Back on the unknown planet

Luke make's his way up the stairs, Luke ascends two levels then comes to a landing with a door leading out of the stairway.

Luke cracks the door open and peers out, he sees a large room filled with people hurrying about from place to place, and many computer screens.

Luke looks along the walls to see if he can get a look of the outside, so he could see if it was nighttime or day. There were no windows on this side of the building, at least not within his view, due to the amount of people in the area Luke decides that it would be better for him to keep ascending the stairs then to risk detection walking among his captors.

Luke closes the door carefully and turns back towards the stairs and again begins climbing up.

Luke has gone up three levels before he comes to another door, Luke peers out the door and again is met with a room with many people running around and no windows to be seen.

Luke ascends another level and finds another door, but the stairs have stopped so he will have little choice on entering this floor.

Luke opens the door slowly and peers out. Luke sees a passageway on the other side of the door, Luke passes through the door and peers around the corner.

The passage way is lined with doors on both sides, Luke rounds the corner and makes his way down the passage way to the first door, the sing on it is marked "Weapon's Locker", Luke continues down the passage way and crosses to the other side to another door, when he hears a loud beep or tone.

Luke looks across the passage way and notices a lift, with the doors opening, Luke quickly Ducks inside the door and closes it so it is only open a crack.

Luke looks behind him at the room he had ducked into, a wry smile crosses his face.
"now tell me how lucky I am." The sign on one of the walls reads Communications Room - Charlie

**Leia heads back to Temple Avalon. The grieve stricken Jedi Master had come to a very solemn decision, she must prepare to make memorial services for her brother. The thought alone..tore Leia's heart. She truly didn't want to think such horrible thoughts. But, in the back of her mind, she had searched for her dear brother. What even puzzled her more was her link to her brother was severed so much so, she could not feel his presence in the force no more. That alone, made Leia to decide to go ahead with the memorial services**

**Arriving back to her office...Leia sat down at her desk and took out her datapad, while tears started to flow down her cheeks, she proceeded to make the necessary arrangements**

Luke crosses the room to a desk with a computer monitor. Luke tries to open a communications channel but the terminal is inert. Luke again looks at the sign on the wall then throws his head back and closes his eyes.

"Of Course Communications room Charlie, this is only a backup communications room and I would say the second of at least two."

Luke moves through the room and tries several other monitors but they are all inert except one.

Luke approaches the one active terminal, but it is not a Comm terminal its more of a internal systems terminal, Luke presses a square on the screen. The screen changes to a list of menu options.

Luke presses the floor map option and a map of the current floor is shown on the screen, Luke looks over the map but doesn't see any areas that lead to the outside.

Luke touches one of the stairwell icons and the image changes to the next floor below him, Luke looks over the floor map.

Luke sees a marking for communications room Bravo

But still Luke can find no entrances that lead to the out side., there is one area that says cargo bay 7, strange that they don't call it a storage area or warehouse.

Luke continues his map reading and takes the map down 2 more floors.

"Hey, what's this?…engine room?….I'm not on a planet after all, I'm on a ship!, now we just have to figure out what part of the galaxy I'm in."

Luke finds a data pad sitting nearby and downloads the map into the pad and turns back towards the door.

Just as Luke opens the door and peers out, an announcement is made throughout the ship.
A soft, female sounding voice booms through the speakers.

" Attention., Attention., security condition yellow is now in effect all security personnel report to the security briefing monitor on your deck. Attention., Attention.," the message then repeats

Luke watches the passageway and sees several armed troops run pass his position, Luke waits and watches.

Luke sees a trooper in full gear, helmet, laser rifle, sidearm and body armor, heading toward him. Luke decides that he will need a better disguise, so he waits until the trooper passes his hiding place. Luke opens the door and comes up behind the trooper and grabs him in a choke hold around the neck, cutting off his supply of oxygen, after only a few seconds the trooper falls to the ground unconscious.

Luke drags the trooper back to the communications room and strips him of his uniform and ties, gags and locks him into a storage locker. Luke hopes that since this is a backup communications room, no one will be coming in looking around anytime soon.

Luke puts on the trooper's uniform and walks out into the hall, turns to his left and makes his way down the hallway the way the trooper was headed.

Luke rounds the corner and notices the troopers standing in the middle of the corridor looking at a monitor, Luke faces the monitor and sees a very unflattering picture of himself.

Luke realizes that they have discovered that he escaped from his cell and they will now be on the look out for him. Another announcement is made through the ship

" attention., attention; deck 9 is now on lockdown all non essential personnel please evacuate the area attention., attention" The message Repeats

HMM, I hope that means that they are just going deck by deck
Luke starts to backup slowly towards the rear of the group, when the head trooper points to him.
YOU
Luke is sure that he has been made, Luke stops suddenly
yes sah Luke mutters in as fake as a voice as he can muster
the trooper continues to point out troopers

you, and you will come with me the rest of you start searching the deck room by room, and remember this is a very tricky prisoner, set your weapons for heavy stun, then shoot as ask questions later.

