<font size=4>Prologue

<font size=2>IC:The droid emitted it's warbles through the comm system. The scientist looked at the translator and took note of all that it was saying. He already had written three screens of readouts from the droid. His assistant scientist was in the next room with the droid. The assistant was to make sure nothing went wrong.

Warbles of excitement escaped from the droid. It's sensors swiveled back and forth along with it's dome head. It had found something. The scientist frantically copied it down on his datapad. After he was finished, the readout scrolled across the screen.

<marquee><font size=3>20 miles south of main complex. Mark 32.45. 93 degrees west. Large metal readout detected.</marquee>

Previously that day, the droid was refitted with new sensors. The sensors allowed him to reach 50 miles in each direction. The scientists had indeed stumbled upon something big. The assistant opened his comlink and directed the communications sattelite to Coruscant. They sent an encrypted message:

ocdn dn izr mzkpwgdx diozggdbzixz ozvh ji fdgz dd. qzmdadxvodji xjyz 189345. rz'qz zixjpiozmzy njhzocdib wdb. gvmbz hzovg yzozxozy ijo avm jaa amjh ocz hvdi xjhkgzs. kgzvnz nziy v wvxfpk ozvh.

Decrypted it read:

this is new republic intelligence team on kile ii. verification code 189345. we've encountered something big. large metal detected not far off from the main complex. please send a backup team.

Now all the scientists could do was wait. It was a New Republic rule that nothing seeming potentially dangerous could be excavated without New Republic soldiers.

Almost a week later, the New Republic backup forces arrived. Kile II was full of canyons and evergreen forests. The main facility was made high up in one of the canyons. It's exact location was unknown to anyone other then New Republic agents and pilots.

Lieutenant Prila swiftly walked toward the Director of Scientific Operations on Kile II. The Lieutenant was dressed in a beige suit, the New Republic insigna on the left breast of the jacket. He had a long think grey moustache, and a stern face.

Prila: "Greetings Director Zhan. It is our understanding you need backup to excavate a certain area?"

The Director was surprisingly a Trandoshan. Trandoshans were a reptile race, sometimes known to be agressive. He nodded and explained their story to the Lieutenant. Prila listened and nodded every once in a while to confirm his understanding. The Director finished off by stating it probably wasn't anything big.

Prila: "I will have my men ready by the morning. Until then."

The Director saluted him and showed him to his quarters. Tomorrow could be a big day. But then the Director thought it was probably some smashed up ship that crashlanded. Or maybe it was something else...

The next morning, the soldiers and the team prepared to set off. The scientists had pin pointed the exact location on a map. The Director himself would be going on this excursion.

They all boarded two Lamba class shuttles and set off. In only minutes they would arrive at the exact location. The Director wore casual clothes along with all the other scientists. Kile II was a humid planet. It made humans and aliens alike uncomfortable. The Director turned to his fellow scientist and gave a confident nod. He brushed his head with a handerchief.

Moments later, the two Shuttles landed on the side of a very deep trench. The metal readings were coming from the bottom of the trench. That presented a problem.

Director: "Nothing is ever easy is it?"

The scientist beside him smiled at the comment and shaked his head no. Nothing was ever easy. Lieutenant Prila ordered that the soldiers start unpacking the climbing equipment. They would be going down from here.

Soldier: "Sir, we're picking up static readings from below. It seems there is equipment down there."

The Lieutenant nodded and turned to smile at Zhan. The trip wasn't a complete waste of time. There might be something dating pre-Empire down there. The soldiers gathered all the equipment and started to climb down. Two soldiers and two scientists out of the 30 that had set off stayed above. The others took the climbing gear and climbed down the ledge.

Prila: "Can you see down there?"

Soldier1: "Sir it appears to be some sort of complex. It looks deserted."

Prila: "Scan for any lifeforms."

Soldier1: "Yes sir."

Prila and the others were on a cliff edge, staring down into total darkness. They were only 30 feet from the bottom. Tow soldiers went first to see if it was safe. Prila awaited an answer from the commlink.

Soldier1: "Sir, there seems to be some lifeforms in there. They could be harmless animals. We are going in to check."

Prila: "Acknowledged."

