G'day,
Just a few comments on the situation that exploded here today.
a) A full investigation has been undertaken and I have spoken to all parties involved. There has been no infiltration.
HOWEVER..... trying to hide the source of information from a locked forum when an infiltration is suspected, even if you are innocent is looked upon seriously. Please remember this. If you come across information, told to you OOC from a locked forum, you are not allowed to act on it or pass it on, unless it is something an admin must know. Understanding what is IC and OOC is important in roleplaying.
b) The infitration rules are not going to be changed.
The reason why when Infiltration is mentioned that @#%$ flys is that Infiltration is the single Unforgivable Sin. It means banning. In the past Infiltrations nearly broke the board apart, threatened friendships, etc. It cuased so much problems that the rules were bought in and that is why they are quite harsh. Tempers do fray and yes the stakes can be quite high.
But I would rather have the occasional spat than have what existed before the rule came in. Thatw as a factor of 10 worse.
If you do have suspicions, always approach a Admin first and place you r evidence clearly and fully. If further investigation is to be taken, it will be done. Please dont accuse anyone outloud.