Luke, the head trooper, and two of the of troopers head off to search the deck.

Luke follows his unit down the corridor, they search each room they come to, Luke watches for a time when he can lose his "friends".

as they round the corner Luke spies a hatch that had not fully closed, the others walk into the next room and begin to search it, Luke then runs to the hatch, opens it the rest of the way and climbs down the ladder and closes the hatch completely behind him.

Luke enters the next deck and finds a room marked "Sensors".

Luke enters the room hoping to find out where in the galaxy he is.

Luke walks over to one of the counsels and punches up a short range scan of the system.

"hmm...according to this, the ship is on the edge of the known system, I might be able to make a call to Dagabah, if I can find a commuication nexus."

Luke takes out the datapad with the map of the ship that he downloaded. Luke searches thru the map and finds the main comm room on deck 3. Luke accesses a terminal and finds his current location on deck 4.

"ok...down one more deck to the communication room"

Luke opens the door and peers out, just as the lift across the hall opens and a squad of troopers step out. "OH FRAK", Luke closes the door and turns around to find a place to conceal himself but there is no closets or hidden places in the room. Luke unclips his lightsaber and stands beside the door..."I may have to make a fighting run to the lift" "Leia.., why havn't you found me yet? Did she give up the search?, she must know that something has happened"

Luke opens the door and peers out again......

Luke see's a lone trooper standing next to the lift, carefully Luke probes the troopers mind and makes him think that he heard somthing off to his left, as the trooper moves off towards the sound Luke steps out into the corridor and when the door closes he approaches the lift.

As Luke gets closer to the lift, the trooper starts to turn around, Luke thinks quickly and motions to the trooper.

"You, the commander needs you down there", Luke points to a corridor on the other end of the hall.

the trooper turns and runs down the hall and turns the corner, Luke watches him and presses the lift button and when the door opens he enters and pushes the button for the next deck down.

The lift opens on the next deck and Luke exits.

after checking his map on the datapad Luke walks along the corridor until he finds what he is looking for. The sign on the door reads.
Communications room. Luke enters the room and sees that it is filled with people going about their business. A man approaches Luke.

"May I help you with something, trooper?" the man asks.
"No, Just a routine check of systems, I was sent to check the comm logs" luke responds. "very well, umm...go ahead and use the terminal in my office" the communications officer points to a door on the far bulkhead.

Luke crosses the room, enters the office and quickly access the computer for a low grade frequency....

shortly luke finds a frequency that will not be detected.

he fishes a device out of his weapons belt and records the automated message into the message carrier and awaits a response.

after only a few minutes the reponse is returned.

Rogue carrier in route one x wing escourt...eta 2 hours.

luke is puzzeled...only 2 hrs they must have been close to the outer territories.

luke decides that he must get to the shield generator room so he knock out the shields and then get to the hanger for a ship, Luke checks the weapon he took off of the trooper he knocked out..."good, the rifle has a timed overload setting" time to get to the sheild control room.

Luke turns and exits the office and makes his way to the shield control room

comm officer:sir, we are receiving a slave circuit recall...and its from Master skywalker

Kyle:ok let the ship go to it, but get the engines output to max. we have to get there in a hurry and let Luke know what has happened at dagabah lately. send an eta back on that signal

the ship enters hyperspace

Helm Officer:Sir!, Long range scans have picked up the vessel carrying Commander Skywalker.

Kyle Katarn:Good, rig the ship for silent running...Katarn to Engineering engage the prototype cloaking device[/i]. Helm officer over ride the recall and plot us an intercept course

Helm Officer:aye sir, course plotted and laid in, ETA thirty min.

[b]Kyle Katarn: Tactical, place the ship on yellow alert.

Communications, send a coded message to the counsel, inform them that Commander Skywalker has been found, and request a backup ship.

the prototype cloak engages and the ship disappears from sensors and from view.

**A communication officer receives the following:**

Commander Skywalker has been found, and request a backup ship.

Communications Officer: Someone please alert Master Solo immediately about this. She must know about this at once!

NR Officer: Aye, Aye, Sir! I will contact Jedi Master Leia immediately sir!

**The New Republic Officer dashes off and grabs a commlink**

**Leia currently in her office was looking at her datapad going over some important memos. When suddenly she gets a buzz over her commlink**

NR Officer: Master Solo...we want to inform you that at our Communications Center we received an urgent message. Commander Skywalker has been found and we are in the process of sending him help to have him safely return to us.

**A look of shock falls over Leia but, turns to one of sheer joy as a tear falls down her cheek. She calms herself immediately to return a msg to the officer**

Leia: Thank you for relaying that important message. Please keep me posted on anything and everything you know about Luke. I want to be briefed on this immediately upon any new findings and updated events. Thank you. Over.

NR Officer: Yes...Master Solo. We will keep you inform. Copy, over and out!

