OOC:This thread is to recount the parts of Summoners history that he either doesn't remember or doesn't know about... it is started in a way here (http://pub1.ezboard.com/fthejediloungevisitingarea.showMessage?topicID=164 2.topic)... if you would like to get involved get in touch with me...

**Tondry and Summoner walk back from the pool tables at Yog's and put away their pool cues... Grabing their cases and a couple of beers Sums leads Tondry outside to a spot out of the way and sits down on a rock...**

Now what were you saying???

Pierce shuts the latches on his pool stick's case. "Don't tell me you don't remember?"

Sums slowly shakes his head and Pierce's lip twists. "All right, here's what I know."

"Black Omega was a division of Intel that operated off a planet called Tarris in one of the Unknown Regions Border Sectors," Pierce starts. "They were good at all things related to covert ops. Reputedly a bit fanatic about their devotion to the New Order, but in all other respects very good."

Pierce pauses, trying to remember everything he can.

Intel??? that can't be right... i mean if i was part of Intel i would think that you or Isard would know who i am... but you don't... and i've never talked to Isard, but i doubt she would... so how and why did i end up in some intel team???

**a look of frustration crosses sums face as he tries to figure out the missing parts of his past...**

OOC:i forgot to link them but if you are interested in where this is going i suggest reading my new Bio (http://www.geocities.com/sith_summoner/SummonerBio.html) and this thread (http://pub4.ezboard.com/fsithempire76244frm11.showMessage?topicID=327.topi c)

"Of course it's right!" Pierce snorts. "The reason Isard doesn't know is because she didn't care back when she would've been able to know. Tarris is, or was, a nowhere planet. The Republic doesn't know it exists because it's in the Unknown Regions. The Empire used to know, but when it fell we lost a lot of info, destroying it in order to keep it out of enemy hands. If Isard ever issued orders to the units on Tarris, it would've been to the top brass, not to you."

Pierce takes a drag off his cigarra, the end glowing faintly in the dark. "The reason I know is because one of the soldiers in my old army unit got transferred to Tarris under the Black Omega division. After I was put in under the Elrood branch of Intel, he sent me a welcoming letter with a picture of himself and the tattoo, which is how I recognized it."

With little effort, Pierce hefts his pool stick case over his back in preparation for leaving. "As for how you got into Black Omega- that's a tough one. You had to be damn good at what you did, that's for sure. I was working for a transfer over there, but there was some major fiasco on Tarris and the division got distanced in order to keep things hush-hush."

"I'm not certain I could get much info on the place, but I'm positive I could at least get some coordinates from that letter."

Giving Sums a knowing glance, Pierce grins. "That is, if you're interested."

Interested??? Pierce if it even gives me a piece of my past I'm interested... but i don't want you doing anything thats going to get you in trouble...

**Sums gets up and looks at Tondry already knowing the answer to that one... Sums slyly smiles as soon as its confirmed...**

" I go back to Coruscant," Pierce says. "I have to dig through Intel files for a bit- classified stuff. You go back to TSE and get ready. I'll call you in a few days to let you know if I've got something solid. If I do, I'm sure there's some people you'd like to mention to that you're heading out."

Sums' eyes go distant and Pierce grins at the thoughtful expression on the Sith's face. "Get a move on, army boy. We've got business to take care of."

As Summoner starts to head off to the place where his ship is docked, Pierce thinks of something. "Yo, Sums!" Summoner turns and Pierce fishes through his pockets for something. "Keep this with you- it's some rendezvous coordinates for us to meet at."

Summoner catches the short hyperspace coordinate module Pierce tosses to him. He fires off a quick salute, which Pierce returns, and the two head off in different directions into the Dagobah swamps.

