I'd recommend neutrals, pastels, and earth tones. Something spartan, but with enough art nouveau inspiration to offer a throwback of classical whimsy, and maybe even a few retro undertones.

I really like the new color scheme, myself. The green is easy on the eyes. Plus, it matches my Windows color scheme. ^____^

Awww... I woulda matched the board if it'd been, like... A month ago. :(

And it's evil when you notice the change, being half awake and looked at the old board five minutes earlier.
