Well, if you email whoever is in charge of that group, it is really up to them. It all depends on how you been carrying yourself on the boards. Most of the time I noticed it isn't a problem, sometimes it is tho.

I have also been rejected from a group, under a differant name. But people have their reasons, it's not up to you. It's their house after all. You don't let anyone in your home if don't want to, do you? Same with a group's board and private forums.