Moments later, everyone was disturbed by a shrill scream coming from the comlink. The scientists jumped. Prila's eyes were wide with terror and anger at the same time. Something was down there, and it was dangerous.

Prila: "We're coming down now!"

Soldier2: "HE-EE----LLL----LL---PPPP!"

Static filled the comm channel. Prila thumbed his comlink off and growled. He picked up his blaster rifle and turned to the others.

Prila: "You scientists can head back up. We're all going down there."

Director: "We are coming too."

Prila: "What the f---?!?!"

Director: "Call it scientific curiousity. Let's go!"

The Lieutenant nodded and told the other soldiers to give them guns. They had to hurry and help their friends.

Upon reaching the bottom, Prila ordered all his men stay alert for anything dangerous. He observed the base for a while. It was wide in length, and medium-sized. It looked old in a way, but no so old. He turned to face the troops and the scientists.

Prila: "Okay everyone listen up. We are all heading in there together. That means no leaving the group or going off on your own."

Everyone nodded and turned to look at the base once again. It sent chills down their spines. Most were wondering what in the worlds happened to their friends.

Prila started for the base, motioning for the others to follow. His blaster rifle was in his hand, along with some explosives and knives at his belt. Prila was a lengthy male about 33 years of age. He was in excellent shape, as were his troops.

Upon reaching the doors, Prila looked for a possible opening. He saw a bunch of burnt out wires on the side. It took one of the scientists moments to jimmy the wires. The door slid open, barely making a sound.

The inside of the base was as bad as the outside. Dark and gloomy. That dreaded sense of danger creeping up on everyone's shoulder. Prila put on his night goggles, as did the others. He began to look around. Something caught Prila's eye. It was a trail of blood, almost invisible. He pointed at it.

Prila: "Let's follow it."

After a few minutes of following the trail, Prila's hand shot out. It indicated that everyone should cease walking forward. Prila leaned down and and looked around. The blood trail stopped here. They were in a dead end. Prila thought for a moment. His thoughts were disrupted by the annoyed Director.

Director: "This is a waste of time! It's probably a prank."

Prila spun around and stood up at full height. He looked down at the smaller Director. His eyes were wide with anger and annoyance.

Prila: "A prank? A PRANK?!?! My men DO NOT play pranks. Something happened to them. I intend to find out what exactly."

Director: "Then my colleagues and I are heading back. Can you send 10 troops with us as an escort?"

Prila: "With pleasure."

Prila didn't know why he said that. He didn't want the group to break up. He guessed the reason was because his annoyance at the impatient Director got to him. Prila assigned ten guards the job, and told the others to wait silently. Something didn't sit right with Prila. He walked around the wall examining it.

Suddenly, his head jerked up at the sound of a metal object bouncing across the floor. A metal object slid right out of the wall. Prila scratched his head, and then replayed the scene in his head. He poked his blaster at the wall. Astonishingly it went through. It was a fake wall to drive unwanted visitors away. Prila poked his head through. He was staring into a large room full of tubes and equipment. He motioned for the shocked troops to follow him. The Lieutenant searched around for a while.

Prila: "This seems to be a cloning facility."

The Lieutenant was met with silence. He spun around and glared, about to shout at the soldiers. Prila fell back and screamed at what he saw. A pile of dead troops lay before him. Others assorted around the room. They were dead also. He grabbed at his rifle and looked around. He could only see giant tubes and darkness.

Prila gagged at the sight of the Director's head a few feet away. For the first time in his life since the Empire, he felt fear. Prila turned around and saw nothing again. He could hear sounds, but he couldn't see the predator. Suddenly, a large shadow loomed behind the Lieutenant. Prila noticed it and turned around. His scream was muffled, as the darkness embraced him.

<font size=4>Chapter 1: The Beginning

<font size=2>I have blocked out the memories of my past. For they are not my past. They are my creator's past. I am not the same as my creator. We may look the same, but that does not make us the same person. I work hard to mold my mind different from that of my creator's mind. He is weaker then I. He does not know what true power means. I know it is time to make my appearance. My name shall one day be heard throughout the galaxy. I will make it so my creator will fear me. If not, I will destroy him.