**Sums starts a light jog back to where he left the Dark Viper parked at the Dagobah space port... those that he passed could here him muttering something about being called "Army Boy" and that somebody would pay for that comment...**

~~~A Couple Days Later~~~
**Sums sat in his office trying to finish some back paper work and clean up some of the rutine stuff knowing that he may be away for as short as a week or as long as a couple of months... for about the millionth time he anxiously looked over at his comm panel looking for any word from Tondry... thats all he needed... everything else was set... sitting in the corner of his desk was the hyperspace coordinate module and a data pad with a message telling that he was taking a leave of absence... that one he would give one of the masters before he left... the light on his comm panel started blinking with an incoming message... hoping it was Tondry Sums answered it immediately... when the face of a ship mechanic showed up Sums face showed his disapointment...**
Yes???
Mech: Sir, are you planning on leaving anytime soon???
Yes... Why???
Mech: Well, ummm... Well the DV needs to be stood down for maintenance Sir... Where showing some type of fluid leaking...
*Sums sighed heavily...**
Very well... Stand her down and notify ShadowBlade to step up their status for departure at any time...
Mech: I can't do that sir...
Why the hell not... **Sums replied with a hint of anger in his voice**
Mech: Master Diamante is still using her sir...
Oh thats right... fine... have one of the TSE command shuttles preped with the same orders... though i will pilot myself...
Mech: Sir??? **The mechanic watched Sums face grow with anger** Uhh yes sir
**With that Sums shuts off the comm... and muttered something about "finding good help"... soon he was back to the rutine of paper work and watching the comm again...**
The comm beeped again and Summoner flicked it on. "Yes?"
This time, it turned out to be the call he'd been waiting for. "Sums," Pierce's face greeted him. "I found what we're looking for, and I cross-referenced it with a few things from Intel's databases."
"Long story short, I've got Terris' coordinates, as well as a few tidbits of info on it. You've got a week to finish up whatever you're doing and head to our rendezvous point. I'll be waiting with a group of agents I'll refer to as Tau Team- they're my personal command, and I trust them to watch my back."
Pierce abruptly turns to gaze at something off camera. "Anyway, I'll contact you later. Make sure you're ready for a fight, Sums, because we're in for one. Lancer-out."
**Sums smiles and calls the hanger deck to alert them that he would be departing within the hour... completing the conversation Sums begins to shut off his computers and file folders and data pads into the proper drawers or his safe... quickly finishing he grabs the the two objects in the corner of desk plus the empty data pad underneath it... Heading out of his office in the HQ he steps into the halls heading of the council chambers looking for one of the masters...
Entering the chambers Sums looks around... finding that none of the masters are to be found... leaving the room he heads for the elavator to take him down to the living quarters... as the door opens Sums steps in colliding with someone as they step off... looking up he smiles...**
Ummm... Sorry bout that Rain...
Rain: It's okay.
Thanks... Well anyway, I'd love to stay and chat but i have to try and find one of the masters before i leave...
Rain: Leave? Where are you going?
Umm... well i don't have time to explain... but here...
**Sums takes the empty data pad and copy's the message for the leaders into it and hands it to her...**
Rain: Uh. Thanks, i think.
Sorry but thats the best i can do... i'm running late... which reminds me can you do me a huge favor please??
**Rain nods**
Thanks... can you give this to one of the leaders for me please... i'd do it myself if i wasn't in such a rush...
Rain: Sure, I guess.
Thanks...
**Sums hands her the second data pad and steps into the elavator...**
See you when i get back...
**The doors close and start to rise... Sums thinks about what Tondry had said... and quietly added "I hope" to his final sentance to Rain as he quickly rises to the surface**
*Rain sighed as the elevator left, she could feel the slight twinge in her chest that had come when Sums said he was leaving fade slowly. It wasn't like Sums hadn't ever been away before, and it wasn't like she ever really cared either. But this time there was just uncertainty in his eyes when he had said "See you when I get back". And it was that hint of uncertainty that troubled her mind now. She shook her head trying to clear her thoughts and started to walk down one of the halls, hoping to run into one of the Masters so that she could give them the data pad as promised. As she walked she read over one of the ones Sums had handed her, not paying attention to where she was going.*
Inside Sith Empire HQ
Inside the lavish quarters that he and his wife shared at Sith Empire Head Quarters, Ogre could be seen swinging the glass door of the trophy case within shut. He had just finished placing the latest acquisition he had received as a gift from Dalethria upon the top shelf, dead center. It was a lightsaber that had belonged to Jedi Knight Leia Solo. As he stood there looking over the various items within the case, he was interrupted from his reminiscing by a beeping sound emitting from the office area in the adjacent room.
