. But she did not see the need for this one to suffer anymore, especially now that the Bounty Hunter had caught her prey.

Leaving the girls side, she retrieved all her fallen weapons, and walked over to Sanis, hauling him onto her left shoulder, being careful not to strain the right. For a human male, he wasn't all that heavy, but, then again, the Bounty Hunter's physical strength had always been stronger than average. She always wondered where she got it from, not knowing her past. She'd tried various searches before on her past, but could never pinpoint anything solid. She made a mental note to herself to someday have a professional informaton broker look into her past. She wanted to know where she originated, for she'd never seen any other's like herself, and at times, it made her feel very alone.

Shaking off the thought, she found she'd made her way into the bedroom and fetched her Man Trap, turning it off. A quiet beeping emittied from her gauntlet, indicating her ship was just outside the window. Walking to the window, she opened the curtains wide and opened the windows. The security loop lock was still working to keep the system from setting off the alarm. Looking out, she saw nothing but city, but knew well her ship was there and only camoflaged much like her skin could do.

She heard the whir of the ramp extend and make a small indentation in the wall below the window. Stepping onto the ramp, she turned around slightly and pressed a button on the security loop lock. Once the light went to green, she knew it had put the system back the way it was, and plucked it off the wall, placing it back in her utility belt.

With that done, she quickly marched into her ship. The ship responded to her presence and sealed the door, heading off for deep space on auto pilot, the destination already set for Obroa-Skai. The Bounty Hunter placed Sanis inside a Universal Energy Cage she had aboard. She'd found this cage on the black market not too long ago, and knew full well it could hold any Force user, preventing them from escaping and cutting them off from their precsious Force. She'd never had to capture any Force users, but she knew full well that if a Force user couldn't get out, then Sanis would never be able to get out of it. Removing the stun net, she shut the door, and the cage activated with an almost inaudible hum.

Smiling, she set her gear in it's proper place on the other side, away from the cage, and locked it up tight. She did, however keep her ussual arsenal she had on her. She looked down at the left holster that should have been holding her heavy blaster. She sighed and made another mental note to seek out her usual weapons dealer and replace it.

Sitting down at the small lounge area she had in her ship, she stripped the strap from her right shoulder and applied a large bacta patch there. She closed her eyes and felt the cool liquid working it's wonders. Opening her eyes again, she checked a wall mounted computer to see how the ship was doing. It was almost to the hyperspace jump. She looked over at Sanis and smiled. This had to have been one of her more fun and challenging hunts she'd ever done.

With that last thought, the ship disapeared into hyperspace.