Dead bodies all around me. I have already feasted on their blood and insides. I haven't had such an exquisite meal in quite a while. Over 30 dead bodies. It was indeed a great present. They proved to be no match for my powers. I swiftly reaped through them like a farmer on Shaum Hii does to his wheat fields. The last one, was rather brave. He tried to struggle. The others just tried to scream. He tasted better then the rest.

The white coats did not attempt to fight back at all. They just shrank into corners and wept. It was sad, and it disgusted me. My dark shadow, looming over them. That is POWER. The ability to control others is power. Fear was a good controller. Fear drives people into exceeding past their limits. Fools fear for their lives. I do not fear for my life. Fear is a weakness.

I chose to kill them the old fashoined way. I ripped out their throats in only minutes. That was, they couldn't scream and attract attention to themselves.

These weapons that they wield. Imperial rifles I believe? Those weapons disgust me. I sometimes use a lightsaber to catch my prey. One I constructed myself before I wiped my mind of my creator's memory. It is dual bladed, and green. Green is a very important color to me. It is the color of my skin. Green to me, means power. I am clothed with green, so I fight with green. It makes sense to me.

Each and every day I think back to the day of my creation. The first day I was brought into the realm of the living. That is a memory I will never forget. It happened 7 months ago this day...

My creator, the one known as Naga, found this abandoned facility almost a year ago. He and his comrades had big plans for this. The ingenous part of the plan was that no one would think to look for them on a New Republic planet. No one would be stupid or brave enough to establish a base on a planet full of enemies. But then again, in my mind, Naga is a rather stupid creature. He is one not fit for the Force.

My creator and those working for him established a small cloning facility in the west wing of the base. I was his first and last creation on Kile II. I remember the first time I opened my eyes like it happened only moments ago.

My eyes flickered open for the first time. They were beginning to adjust to the colors and images that they absorbed. All I could see was the inside of the tank. Everything outside appeared blurry. I was a rather confused creature. That all changed.

Over the next few weeks, Naga's memory was fitted into my head. His thoughts, soon became my thoughts. I knew what he knew. I was even beginning to feel this Force as Naga did. My intelligence grew, and my knowledge of weapons and tactics grew with it. I was soon a formidable warrior. Then I discovered what I was. I was a copy. I kept my knowledge silent for the next few days. Then I overheard Naga preparing for the next clone. This drove me mad. Nothing deserved to feel what I felt. I stole Naga's saber and managed to drive him and some others away. The rest were killed by me.

Over the past few months, I learned to survive in this place. The base had rations that a person could live on for many years. But I am going soon. I have plans for the Galaxy. Soon all will tremble at my name.

First, I must find a Starship and devise a plan. Right now I am searching through known planets. I am searching for the perfect one to begin my assualt on. Hmmmm it seems that none of these planets are to my liking. Then something catches my eye. I scroll back. The word: Bothawui is highlighted before my eyes. Hmmm a planet full of Bothans and spies. This is the planet.

I search around the base for items that may be useful. I am leaving in one day, but first I must take the necessary items. So far I have: rations, lightsaber, blaster rifles, and explosives. I decide to take some electrical equipment with me. Now to find....a ship.

Luckily, an old frieghter was left behind in the base's docking bay. At first it didn't look like it was going to work, but I made it work. I press a few buttons on the control panel and watch the sky hatch open. A bit of sunlight pours in. Sunlight is something I am not accustomed to. I have never seen it. Perhaps on Bothawui I will get used to it.

I fly upwards with incredible speed and into space. Once I clear the planet's orbit, I enter the coordinates into the nav computer. The stars turned into starlines before my eyes. A truly magnificent sight.

I was pretty enraged to find myself pulled out of hyperspace. I knew the ship that did it as an Interdictor. Why was I pulled out of space? Were they expecting me? Or were they waiting for something else. Before I could find the cloaking device activator, the ship spotted me. It turned to face my ship. I had no doubt they were probably readying their tractor beams. I did not know if my captives were New Republic agents, Imperials or Pirates.

The commlink chattered and buzzed. I knew that they were trying to make contact. I opened the comm channel and waited.

"Unidentified ship. This is Interdictor Illusion. Prepare to be boarded."

I did not even care to answer. I just let my ship get caught by their tractor beam. They would soon find out of the mistake they made. I concealed my lightsaber and waited patiently.