With a curious expression he turned and made his way to the desk and pressed a button on the keypad. The holo display lit up with the face of a man familiar to the large green Sith, a man he felt should be watched carefully, especially any dealings he had with the Empire, namely one Pierce Tondry, second in command of ImpIntel.
It was common practice that all incoming communication transmissions to the Sith Empire facility were monitored for various security reasons, and Ogre had flagged the program for any that carried the ImpIntel encryption schemes. He had been keeping a watchful eye on the sniper and now it seemed interesting to him that the Imperial had dealings with Fleet Commander/Military OPs specialist Summoner.
“Terris?” Ogre muttered to himself, wondering what could be there that held such great interest to Summoner. The mention of being ready to fight caught Ogre’s attention fully and it was that last sentence which confirmed his resolve to do something about this situation. He must keep tabs on Summoner, while not alarming any of the other members of the Empire.
Not sure if Sums had departed yet or not, Ogre exited his quarters to make his way to the underground hangar, so that he could check the logs there and see if the was any sign of Sum’s having left. As he stepped into the corridor outside his room, he was greeted by a voice, it was Sith Warrior Rain, trying to get his attention.
“Master Ogre?” she said with a hint of uneasiness in her voice as she bent and the knees and the waist in a bow of respect. Ogre responded, turning towards her, acknowledging her bow with a nod. “Yes Rain. Is there something you need of me?” She rose from her bow and offered him the data-pad, stating that Sums had left it with her and instructed her to pass it on to a leader. Ogre pressed the data-pad’s activation button and the message flicked onto the screen.
Re: Leave of Absence
M'Lords and Lady I regret not being able to bring this to your attention personally, however time was of the essence. I am taking a leave of absence. Some information was presented to me by a friend that could possibly lead to discovering information of my past. I hope that this will not cause any problems. I do not know when i will return from my trip. Until then may the Empire flourish.
Also, due to my personal vessels being unavailable to me I have taken one of the TSE command shuttles.
Sith Knight Summoner</font>
After reading the message Ogre looked up from the data-pad to Rain, as she awaited a response from him. “Do you know what is going on here?” A puzzled look washed over her features and she answered him with what appeared to be an embarrassed shake of her head. “Well, I am going to investigate this a little further and if you would like to know more yourself, you can accompany me.”
Rain smiled at the idea that she could learn more about what was going on. "I..I'd be honored to accompany you, Master Ogre." She bowed slightly again.
"I've been wanting to know what was going on since he left. He seemed almost unsure that he'd be coming back though when he spoke with me." She paused before saying the next part silently to herself "...I hope he's alright."
**Sums had finally arived at the rendez-vous point... in total the trip that would normally would have only taken a couple days actually took 6 and a bit, but Sums had stoppd at Demon's Gate to pick up some personal items as well as some of his other personal weapons... finding the rendez-vous co-ordinates empty and not finding any ships on the scanners, Sums moved to the back cabin of the shuttle... resting on one of the padded yet rather uncomfortable benches along the walls of the shuttle was a black case... picking it up he took it and sat down with it on the floor... opening the lid revealed his new sniper rifle... almost exactly the same as the one that had been destroyed during the droid shooting fun that he and Tondry had taken part in at Yog's, it was different in some minor ways... removing it from the case he layed it in front of him... closing his eyes Sums began the ritual of saying a small prayer before striping down the rifle to be cleaned... It was so much second nature to him that Sums was able to complete the task with his eyes closed the entire time...**
**Half an hour later the rifle was back in its case and the case back on the bench... Sums was laying on his back on the floor of the shuttle trying to get some rest before Tondry arrived... but no sleep came... only thoughts of what might be ahead of him... and what he might be leaveing behind forever unfinished...**
Rain and Ogre had gone together to the underground hangar, and Ogre easily determined which Shuttle Sums had commandeered. Obtaining its transponder code, Ogre had his astromech droid, R27 D9 upload it into his personal ship, a YT-2400 designated the Dauntless.
The Dauntless left the underground hangar approximately twelve hours after Sum’s shuttle had, according to their logs, and Ogre intended to be very cautious in following the trail, as his small personal ship was considerably faster then what Sums had left in. Ogre had left a message wich any member of TSE could read if they inquired about either his, Rain's, or Sums' absence, which stated when they had left, and the trandponder code of Sums' shuttle.
