Rapture: Snakebite

OOC: Taking place before Breathe Again.

Master and Apprentice appeared into the deep radiating heat. Soon, soon Vega would fight his rival here. But not today. Today he was here with Sieken Kasstra, one of his sociable apprentices whom he had consorted with to plan a little venture out into the deserts and caverns of Tatooine. What was their purpose here? A quest, of sorts.

Pulling a datapad from his pocket, Vega peered down at it as the light glinted against the viewscreen.

“Tatooine is also home to the terrifying krayt dragon, possibly feared more than any other animal in the sector. Though it is considered a suicidal venture, some hunt the krayt dragon to obtain its legendary, priceless gizzard stones, known as ‘dragon pearls’…” it read, the tiny green letters flashing across the screen over and over again.

Vegas trench coat whipped against the back of his legs violently as a sudden hot wind passed by.

The caves should be somewhere around here… he murmured, turning on his heel to scan the area for any force signatures or life signs, Sieken, scout out to the east on a speeder, I’ll check the west.

Tossing a small comm. Link hand piece to Sieken, Vega nodded.

Inform me if you find the cave before I do, alright?

Sieken nodded to vega, giving him a quick glint of a smile.
this was Siekens first venture into the sand for a long time, Tatooine was his home for many years, the memories of his child hood slashed his mind like a blade...

Sieken never understood how he was born on earth, but brought to his uncle here, a "Shining Exsample" his uncle always said, heh, his ememys certainly dont see that, the small huts plauged the ground of Tatooine, the small huts and the large Dojo was Siekens life as a small boy,raised to be a bounty hunter and avenge his family's killers was a thing Sieken vowed to acomplish sometime in his life...

But not know his mission was this, a risky one...one to proove to vega he is worthy to be with him and tought by him, something he had to do..so many goals so many missions...sieken was ready...

:: Sieken stepped down the sand dunes in big steps towards to the speeder the, it was a strange feeling to feel the sand again..he smiled slightly jumping into the speeder starting it up and speding away into a small claod of sand::

Mounting the other speed, Vega reved it's engines for a moment, putting the comm. link headset on. With one final rev of the engine the burners flared as he shot off in the opposite direction to Sieken.

This indeed would bring Vegas opinion of Sieken up. The killing of a krayt dragon, no matter what its age, was a formidable task. It would reap more than simply changing Vegas thoughts on the boy - it would also give the two Sith a small amount of the precious and valuable dragon pearls.

No sign of anything yet said Vega into the link, speeding across the baren desert, no visible caverns or outcrops appearing in his line of vision.

:: Sieken heard the comm talking down the but only just heard it due to the wind and sand blowing about, sieken took his eyes of the horizen for a seconde to put on his goggles to shield his eyes, but as his did this, he somhow smashed through, a thin rock wall into a cavern dropping down into a small room, witch had been blocked of for years in darkness, the speeder crashed to the stone floor and the place went...the rocks filled the gap he crashed through and siek was out cold::

A loud crackle was heard through the ear piece and Vega skidded the speeder to a halt.

Sieken?...Sieken respond. Sieken! he rasped into the mic, thrusting the speeder engine onto full power causing sand to kick into the air as the machine spun around.

A disgruntled look upon his face, Vega felt somewhat thankful that they had not been travelling for long otherwise he might not have been able to find Sieken.

But he did.

His speeder jerked to a halt at the smashed up entrance into what seemed like a chasm or pit.

Sieken! he yelled, jumping off his transport to jog over to the hole. He waited a few seconds for a response before leaning into the opening a bit further to look down at the fallen debri. In the mist of the rubble Vega spotted a mangled speeder.

Frell.

Summoning through the darkside enough Force strength he began to lift the rocks out of the hole at a fast a speed as he could, eventually catching sight of Sieken after a few moments.

SIEKEN! he roared, sending one of the larger boulder crashing into the caves side, smashing it into pebbles.

::Sieken was out, blood trickeld down his cheek, dripping off into a small pool of blood in his lap,the caven was cramped, to the right of sieken was a small hole that possibly led under water and into a large under water lake and out the otherside but it was there, the lush lightblue water was the only way out of the cavern but the top entrance he just crashed through sieken felt he had failed already...

The crys from vega ecoed into the cavern as the reflection from the small pool of water showed into the small cavern, the dripping sounds made the whole place a nautral torture..but the hold filled with water was the only way on..sieken looked up to vega with a smile...

" Im ok vega....i think i found our cave"

The air shot upwards sending his trench into a sharp flutter as he leapt down into the inards of the cave, landing with a clatter at the outrim of the pile of rocks.

Apparently so. But at the price of becoming injured and loosing a speeder he murmured, reaching out a gloved hand to pull Sieken up.

