Showers?

Ok how do SW showers work? I hear they are called "Refreshers". But how do they really work exactly?

I imagine that people do take off their clothes, more out of habit than necessity.

Pity this is a PG-13 forum. the convo I'm having with someone about wht water showers are better for ..... ummm...... consenting adults are eye brow raising to say the least. I've come up with several good reasons Sonic showers are bad and water shower good

In star trek they have sonic showers, and in some scenes you see the people scruing and everything which leads you to believe that there is some sensation of stuff flowing over you in a sonic shower, say vibration or whatnot

Yeah but how long are sonic showers, 1 to 2 minutes? You couldn't even make a waffle in that time span. Water showers are better for Rping, for ones who like to describe things in depth (like me). How would you RP a sonic shower anyway? (He steps from his suit into the refresher chamber and pushes the button to start the needless shower. The lightly masked pain starts over his body again, a pain he has finally learned to tolerate over the year. In a flash he steps from the refresher and re-suits himself.