He and Rain discussed each of their concerns briefly about what Sums was up to, neither finding any answers from the other. The only real fact they had was from the transmission Ogre had overheard, the name of the planet he was going to, Terris.
In the blackness of deep space hung the TSE shuttle Summoner had departed in from Monto Curdo, waiting.
Without warning, there were suddenly two ships.
######
"Sums, you there? Sums if that shuttle is you, wake up!"
Shaking himself awake, Summoner looked at the comm and flicked it on. "Pierce?" he asked of it.
"Yeah, it's me," the voice told him, though the voice itself was confirmation of enough at this point.
"When did you get here?" Sums asked as he examined his records. According to them, it had been only thirty seconds since the ship had shown up- no hyperwaves, no drive emissions, nothing- right beside him.
"I've been here for about two days," Pierce responded. "While you were busy getting ready and getting out here, I was busy doing a recon of Terris. I found out some things and confirmed others, then headed back. I've been waiting under cloak since."
The fact that he didn't recall Intelligence freighters coming with cloaking devices caused Summoner to look hard at Pierce's ship. "Is that new?"
"Her shakedown cruise," Pierce answered with pride. "In memory of her predecessor, she's named Trigger Happy. She gets a new name once this venture out to Terris is done with."
"What's the new name?"
"Not important right now," Pierce replied, and a note of dischord seeped into his voice. "You know that planet of yours, Sums?"
"Yeah?" Summoner felt his unease growing. "What happened to it?"
"It's been taken over by rebels."
**Sums thought about what Tondry had said as he piloted his shuttle into the top bay of the frieghter... when the doors where closed and the bay was pressurized Sums exited the shuttle and walked to the doors of the bay where he was met by Tondry...**
Reble's huh???
"It seemed that way..." **Tondry started to lead Sums to quarters where he would stay during the trip**
We talking alliance reble's though??? i mean i've never heard of Tarris and either had you... i would have thought a alliance supported planet would be known by you guys...
"They didn't seem to be..."
well at least thats something... You think we're going to have any problems with getting the info that I'm looking for???
"Don't know... Guess we'll have to wait and see..." **They stopped in fron of a door and Tondry slid in the access key...** "your going to have to stay here for the rest of the trip, ImpIntel vessel and all that..."
Ya no prob... i could do for some rest... if i can get any that is... Come get me whenever we get, well home...
**A couple hours later Sums was shaken from his sleep by an ensign, or at least a guy wearing an ensign's uniform. You never could tell on a Intel vessel. The ensign told him that Tondry wanted him on the bridge and to follow him. Sums followed the ensign through a short hallway that led to the bridge. Stepping onto the bridge, Sums walked up to Tondry.**
What's up?
"Thought you might want to take a look at home."
**Sums looked out the plexi-glass window at a medium sized planet. It looked like it had most every ecosystem at some point on its surface, from lush green forests to deep blue oceans.**
It's gorgeous.
"Ya well we need to be getting down to old gorgeous. And well I can't get on the comm. for security reasons, so your it."
Sure no problem. Just point me to the comm...
**Pierce did and Sums opened a visual connection. The controller on the other end look visibly shocked by the new arrivals. Of course. Sums thought, We were cloaked till a couple seconds ago. The controller regained some of his composure and asked Sums for the ships ID and its business on Tarris**
This is the independent freighter Trigger Happy II, we are here to pick up cargo of course.
**It took a couple minutes but finally they were cleared to land. Sums turned to give the helm orders before turning off the comm. As he turned the controller noticed the tattoo on Sums' shoulder before the screen went blank. He promptly picked up the phone and called his superior. He knew what that tattoo was and the trouble it usually brought with it.
Meanwhile Trigger Happy quickly made her decent to the main spaceport on the surface. When they landed Sums turned to Tondry.**
So, where to first?
They had been traveling for approximately six hours when suddenly the tracking system lost the transponder signal. Ogre continued on in the vector that the ship had last been located and stopped once they arrived at the spot it had been. “The signal stopped here and then vanished.” He informed Rain, just before he looked down to the computer system and began to run extensive scans.
After a couple hours and a few modifications, he was able to find what appeared to be a trail, a trail of residual fuel burn. “I’ve found at least some type of trail.” He professed as he re-initiated the ships engines, following the trail at a slow pace as it was difficult to follow with any precision moving at high speed.
