Read all about it, if you got blue now when it expires get ready to say bye bye, your choices will be orange or gold. Gold being the only good one for boards to prevent pop ups etc. However that can cost a fortune.

Overall do wonder, if they axed blue to try and make some to get gold exactly what does this say about the status of Ezboard.

As someone put it so nicely.... I've got a bad feeling about this...

So now the Blue CSC Program suddenly isn't enough? Great - just great. For any bigger board to have to rely on the Community Chest to get their funding from, that won't be very realistic.

(I wanted to say something else, but I need to go and vent my anger at ezboards first)

Well, they did say they are working on changing the gold program prices around so it is easier to get it besides the community chest.

Hopefully that's true <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/ohwell.gif ALT=":\">

The current rate for SWFans to get Gold is $702. :x With our current level of contributions, it looks like we will be back in pop up land in no time, soon to probably get the axe.

They say they need to eat, but if you ask me, with the hundreds of registered users they are getting, they should be making enough to cover the costs of a service that was previously FREE for nearly 2 years and have enough left to eat just fine. Are they telling us that they could cover the expenses before without charging, for almost two years, but now that people are paying they need to charge more??

Never paid anything to EzBoard, and I just live with the bloody ads. It's cheaper that way.

Those bloody ads have been known to lock my computer up.

EZBoard just wants more spending money for their executives to go out and buy all sorts of neat little gagets for their own lives. Only reason why they are raising the prices is because they know they can. A crap load of ppl come here, knowing that this is one of the better *free* message boards out in internet land. Once the surplus of ppl are hooked, ezboard slowly inserts costs for junk, then slowly raises the price.

Course this isn't the only one raising prices or charging something that was once free. Planetarion is going to be doing that in the upcoming round. x.x

SNack, you do know ezboard are close to going under, right? And how theyre staff went from near 100 to about 15?

Yeah, I know. Cost of new hardware and new servers and the like can get really expensive when your 'net company experiences a large increase of usage such as EZboard has done. Same thing with Planetarion.

I was just exercising my right as a tempermental teenage boy to be generally pissed at the world and blow off with long incoherent rants ta any little thing which looks at me wrongly. :)

Screw that. Just download an ad filtering program. EZBoard's dumbest mistake was to admit knowledge thhat these existe and asking user not to use them. I say the Admins put a nice large link to download one of these babies for all the users and just screw the support all together.

There's a perfectly reasonable explanation for this. They made so much mula from the original base programs that they bought all the Taco Bell chalupas they could stuff their already fat faces with. This in turn, caused them to gain weight, and thus increased the size of their stomachs. They must know acquire more money for MORE tacos!

I will make this quite clear and blunt...

Ezboard is run by lying, vendictive, bait and switch dickwads.

Thanks! ;)

; Gives her a hug. ; It's going to be ok, I think. I just hope they stop wasting time with so many stupid "server features" and focus on improving functionality and intereface problems.
