Kat walked through the forest alone on the small outter rim planet of Thilan. She had come back to visit the place of so many memories and to soothe the memories of her first Master.

"Hello, Jedi," a voice said.

Kat looked around, she had felt no one near yet she could of sworn that she heard someone.

"You'll not see me, I'm not there," the voice laughed.

Kat closed her eyes and reached out with the force trying to sence or feel where the person talking to her was. There was no one around for miles.

"I'm not there," the voice laughed agian. "I'm in your mind!"

"Who are you?" Kat asked.

"I am you," the voice replied.

"That's not possable."

"Yes it is! I'm the side you never wanted to admit to, the darker Kat, the one that you have nightmares about every night."

Kat winced, she remembered those nightmares. Nightmares of her killing relentlessly. Killing people who didden't deserve to die, who were innocent. People who she killed just beacuse they were alive. Some of her nightmares she'd seen herself killing her best friends . . . killing Jedi.

"You remember now don't you?" the voice taunted.

"I don't want to," Kat replied, her eyes closed like she was in some sort of pain.

"Let me out, Kat. Let me take over and all your pain will be gone."

"No, I won't let you out. I can't . . ."

"Let all those people in your dreams die? Why? Their going to die anyway."

"They don't have to die, not that soon."

"And you wonder why we call the Jedi weak. Your just as weak as the others, no matter how much life has made you hard . . . but I must admit you did a good job trying to keep me supressed for a while."

Kat felt torn she wanted to give in and just get the voice out of her head, but she knew that if she did that she would also harm the people she had vowed to protect.

"Who are you?" Kat asked agian.

"I am you, need I say more?" the voice replied.

"I mean a name, you dolt," Kat snaped. She was getting irratble with the voice in her head.

"I am called Alia," the voice answered.

Kat felt a muscle in her leg start to contract and a sharp pain burned in her calf. She fell to the ground, her leg in so much pain it coulden't suport her.

"And don't call me that agian, or I'll do worse," Alia hissed at Kat releasing her grip on the muscles of Kat's leg.

Kat waited untill the pain subsided before she stood up agian, her mind was slightly cloudy as she tried to think. Walking back the way she came she went back to her ship. Alia still taunted her and talked to her inside her head, but she shoved her voice to the back of her mind.

If there was one thing that Kat did not like right now was the fact that she was fighting just to keep her in her right mind. Haveing her head screwed on stright wasn't something she prided herself of, but where her head was becomeing completely unscrewed she knew there was something wrong.

"You can't fight me forever, Kat," Alia kept saying.

"Oh yea? Watch me," Kat replied.

"You can't keep your defences up all the time you know."

"Maybe not but that won't keep my from trying."

That made Alia subside for the time being. It was long enough for Kat to get to her ship and start heading back to the Jedi Acadmey. Once in hyperspace though, Alia returned and the fighting started all over agian, not only with the words, but with the fight to keep or gain control of Kat's mind.

Kat tried everything during her flight to stay together. She hardly ate at all, sleep was out of the question beacuse that was just the chance Alia needed to take over her head, she didden't know what else to do. She had tried meditateing or going into some sort of Jedi trance, but Alia hindered that in every way she could.

"You can't stay awake forever, you'll have to rest soon, Kat," Alia wispered in her head.

"I've gotten enough rest," Kat replied, every time she had gone into a resting trance she'd gotten a little bit of rest, and that little bit was enough to keep her going . . . for a little while anyway.

She heard the hyperspace alarm go off and ran to the cockpit, she waited for ten seconds and for once the voice in her head didden't interfear. Pulling the leaver back she brought her ship out of hyperspace.

"Very nice on so little sleep," Alia commented.

"Will you just shut up!" Kat yelled as she started to land her ship.

"Ummmmmmmm . . . no," Alia laughed.

Kat growled under her breath and brought the ship in for a landing far enough from the Acadmey that she would have to walk for a few minuites to get there. Activateing the exit ramp, Kat started walking.

"You think you can keep your mind forever?" Alia taunted her.

Kat no longer replied to Alia and kept on walking, she was starting to get frustrated. Finnishing her walk to the Acadmey she sent a knight to find one of the Masters for help.

Morgan Evanar

Morgan had been visiting GJO on bussiness. Most welcomes were not quite as warm as previous returns, but that was expected. He had pulled up rather suddenly, and there was still a slight aura of... well, surprise on Yavin. Several people who were seemingly hostile at his announcement, especially ReaperFett, had welcomed him heartily. It was good to see that feelings were running warm again.

Morgan hadn't seen Kat yet, but had been told she was around. Lo and behold, she came walking.

"Kat! How goes it?"

"Not well I'm afriad," Kat replied.

Quiet, Jedi! Alia hissed in her head.

"I need help, before I go crazy," Kat continued ignoreing Alia's warnings. "Literaly."

I'm warning you Jedi! Alia warned agian.

Shut up! Get out of my head and SHUT UP! Kat yelled in her mind.

"Kat. Humnum." Morgan was a bit taken aback. From most, he would dismiss this as silliness, but Kat seemed very serious.

"Crazy? How?"

"There's a voice," Kat started.

Quiet, Jedi! Alia hissed in Kat's mind agian.

Kat took a deep breath and started agian, "There's a voice in my head. I don't know where she came from, but she's not on my side. She almost has the ability to control me, or atleast cause a great deal of pain."

Kat could feel Alia's rage at telling Morgan about her and she started to feel a headache comeing on . . . a painfull headache.

I warned you, Jedi. Kat heard Alia wisper in her mind.

Kat winced as her temples visibly throbbed. Her hands went to her head.

"OUT! GET OUT!" Kat screamed as the pain overcame her. She looked at Morgan desperately as she fell to her knees. Tears slowly rolled out of her eyes, and a low moan came from her mouth. Morgan ran for the med wing with amazing speed. The need fueled his legs, and he became a blur.

He spied Hart Kenobi.

"HART! KAT NEEDS HELP! COME QUICK!" Morgan's voice was urgent, and he tore up loose soil as he skidded across. He pointed as he changed direction, and ran back twoards Kat.

Alia Syris

Alia swam in the pain she was inflicting on Kat's mind. She coulden't wait to get out. It would be hell for the Jedi then. And they would never see it comeing.

I told you too keep your scilence Jedi, and the pain will only get worse the more you resist me. She told Kat and she made Kat's headache increase.

"Leave me alone," Kat wimpered quietly on the ground.

You know I won't do that, Alia replied.

"Please, please just leave me alone," Kat faded away crying from the pain that even she coulden't tolorate.

Alia smiled and absorbed the pain Kat was feeling letting it make her stronger. Soon she should have enough to overpower Kat completely . . . if the Jedi didden't interfear with her plans.

OOC: this is alia. she's still in Kat's head ATM though, just a tiny piece of info for you so you don't get congused.

Hart Kenobi

An unusual ripple in the Force. A powerful one, Hart thought. He had not felt this sort of power since.....

"HART! KAT NEEDS HELP! COME QUICK!"

Hart spun and peered over his shoulder as Morgan's alarm rang out both in the wind and in his mind. Something was wrong. But what?
"Kat," Hart whispered in realization as his saber instantly jumped from his belt to cut away the brushes surrounding him, slashing a path towards his two colleagues.

"Hold on," Hart sent to Kat using the Force as he neared Morgan crouching over her body. "Fight it."

When they returned they found Kat curled up on the ground crying. She heard Hart's message in her mind and she clung to it like a safety line, useing it to help her keep her sanity and push Alia back.

Help she cried in her mind. Help me!

There's no one who can help you, Alia laughed. Your mine.