Several hours later the transponder tracker began to beep with signs of a signal once again, surprising Ogre and Rain as they had become quiet deeply involved in tracking the residues and piloting the ship meticulously to follow them. “The signal is back?” Ogre wondered what had happened and quickly determined that there must have been a secondary vessel that Sums had meet up with and docked with, a secondary vessel with a cloaking device from the looks of things.
Letting out a sigh of relief that their tedious work was over, Ogre plotted a course for the location of the now unmoving transponder signal. A few minutes later, the Dauntless blinked into hyperspace as it raced to what they believed was the planet of Terris.
"Information gathering, Sums," Pierce shook his head. "That's the first thing you do on inhabited planets. Man, if I didn't know better, I'd say you're acting as giddy as a junior cadet."
"Yeah, well, you've probably been able to go home whenever you like," Summoner countered.
Pierce frowned. "Actually, I haven't been home in eight years. Just never had the urge to go."
Sums looked at him. "Well, where is it?"
"Chandrila." Pierce paused, then jerked his thumb at the hallway leading to the exit. "Get going."
"Ya. Okay, I'll get my gear and be going."
Pierce waited until Summoner had left, then went back to the cargo hold that had become Tau Team's residence. "Nightfall's in five hours," he told Agent Ludos, who was their acting commander. "Make sure you're ready to move."
Pierce waited for Ludos' confirming nod. "Also," he added. "Don't depend on Summoner's too much. He seems out of it right now. It'll be our job to keep him from tripping over any mines he misses while his head is in the clouds."
Ludos gave him a second nod and Pierce returned to the cockpit, where he relaxed into his chair and began downloading tourist information on the planet. He did worry about Summoner sometimes, but his comrade was a capable fighter. Hopefully, there wouldn't be any trouble.
Pierce frowned to himself and went back to getting acquainted with Terris, trying to ignore the feeling that trouble was exactly what they were getting into.
**Sums walked back to the room where he had been "placed" when he first arrived. He had thought his usual outfit would cause a little to much attention, so he had packed some clothes to try and hide some of his weapons while still being able to carry them. He pulled the items out of the bag and put them on. They felt uncomfortable as he wasn't used to anything but his fatigues and tank top. Now he was dressed in slightly less military style pants, a regular T-shirt and a long black coat. Clipped to his belt behind his back was a special holster for his desert eagle. His Sith knife was in its sheath clipped to the side. He left the case carrying his rifle on the ship as it was a little to noticeable.
When he stepped back onto the bridge Pierce had finished getting the info that he was looking for.**
So, what do you think of the threads?
"Better, good idea, your other stuff stood out a little too much."
Yeah, that's what I thought. Anyway, ready to go?
"Yes, got our first stop right here."
**Sums and Tondry headed off the ship and towards the fairly large city outside the spaceport. As Tondry lead the way, Sums looked around at the sights they passed. The temperature was moderate, but pleasant with little humidity. The buildings, mainly tall office buildings or smaller shops, where for the most part were clean and painted with brighter colours or completely made of glass panels. Sums still couldn't completely think of this planet as home, he needed answers before he could do that, but he knew that even without those answers something felt right about this foreign place.
After about an hour of walking around the city they arrived at their destination. It was one of the tallest buildings in the city and had the glass panels on it. As they walked in Sums saw the sign on the door, Hall of Records. Obviously he thought, where else would you start to look for the past.**
Anything?
"Yes, but it's risky."
Do I care?
"That's what I thought. Come on."
**Tondry led Sums to one of the computers in the back of the third floor of the building. Looking at it, Sums didn't see anything different about it, except that it had some type of periferal.**
"Put your hand on there."
What?
"Just do it."
**Sums did as he was told, the periferal must have been some type of DNA or hand scanner, because within seconds information started appearing on the screen.**
"Don't know, but we have to get out of here," Pierce said. "If you're still that classified after death, they'll probably have the computer system keyed to recognize you."
"Right," Summoner answered. The two of them began walking quickly back the way they'd come.
They reached the lobby, where Pierce paused. "You go on ahead outside- I'm going to look for something real quick."
"What is it?" Summoner asked.
"I want to see if there are any historical records of this revolution," Pierce said, already heading in the direction of . "See if there are any major battles or figures."
"Don't take long," his comrade cautioned him. "They probably have your picture next to mine in some security video."
"Tell it to someone who doesn't already know, Summs," Pierce grinned, and headed into the terminals. He appropriated a terminal that looked as if it had been temporarily abandoned and pulled up a quick briefing on the recent military events. It didn't take long to make a quick hard copy of the information, and once he did he cleared out the search and stood to leave.