Luke walks down the corridor following his map to the shield control room. Luke approaches the corner and peers around.

"One guard, hmm shouldn't be too difficult"

Luke approaches the guard

"The commander requested I check the shield parameters, to make sure the prisoner didn't somehow get into them"

Guard: yes, sir..but I will need to see your authorization orders.

Luke looks into the guards eyes you do not need to see my orders.

Guard: yes, I do sir

Luke realizes that the old mind trick won't work on this trooper.

"very well" Luke starts to reach into his uniform and suddenly looks up
and yells

"Hey You!, Come back here". the trooper turns to see who Luke is yelling at, and at that time Luke grabs his light saber and clubs the trooper over the head, knocking him out. "as Han would say 'Boring conversation anyway' now to get to work"

Luke drags the trooper into the control room and ties him up, then goes to work on setting the rifle overload timer on the controls of the shield generators.

Luke checks his Chronometer "hmm about 15 minutes left, ok so we set it for ten minutes" Luke sets the timer and heads for the landing bay.

Luke hurries down the corridor and finds the landing bay with out too much trouble, surprisingly the bay is not guarded. Luke enters the bay and is able to sneak aboard a one man fighter craft, after becoming familiar with the controls Luke seeks out the weapons controls and prepares a missile to take out the bay doors, now all he needs to do is wait for the charges to go to work, in the confusion he should be able to start up the fighter, blow the bay doors and make his escape and hopefully his friends won't be tofar away...

The Rogue transport arrives on station.

Comm Officer: Sir!, we are in range of the ship holding Skywalker, estimated time to intercept is about five minutes, what are your orders? Do you wish to show ourselves?

Kyle: no, not yet, we will wait for Luke to make his move, and if I know him he will make sure that we won't miss it. send the ship to battlestations and follow that ship

Comm Officer: aye, sir

Luke sits in the fighter craft watching his chronometer..

five.....four....three...two..one.

there is an explosion that is felt through out the ship, Luke checks the fighter's sensors and see's that the ship's sheilds have gone down.

Luke power's up the fighter, which takes only a few minutes.

Luke buckles into the pilot seat and calls up the weapon's system and fires a pair of missiles at the bay doors.

the doors are blown out into space.

Luke hits the throttle and the fighter launches into space. Luke performs many evasive maneuvers while waiting for the nav computer to complete its calculations for the jump to light speed.

over comm system: Skywalker, return to the ship and surrender, you will not be harmed...if you do not return immediatly then we will be forced to destroy you....fire em pulse

a pulse is sent to luke's ship which cripples his computer systems, including the nav computer.
the ship launches several fighters to chase Luke down.

Luke opens a communicaitons channel on all N.R. FreguenciesThis is Commander Skywalker to any new republic ships I am under attack, nav computer is out, multiple enemy contacts. Luke sets the message on auto-repeat and concentrates on keeping his ship flying. Luke checks the sensors and sees an asteroid field near by and steers for it.

on board the Rogue transport

Kyle sits looking out the main view screen, he sees the bay doors fly out into space, and then a lone craft flies out of the ship.

Kyle watches the small fighter fly away from the main ship.

Comm Officer:sir, incoming transmission from that fighter, its being broadcast on all N.R. frequencies.

Kyle Katarn: Lets hear it

comm officer: aye sir.

This is Commander Skywalker to any new republic ships I am under attack, nav computer is out, multiple enemy contacts.

comm officer: the message repeats sir,

Katarn: very well, helm officer take us in, decloak the ship all stations on battle ready.

comm officer open frequency to the aggressor and advise him that he is chasing a New Republic citizen and should break off their attack., then send a coded message to the fleet and the counsel inform them of our current status.

comm officer: aye sir

the Rogue transport cuts through space with its batteries firing at the small fighter craft.

communications channel opened:
[i]Luke, this is kyle, turn to 315 and prepare to enter hanger bay

Kyle makes an internal ships announcement.
[b]attention: scramble defensive wing echo...

a combination of x-wing, a-wing and y-wings exit the transport and engage the enemy force.

Kyle notices that luke had picked up a tail. "tactical neutralize that ship trailing skywalker" the tactical officer acknowledges the order and sends orders to one of the pilots.

shortly the trailing ship is disabled and Luke turns towards the oncoming transport:

Luke opens a comm channel to the attacking craft.
[b][i]Attacking vessel, stand down your weapons and prepare to be boarded just then Luke notices the aggressor turn away from the battle and pull away towards a hyperspace jump point, with in minutes the ship enters hyperspace.

Luke lands his ship in the landing bay and makes his way up to the bridge.

a few minutes later

"Kyle...thanks, but what were you doing way out here, who is defending Dagabah?"

as the ship makes its approach to the new jedi home kyle finishes tell Luke of the attack on dagabah....

luke to say the least was very surprised, but he knew that now is the time that the jedi must unite together...
