View Full Version : A Troubled Soul Knows No Sleep(open RP)

Sage Hazzard
Dec 2nd, 2000, 01:38:33 AM
::Sage Hazzard awakened suddenly, his heart and mind pounding, enough to drive him insane. He noticed he was sweating. Not the warm, hardworking sweat, the kind that almost feels good. Rather a cold, almost taunting kind of sweat. He has had many of these over the years, the kind of awakening that reminds a man of his troubled past, and corpses he has had hanging in the closet. Sage struggled to get out of bed, finnally he untangled the sheets that had been wraped around him as he tossed and turned that night, and he stood out of bed. It felt good to be on his feet, and out of bed, especially with his sheets damp. He decided to take a walk around the Temple, maybe even take a stroll outside. Even Dagobah has a bueatiful scenery when the morning sun shines through the trees. He slipped on his slippers and started out into the hall. He was wearing nothing but a modest robe, that he put on before venturing out into the hall, and his old pair of slippers. It was a little odd, not to hear the clickity-clap of his boots against the ground, but rather here nothing but silence as his padded slippers gently walked about. He looked up at the hall clock, 4:48 AM, Dagobah time. He wasn't that suprised, he had waken up sooner then that in the past month. He decided to just take a stroll inside the Temple, who knows what lurks outside at this ungodly hour::

OOC:Anyone can jump in. Well, at this point I see it fitting that a Jedi jump in, seeing as how I am in the Jedi Temple..... :D

The story is going somewhere, trust me. Be patient and it will unravel.

::As Sage wondered through the hall he felt a dull pain in his head. It wasn't a headache, he could repress that with a simple Jedi procedure, it was something else. It was as if his mind was overloaded with thoughts, too many to sort out. He needed some kind of distraction to keep his mind off of what he had been thinking about for the past years. But what can one do at 4:48 in the morning other then sleep? And that was out of the question, he hadn't gotten a good night's sleep in over a week. He continued down the hall, his mind running overtime.....::

[i]Fire poked her head out of her door, and saw Sage.
"So YOU'RE what woke me up!" He moved closer to her, into the light, and she noticed something she hadn't noticed when he had been standing in the dark area of the hall-it was a strange expression...something she quite couldn't understand-something in between pain and grief.
"Sage, what's wrong?"

None of your concern....

::Sage thinks a minute::

I'm sorry, that was rude of me. You are my sister and you have a right to know.... but I'm just not ready to discuss it.... not now.

::Sage walks down the hall, leaving his sister behind. he cocks his head to the side:

I'm sorry I woke you up.

::He continues down the hall....::

[i]Fire sighed and rested against the doorframe, watching her brother walk down the corrider. He had changed so much since before they had joined the Jedi...he was stronger, more powerful-like...and quite handsome. But there was always a distant, lingering shadow over him. He had told her some shocking things in the past week or so-but there was something else. Unable to think about it anymore, Fire resigned and weant back into her room, getting under the warm covers next to Darth Snack.

OOC:The "getting under the warm covers next to Darth Snack." line really made me laugh. It was kind of "shock humor", I know it wasn't meant to be like that but it was funny because I didn't expect it. It's also the sort of thing a brother doesn't want to know about. ;)

IC:Sage walks down the hall. The darkness of the hall makes him feel a little better, it's as if the shadows can hide his grief. Thoughts past through his head of his past, his present, and his uncertain future. Sage eyes his saber laying from his robe's belt. He put it there out of habit, never thinking he'd need it. He unclips it and ignites it. He passes it over his face and then stops it in mid air. He swings violently at a invisible person, he then deactivates it as places it back on his belt. He bows his head and prays, for a fallen soldier who he never knew..... he continues down the hall.....::

OOC:Getting interesting, wouldn't you say?

OOC: Yeh, I get what you mean. Struck me a bit funny, too:)

Lance Casey
Dec 3rd, 2000, 01:10:14 PM
Casey pulls up to the living quarters on his motorcycle. It is early in the morning and he hopes he can sneak in before he get's caught past cerfew. As he turn's the corner, he runs rihgt into his master Sage.

"Where have you been?" Asks Sage.

"Uh. This is all a dream. I am a figment of your imagination." Seeing that it is not working, Lance gives up. "I went to a bar and met someone. We hit it off and the next thing I know I'm in her bed without any clothes on. Only she had a whip an..."