Standing in the lobby, however, were four armed guards, two at the desk and two at the door. Pierce walked as casually as he could through the pair at the door and continued across the street. He spotted Summoner in a cafe not far down the street and moved to join his comrade.
"Looky what I found," Pierce grinned, waving the flimsy at his partner, who snatched it out of his hands. "And wouldn't you know it, it tells where the recent revolution began?"
Summoner greedily devoured the information. "This is great, Pierce," he said. "Now we can go hunting."
"Assuming there's anything left of the ba- hm?" Pierce broke off, causing Summs to look at him. Summoner followed the direction of the Intelligence agent's eyes.
The four guards from the library had just run out into the street, and were scanning the crowds.
**Sums looked at the troopers and then smiled. Seconds later, he and Pierce watched as the troopers started to arrest what looked to be a happy couple on a leisurely walk. Sums started laughing and Pierce looked at him questioningly.**
Your the woman, now lets go.
**Sums got up and started walking back to the ship. Pierce caught up to him quickly having figured out that Sums had used a force mind trick on the gauds.
The sun was low on the horizon when the pair arrived back at the ship. Sums went to the back to change back into his fatigues and tank top, while Tondry headed for the cockpit to find out any info he could on the base.
Stepping back onto the bridge Sums walked over to Tondry.**
Anything?
"You want the good news or the bad news?"
Good I guess.
"The base is still there."
And the bad?
"Its now a major training facility. The defenses around the place are unreal."
Are they bad enough that a Sith Knight and a willy Intel operative couldn't get through them?
"Well no, but that wasn't the point. Here, these are the blue prints that I was able to get."
**Sums took the data pad and looked it over. Two rooms caught his interest. One the records room. The other the main computer core. They were side by side, more than likely for ease in data transfer between the two, but they were also in the very heart of the building. Sums looked up about to say that that was where he wanted to go when Tondry cut him off.**
"I know, it will be a tough one to get there but with your force ability and my, specialties, I don't think we'll have much of a problem."
Fine. When do we go?
"Tonight. There is a changing of the guards at 0200. We'll go in then. If we leave now we can get to the basic area by 2300 get an hours sleep each and do some basic recon before we go in."
Sounds like a plan. I'll go grab the rest of my gear.
**They left the freighter half an hour later. Both were dressed in all black fatigues and carried what personal weapons each had with them.
The facility was in the middle of a heavily forested area. It sat at the top of a series of hills giving it a easily defended position. Sums and Tondry took up a position in the tree line at the top of the nearest hill. From their vantage point they could see enough to determine their way in. After formulating a basic plan Tondry took the first watch while Sums tried to sleep.
But sleep wouldn't come. To many thoughts clouded his mind. Instead he went into a deep meditation, where he could think about things and still get the "rest" he needed until Pierce shook him out of it.
Taking the second watch Sums waited tile 0130 before waking Pierce. Within minutes they were ready to go. They spent the next half hour carefully and quietly picking their way down one hill and then up the one towards the facility at the top. Like clockwork the guard started to change at 0200, and the pair silently slipped in while the usual banter between the two guards distracted them. Entering the darkened complex Pierce quickly but silently led Sums to the computer room.**
"I'll search the data base, you check the hard copies."
**Sums nodded and entered the records room and started searching files, specifically for ones with any reference to "Summoner" or "Omega" in them. Finding nothing in the open file drawers, Sums moved to the locked ones entitled O-Z. Removin one of his lightsabers from his belt he carefully put the end to the lock and tapped the activation twice quickly. In under a second the blade jumped to life withe normal snap-hiss and then just as quickly de-activated, leaving nothing of the locking mechanism. Slidding open the top drawer he ran his fingertips over the title of the folder till one caught his eye, "Omega Project". Pulling it out he didn't even bother to look to check the contents before continuing his search. Finding 3 other folders he came to one that he had been specifically looking for, a file simply titled "Summoner". Grabbing it and the other four he exited the room to see Tondry downloading files into a data disk.**
Well I got some stuff, how did you make out?
"Downloading it now."
**As if it had been waiting for those words a message flashed over the large central monitor.
<font color=Red>Unauthorized data transfer</font>
Both the pair swore under their breaths as alarms started going off through out the building. Tondry grabbed the data disk as it finished downloading the files and turned to Sums.**
"So what now?"
Now we walk out. Just stay right beside me the entire way and we might be able to get out of here alive and in one piece.
