I believe Death Star's are in the magnitude of 3 months. It also takes three full shipyards if I remember right.

Hey, I asked about a DS once, but it was purely out of curiosity. I would sure think that by now the galaxyhas learned it's lesson about building those useless things. No one can pull it off realistically, especially since protecting it in a practical fasion would be considered GMing. Only purpose they really serve is to be destroyed.

1) Yes only a group of 5 members.

2)40km per shipyard. 40 days for one shipyard. I believe you can build three at once.

3)40km (I think)

I believe a group can only be alotted two yards at most. They set shipyard limitations so that only the larger groups possess the ability to have that kind of productivity factor.

its to blow up the sith without killing them... they could technically breathe in space and not die or get maimed, and you can't blow up planets. but they never said anything about space stations or the sun!

The Death Star would never do such a thing! According to the Galactic Museum on Coruscant, the Emperor built it to extract ore. He loved his slav--err citizens and would never do anything to harm them :)