"Ok I don't want to hear this."

[i]Fire stormed outside, now very mad.
"Lance! WHAT does a person have to do to get some sleep around here? This is the SECOND time I've been woken tonight!"

Sage Hazzard

::Sage looked at Fire, then back to his Padawan Lance::

I don't have time to put up with you two!!!!!

::Sage sounded very outraged, very uncharactoristic of him. Neither Fire nor Lance had seen him like this before. Sage storms off. He pushes the doors to the outside open, he turns back to the confused Lance and the grogy Fire::

Don't even attempt to follow me....

::Sage ignited his Lightsaber. He didn't mean it as a threat, but it came out that way. He stormed out into the darkness, the local sounds of the creatures, frightning to some, didn't even bother Sage. He found a nearby tree and stood against it. His body went limp and he slump to the ground, exausted, his Lightsaber still ignited.....::

[i]*scowls and walks back inside, wanting to strangle Sage*

Kat Kariena
Dec 5th, 2000, 04:37:49 AM
*Kat sat in a tree watching the stars and listening to the night sounds. She was always up this early and loved to listen to the suroundings. She turned her head towards the Acadmey and saw Sage storm out the doors. She didden't know what, but she didden't need the force to tell her something was wrong. She hoped out of the tree she was in and walked over to sage staying just far enough away to not get hit by his lightsaber, should he choose to swing it at her.* Is there something wrong?

Sage Hazzard
Dec 5th, 2000, 12:34:45 PM
:Sage rested against the tree, totally exausted. Hearing the voice he raised his Lightsaber to swing. The glow off the saber showed that it was his fellow Jedi, he layed the saber back to his side::

Oh, it's you Kat.... Yes. There is something wrong. And that is an understatement....

Kat Kariena
Dec 6th, 2000, 12:06:59 AM
So I see. What's troubleing you?

Sage Hazzard
Dec 6th, 2000, 02:43:08 AM
I'm not sure you'd understand Kat. And if you did, it wouldn't matter anyway.

::Sage thinks a few seconds::

.... I need to speak to a Master.....

Kat Kariena
Dec 6th, 2000, 06:45:27 PM
Then what are you doing out here? Go see one.

Sage Hazzard
Dec 7th, 2000, 03:54:29 AM
::Sage chuckles::

Simple enough is it not? But it is fact not that simple. You see, there is a differance between "need" and "want".... I "need" to see a Master, that doesn't mean I want to....

::Sage looks as the ground, his face sorrowful::

Kat, for the first time sense becoming a Knight.... I'm afraid.... Afraid of my past.... Afraid of myself....

Kat Kariena
Dec 7th, 2000, 06:11:55 AM
*Kat kneeled on the ground so that she was about eye level with Sage, even though he was looking at the ground.* I know what that's like. I don't know what you've been though Sage, and I proably never will unless you feel like shareing that with me. *Kat timidly reached out and put her hand on Sage's* Sometimes the only thing you can do is face the fear full on or it will eat away at you till there's nothing left.

Sage Hazzard
Dec 7th, 2000, 11:32:41 PM
::Sage smiled as he took in Kat's words::

Yes, that is what fear does..... Fear is the Dark Side.

::Sage looks up at Kat::

I must face my destiny, what ever it will be. I will not be afraid.... even if it means I can no longer be a Jedi....

::Sage stands up and walks towards the Temple::

OOC:I need a Master here soon, any Jedi Master will do. Fill free to jump in the story now if you are a Master, you are needed now.

Kat Kariena
Dec 8th, 2000, 12:03:28 AM
*Kat watched Sage go back towards the Temple and then hoped back into the trees to watch the sun rise.*

::He walked towards the temple, every step brought back a memory. "Never be a Jedi again".... "Never be a Jedi again".... Why did he become a Jedi in the first place? Ah, now he remembered.... Funny, how things happen, why they happen, everything has a reason. Sage walked closer and closer to the temple. Strangely, he felt afraid to enter it. A Jedi afraid of a temple full of his own kind, uncharactoristic to say the least. He deactivated his saber and clipped it to his belt. He got to the doors of the Jedi Temple. He layed his hands on the door, not opening them yet. He breathed in deep, and then exhaled in a failed attempt to releave tension. He pushed the doors open and entered the Temple.....::