**Tondry nodded and the exited the room. Sums concentrated on the dark side, calling on the technique of imprinting false images in the minds of others. Like earlier with the troopers Sums sent a image into the minds of all who came within visual range of the pair. This time however it was one of them in uniforms matching those running around them. To the members of the facility they looked like fellow Tarris Army personel.
Finally making it outside and then through the defensive perimeter to the forest Sums let down the illusion, as they started back towards the city.**
Did you get it?
**Tondry nodded.**
What is it?
After several hours of traveling in hyperspace, the Dauntless reentered normal space, the planet that he and Rain believed to be Tarris grew larger and larger in the front view port. Looking down at the TSE shuttle transponder signal that the scanners were still receiving, Ogre determined that this was where they would probably find his apprentice. Ogre tapped into the Darkside and was able to sense Sums’ presence on the planet’s surface. He turned to Rain and spoke while the small, modified freighter they were aboard continued to get closer to the lavish green world.
“Do you sense him there too?” The question was pretty much rhetorical, as Ogre was quite confident in his ability to feel his own Apprentice’s Force signature, and became even more rhetorical, when Rain was cut off from answering by the crackling of the comm. system coming to life with the voice of the planet’s space way controller.
“Tarris control here, state your designation and business.” The deep toned voice rang through the rather small cockpit of Ogre’s ship. Ogre probed with his senses, seeking out the man who was speaking to them down upon the small planet. He easily located the man’s simple and free of the force mind even amongst the entire population.
Pressing the send button on the comm. Ogre replied. “We are traders, on board the freighter Dauntless, we have goods to peddle at your market.” The controller repeated every word Ogre said to him in a flat emotionless tone, adding to the end of it. “…permission to land granted for pad 1138, controller out.”
With an evil grin, Ogre turned off the comm. unit and set a course for the designated beacon. The darkness of night covered the spaceport as they made their decent and touched down. There didn’t appear to be too many personnel moving around outside the ship, as Ogre stood, drawing his cloak’s hood up over his head, obscuring his face from sight.
“Now lets go see if we can figure out what it is Sums is here for.” He said to Rain as they began to head to the exit hatch of his ship.
Rain nodded to the large Sith Master as he started to leave the ship. She quickly grabbed her cloak and threw it on and before leaving she tussled up her bangs slightly, making sure her species’ signature horns were hidden.
Once outside the two Sith passed by a small group of people from another ship that was about to leave. They were surrounding a monitor that was relaying the planet's news for that day. At first she almost passed by it just as Ogre had when two familiar faces appeared and the words "Wanted" appeared under them. She quickly turned to the Sith Master and sent him a message mentally through the force so as not to attract unwanted attention.
Master Ogre! Over here!
As Ogre walked back he saw the two people were none other than Pierce and Summoner. Rain watched the view screen trying to get the basics on why exactly they were wanted. Finally she spoke quietly as the newscaster moved onto the next subject.
"Looks like we have some kind of answer."
Ogre’s lips curled in a grin as he sees the holo-display. “I would expect no less of one of my apprentices to get himself into trouble on a planet such as this.”
Looking around he noticed that the few people in the area were beginning to look in their direction curiously, seemingly surprised to see such a tall being on their planet. “Hopefully we are able to locate them before we end up wanted as well.”
The green Sith began to focus on the Force so that he could cast an illusionary aura around himself and Rain, making it appear as if the towering Sith Master were nothing more than a typical 6 foot tall human traveler. Opening his eyes back up from his concentration he looks to Rain. “Do you sense Sum’s presence? My mental efforts are slightly occupied right now.”
Pierce Tondry
"Depends on which part of the disk you're talking about," Pierce said calmly. "The part that we can't decrypt, or the part that's gibberish data and protection files?"
"So why were you downloading it?"
"It was by accident, actually," Pierce shrugged. "I was doing a tri-search for Black Omega personnel, current military personnel lists, and planetary military assignments. After all, if there's anyone living who knows anything about Black Omega, that could be helpful. I came up with a lot of encrypted information, part of which was linked to you. So I downloaded it."
Pierce held up the disk in question and gazed at it. "What we need is someone who can make sense out of this. I'll copy it for you as soon as we get back to my ship so we can unlock it later."
He looked at it, then handed to Sums. "Meantime, you hold on to it. Just in case something splits us up, they won't be able to prove I'm the thief without hard evidence."
