This may have been invented, but I just came up with the idea.

you take a gatling gun, and reduce it's size to a large pistol....it would be awsome! Would that be legal or was it already invented?

But given the ammo load a slugthrower has, especially a handheld one, would a revolving barrel give you any advantage?

ok, now I see what you were talking about.....this is a pistol, like the size of a magnum. The revolving barrel is for faster firing. a minigun is like mini rocket launcher size right?

and a proper-Mini-Gun is knwon currently as a SMG (Sub-Machinde Gun) it is hand held and pistol like...on account of that you can also get a Uzi (know as a DU:cool: that is much more suppressed than the hand help Minigun...beleve me you can get them..

No...a minigun is a mechanically-fed gatling gun, which fires rifle rounds, which are elongated and generally chambered on different measures entirely.

Rifles generally fire 5.56 and 7.62 caliber, and miniguns can be chambered for anything as large as 30mm shells.

This is much different than a submachine gun, (SMG) or machine-pistol. These weapons fire pistol ammunition...whose bullets are much shorter and have far less of a powder charge. These are typically either 9mm or .45 caliber variants...although others do exist (Such as the HK MP10...developed for the FBI at Quantico). There are other obscure chamberings...but these are the standard.

Now, if you find a minigun chambered for pistol ammunition, let me know...because ONLY THEN will a minigun EVER be considered a SMG. And that's only if the weapon can be carried by a person.
