*LV watched Zakath leave her ship... once he was gone, the ship automatically shut the door and began a slow trip to one of the many landing pads Coruscant had to offer*

*she looked down at the data pad and then up at LD*

LV: Well, I suppose we should see about meeting with this Reeouurra about our possible business dealings with the Sector Rangers.

*she looked at LD a moment longer, then back down at the data pad... at that moment, Anbira came walking into the lounge from the personel quarters... he'd been back there meditating or just brooding... LV didn't pry, but merely smiled at him as he walked in*

LV: Ah, Anbira, you're just in time. I was just about to contact Miss Reeouurra.

*she punched in a few keys into the small computer pad built into the table and hooked the data pad to it, letting it take in the map and location... soon the ship had changed course and was zooming in that direction*

*getting up, LV walked over to the comm station and hooked up the data pad there, copying the comm channel to contact Miss Reeouurra*

*with everything set, she looked at LD and Anbira... then she hit the send button and waited to see if Miss Reeouurra would respond*

Jole Zakath
Mar 16th, 2001, 05:51:52 PM
He watched from a dark recess between two buildings as the Sith ship that had dropped him off retracted its ramp and then took off into the night, into the general direction of the location the Sith were to meet with Sasseeri. Jole swore to himself, not having considered the possibility of them trying to find the boss immediately. He needed to contact her and warn her.

Snapping open his comm-link, he hastily set the comm channel for Sasseeri's private one, then hoped she'd be there.

Sasseeri wasn't long in replying. Her voice filtered somewhat drawn and oddly dreamy through the static buzz that prevailed. Jole wondered who it was this time she'd managed to drag off for her evening entertainment.

"Yeees?"

"Uh... boss, this is Zakath. Just warning you - the Sith are on their way. They just dropped me off up on the 27th level, sector 12. I'll be there as soon as I can get a cab."

What he hadn't expected was Sasseeri's next words.

"jI knooow they arrreee comjing. jI am therrreeee alrrready. Just geeeet herrre when youuuuu can."

Oh? How did she know??? Then again, her being in the safe house was an explanation why her voice dragged so much over the comm - the static dampening field inside the house would play havoc on anyone's comm system.

"Okay, boss. See you then."

Jole swallowed his surprise and sprinted off in the direction of the next best palce to find a cab.

Lady DeVille

De'Ville sat carefully, in a chair across from Vader. She could still sense their contact's nervousness in the upholstry, even though he was gone. She raised an eyebrow at Vader, waiting for Reeouurra to respond.

Sasseeri Reeouurra
Mar 16th, 2001, 10:06:21 PM
Sasseeri grimaced as she put her commlink down, then hissed at her comm tech.

"Why jis that statjic stjill jin the ljine? Fjix jit! Now!"

Impatiently, she turned around to stalk away and make another round of the interior of the store room she had chosen for this meeting.

So Zakath had been surprised at her knowledge - he would be even more surprised if he knew that he was carrying a minuscule sound transmitter in the sole of his boot. It paid off to keep her most "trusted" assistant under constant surveillance. She had been able to hear every single word of the conversation between the Sith and him.

Yes, she was well prepared to met these two females.

Behind her, her commlink pinged on the table whre she had left it, and the tech turned frantically around at her, wildly gesticulating with his hands that he needed yet another minute to get the last bugs out of the comm system before the line would be static-free.

Frustrated at her employees' incompetence, she walked back, snarled at him in a way that made his fingers fly over the communications board in front of him, and the pinging sound went on.

Finally, the tech gave a huge sigh, turned around, and nodded at her. Over a minute had passed - she would have to have words with Zakath later about employing such sloppy people.

For now, however, she brought up the commlink to her mouth, and thumbed the activation switch at the side.

A low feedback buzz rang through the entire hall, and the tech once hit a switch on his board with trembling fingers. The buzz faded, to be replaced by a sonorous female voice, almost a purr.

"Miss Reeouurra?"

*LV looked at her comm, sifting through the static that was appearing through the channel she had been given... she tried several frequencies running along the channel, but all remained full of static... narrowing her eyes, she began to drum her claws against the console... normally, she wouldn't have been so impatient, but she had expected a better receptive frequency from the Sector Rangers*

*she leaned away from the comm for a moment to study where it was the ship was heading... some remote area... specific location appeared to be a building of some sort... she punch a few keys, bringing up a readout of the area and the safe house itself... general information classified it as a store house on the outskirts of the main city... a good place to meet that wouldn't attract unwanted attention*

*she swiveled again to face the comm, watching the static begin to shift slightly and smooth out... a moment later it completely stopped... speaking into the comm, she addressed the only other person that would have such a high security frequency*

LV: Miss Reeouurra? This is Lady Vader of The Sith Order. I am but a few moments from the location you chose. I look forward to our meeting.

