Aliens Versus Predator

Its a decent game, the demo was anyways....a mad cap zany family adventure of brain bursting, adreline racing bullet tottling, skin frying fun!

I echo Sanis' comments exactly. AvP was rather boorish. Part 2 looks like it's going to be really good, however.

AvP is excellent. The only thing it severely lacks is a storyline. You don't have a sense of continuation in the missions, save that The predator gets deeper and deeper into a marine research facility for the first three levels, but then it takes a jump. Same with the marine, though thats not as big and unrelated a jump as the predators.

Best Marine level is undoubtedly the Atmosphere Processor! All hail the smartgun - except Dru because I kick his arse with it! Oh no, actually I kick his arse with any weapon....though there is one that is his bane of existence...

Can we say PROXIMITY MINES!?!?!? :)

As for AvP 2, its going to have a plot, and each species' plots are linked. If you do something as the Alien (which is the first in the storyline link, like StarCraft' order of playability), you will notice the changed resultingh from it when you play the Marine, and subsequently when the Predator arrives (which is the last one).

Going off the sunject somewhat - I'd like to sea a Capcom beat'em up for AvP - like Street fighter etc. Not like the scrolling beat'em up that was "Aliens vs Predator Arcade", but the same format as Street Fighter and Marvel Super Heroes. That'd be cool. Different marines, Predators, Aliens, the power loader, the queen! Special moves would be rather cool. And the marines would be able to use their guns sparingly. Definetly not a serious game, but it'd be a great laugh - just like X-Men vs Streetfighter with the tagteam options , like Ken and Ryu (smiles at Gav wickedly).

And I like storyline, hence, Thief, System Shock series. Half Life was decent, but a lot of fun to play.