*she fell silent, waiting to see if there would be any response from the other end*

Anbira Hicchoru
Mar 19th, 2001, 07:14:25 PM
:: Anbira simply scowled at the static. He didn't particuarly enjoy coming along on this mission. Pandering to merchants wasn't something that Anbira approved of in the slightest, as they simply supported the side that paid the best. However, the Council had decided that it was in the Order's best interests to seek such an alliance with the Sector Rangers. They further requested Anbira's presence on the mission, although he was perplexed as to why. Certainly not for any negotiation skills. Negotiation was an art that Anbira had not quite had the time to learn. If not that, then what? It annoyed Anbira...and now he simply waited, hoping this little meeting would be short. ::

The static faded away as Vader spoke into the comm, and De'Ville drummed her fingertips on the table. It was taking too long for an answer to come. She reached out with the Force and poured herself a small glass of chilled wine.

Sasseeri Reeouurra

Sasseeri smiled to herself, as she watched the blip that had to be the Sith's ship appear on the detection grid. She'd have to remember to express her thanks to Grenar for sending her the newest little gadget - thanks to that, they had been able to trace the ship's transponder through the comm connection.

Time to reply.

"Lady Vaderrr? Yes, jI am herrre wajitjing forrr yourrr arrrrrjival. jI can assurrre you that jI am lookjing forrrwarrrd wjith grrreat antjicjipatjion to ourrr meetjing. Everrrythjing jis rrready forrr yourrr arrrrjival - just follow the beacon sjignal that we arrre sendjing you now."

She gave the tech a sign, and he flipped a switch that would activate the signal.

"jI shall see you shorrrtly."

Jole Zakath

"Hey, you know, I dunno where you learned to fly, but I'm sure they must have taught you some kriffing shortcuts around this place, no? Look, I really need to meet my boss in a hurry, and she's extremely unpleasant when people are late, and--"

The cab suddenly veered off-route and un-gently plopped down on one of the landing pads. The cab pilot turned around so he could see his face, and suddenly the commlink between cabin and cockpit came alive with a wild roaring noise.

"YOU KNOW WHAT, YOU S*****? I DON'T GIVE A FLYING DREK ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL DAMN PROBLEMS - GET OUT OF MY CAB!"

Whoa - maybe that wasn't such a good idea.

Jole had finally, after standing for almost 5 minutes in a queue, manage to catch a cab that took him out of the 27th level, but 2 minutes into the ride, when they had been stopped by another CATC vehicle to let another stupid broken down transport pass, Jole's patience had grown thin.

Well, how was he to know that this particular cabbie was the one in a million on this whole @#%$ planet who would insist on sticking to the damn traffic rules??!!?

No time to get upset about it. Jole jumped out, slammed the door back down, and ran off before the damn guy could charge him for the two minutes dawdling through the city. he got his bearings soon enough, and felt greatly relieved to see that he was only a few blocks up from where the store house was.

Once again, he broke out in a sprint.

*LV looked at her controls varifying the signal beacon... she set the ship to follow it's transponder signal... she had no doubt the ship was already being tracked... after all, they were dealing with a sort that were suspiscious of everything and everyone, no matter what the circumstance*

LV: I will see you shortly then, Miss Reeouurra. Lady Vader out.

*she cut the transmission and stood, walking to the cockpit... she sensed LD come up behind her and take the copilots seat... but Anbira stayed behind in the main hold... she frowned... she knew he wasn't happy to be here, but he had come at the request of the Council... in a way it upset her, but at the moment, she could not do anything about his mood... she shook her head, shoving those thoughts aside, and prepared to land the ship*

*the ship touched down lightly outside of the meeting place... from the veiw port, she saw two people approaching the now landed ship... no doubt Miss Reeouurra's men*

*she looked to LD and nodded her head, indicating they should disembark*

*with that, she led the way to the main door and opened it... the ramp loweres and she, followed by LD and Anbira exited the ship, stopping at the edge of the ramp, waiting for their escort to close the gap between them*

Lady DeVille

De'Ville exited the ship with the others. She was a little uneasy at this meeting, and wished that she could get inside the building to check it out before they would all be trapped in there. Unfortunetly they would have to trust the felinoid female Reeouurra and her minions in the Sector Rangers.

And De'Ville didn't trust easily.

Lady Vader

*LV stood there, flanked by LD and Anbira, as the escort arrived*

*once they were in ear shot, she called out*

I am Lady Vader, Sith Mistress and Elder of The Sith Order.

*she gestured towards LD*

This is Lady De'Ville, Sith Knight and Member also of The Sith Order.

*then she gestured towards Anbira*

And this is Anbira Hicchoru, Sith Master and Elder at both The Sith Order and The Sith Empire.

*once the introductions had been made, she gave the escort her full attention*

I would like to proceed with the meeting with Miss Reeouurra as soon as is convenient.

*the escorts leader bowed towards her and gestured with his hand to a small building*

Escort leader: Miss Reeouurra is honored by your visit and will be happy to begin the meeting. If you will follow me?

*he began leading the way, and LV, LD and Anbira came into step behind him, with the rest of the escort following*

*once LV had left the near premesis of her ship, it locked down tight, it's security system and shock shield falling into place*

*the small group made their way to the small buidling on the side of the mountain*

She watched the three Sith leave their ship, as she stood behind the security guy she'd employed. When they were almost at the gate, she left the small camouflaged shack they had stored all the observation equipment in, sealed it behind her and walked forth into the empty hangar where only a few crates and boxes stood neatly stacked away against the walls.

The center of the hall was dominated by a large table with an assortment of little snacks her people had advised her would be appetizing to these Sith; mainly exotic fruits and meats. She was prepared to be nothing but hospitable, even if she felt anything but that.

To be frank, she had to admit to herself that Sith made her uneasy what with all that superstititous hocus-pocus.

So she stood there leaning on one of the chairs, when the gate slowly began to open and admitted the three Sith and the reception group she'd picked.

Sasseeri opened her arms in a gesture of welcome, and addressed them as they stepped into the light.

"Welcome to thjis most humble of places. jIt mjight be humble, but jit jis safe for just such purrrposes. Wjill you take a seat?"

Lady Vader

*LV watched as the gate opened wide, letting them step forth inside of the building... it took her all of a quick glance to capture in the interior... she used the Force to make sure all was safe, and for the most part, it was*

*continuing to walk, she came to a hault next to the humble table with refreshments atop it... LD and Anbira came and stood next to their respective chairs*

*LV smiled at Sasseeri, nodding her head*

Thank you for the welcome, Miss Reeouurra. This is indeed quite hospitable of you.

*LV continued to smile as she sat herself down at the table with the others... she didn't want to rush the negotiations, so she let Sasseeri set the pace as to how these talks would proceed*

She sat down herself on the one remaining chair facing all three of them. In all kinds of business meetings, it was most important to appear trustworthy, and open.

She hoped that trustworthiness and openeness were a part of a Sith's vocabulary, at least.

Not believeing in wasting too many words, she got straight to the point - mainly, that she had no idea what they wished from her.

"Please, jI can assurrre you that thjis bujildjing jis absolutely securrre. We can therrreforrre talk about whateverrr you had jin mjind forrr thjis meetjing. What jis jit you wjish to gajin frrrom an alljiance between my people and yourrrs? We arrre not exactly jirrrrreplaceable to you - so what jis jit you want frrrom us?"

ooc: LV, I was still an Elder when we started this /ic:

De'Ville sat down carefully, scanning the room with her eyes before settling on the Cizerak female who sat with them. She was blonde, feline, and dangerous. Brings new meaning to the phrase "drop dead gorgeous." Her accent was intriguing, and her sense was a little nervous.

Better not to get this one too unsettled. The results could be disastrous.

OOC: LD, I know that, silly :p

btw, I'm thinking of my next post in here, but right now, I've got a dozen papers to write and finals to worry about... I haven't forgotten about this thread, but I may not be able to do much with it for a bit... just hang in there :)

*she eyed Sasseerri, still keeping her face pleasant*

I called this meeting because I wished to possibly formalize a sort of trade agreement or treaty with the Sector Rangers. I spoke to one of your employees, telling him I'd think this would be benificial to both our groups.

Sasseeri Reeouurra

A smile played on her lips at the Sith's words.

"Yes, so jI had hearrrd frrrom my assjistant. What kind of a trrreaty did you have jin mjind? Majinly trrrade? Weapons, shjips, food... the usual necessjitjies?"

Lady Vader

*LV was silent for a moment, considering the various treaties she could bargain for... she decided on starting with something simple, and seeing how the bond between the Sector Rangers and TSO played out before going on to anything more intriquet*

*she nodded her head to the feline woman*

Yes. Why don't we begin with something simple. A trade treaty would certainly be acceptable and beneficial.

If we see that both our respective groups do well together in this alliance, then we could always upgrade the contract.

Is this acceptable to you as well?