The Disciple stood up with coy smile on his face, looking over to see that Vega had already begun to inspect the various niches of the cave.

It's land reptile as far as I know. So it's not going to be in here he mumbled, gesturing to the small hole in the wall which gave way of view of an area of water. Turning around he scanned the area, pacing about a bit.

It'll not be in a small area.. since it's going to be a sizeable height... possibly 5 or 6 foot tall.

To the left was what appeared to be a tunnel, leading further - hopefully - into the cave. Yes, that was the way they'd go. Vega was sure he could feel something that way, a life signature of some sort.

This way Sieken he said, starting to walk.

::T two men walked down the narrow passage,in some places the cavens winded on themselfs, sometimes right back then onwards, the strage musty smell of the caves filled there notrils, suddenly the narrow tunnel came to a sheer drop into a underground lake, the lake was about 100-150 feet deep and the drop to the lake was about 20-30ft, the light blue water was shimmering into the massive, even Gigantic cavern, the lake was about 20ft long and was in a circuler shape..

" Vega..this is the only way...what do you pupose we do?"

:: Sieken looked into the lake, and saw a shimmer in there...like a a fish of somesort...but the object must of been 20ft long in lengh..the water makes it look msaller when you look down at it..almost like a fish tank....::

"What in the hell is that" said vega...

Yanking Siekens wrist to pull him away from the waters edge, Vega moved back away from the drop into the lagoon like area, his eyes quickly scanning around the room.

This is obviously not th-..

Locking in on a ledge just above the two Sith, the Knight edged back a few paces before launching himself up onto the out crop.

Sieken! Up here, there's a thin ledge path leading up to some sort of opening, I can sense something up there! he called down, waiting for Sieken to join him.

:: Sieken saw the fish like creature shimmering in the water..and the ledge that he had to jump to..::

" umm master i dont think..."
" Do it Siek..." vega shouted
" al right all right" said siek in a surrendering fassion

Sieken Jumped over the lagoon and slipped loseing grip but still ahnd one hand left on the plateue, sieken pulled himself up useing the force and clamberd up onto the ledge, he looked at vega and rolled his eyes

" Next time remind me to bring a grapling hook will ya please" he said with a smile

" After you sir, he gestured to the small crawlable operning"

It was just large enough to enter, giving that you were able to shift the rather large boulders shrouding the entrance. But, as expected, the two Sith entered easily.

They emerged on the other side of the small opening into an enclosed area. The ceiling must have been over 50 foot tall, and the area itself at least that size. All over the wall their were what appeared to be splattered markings of some substance, a crimson coloured liquid perhaps. To add to this, their were also the tangled frames of skeletons heaped in the far corner.

It was, infact, a dark area. Hardly any light escaped from the lagoon area up into this attic like feature of the underground tunnel system, leaving the upper area of the incut pit in a mirky shadow.

A rustling and crackling could be heard for a moment as some debri clattered down to land beside Vega and Siekens feet.

What do you suppose is up there, Sieken? Vega said in a hushed voice.

" Well this looks like a dead end sir...litrally...im err gona go" he said this and began to crawl back through when Vega grabbed his coller

" Alright alright" he said stading back up

Sieken smiled, but that soon faded as a tired out man crawld round the corner half dead, his body torn to shreads he saber would not ignite..sieken went to help the man but once again vega grabbed his coller

the room turned black..pitch black as the wings of the dragon spread out over the top of them sieken gasped, and looked to vega....the room turned to dimness again as the dragon hit the floor hard making both men stumble down..but the wonded man dident..the dragon and the man looked at eatother...just then thedragon opend its mouth taking the man in alive and swallowing him whole...

" oh....sh@+ sieken said..."

The krayt dragon fell down to land on all fours with an almight thud, it's 5 foot tail swaying violently from side to side as it looked towards Sieken and Vega. It must have been 5 food or so tall, and at least 10 foot long. Obviously a baby.

It flicked its tongue out, it's huge jaws widening as it let out a throaty roar - its horned head leaning back some as it sniffed at the air. Dinner.

Here it is, Sieken. The krayt dragon we have been looking for. Now, now you shall defeat it said Vega in a stoney tone, taking a step or so back to block the exit hole, at the same time igniting Seraphim swiftly.

The dragon thumped at sieken, he heavy feets slamming on the ground.., sieken dived rightmaking the dragon hit head head on the wall, the dragon fell down hurt, then got upshaking his head free of the dizzeyness, his roar filled the room::

" Vega dont just stand....." WHAM!!!!, the dragon plumited his tail into siekens ribs,smaching him into a wall

:: Seiken ignited his saber on the floorandstood back up clutching his ribs,sieken jumpedover the tailswiped athislegsthenducked the one aimed at his head,siekein swiped at the dragons chestcutting deep marks in it::

The Knight moved to lean back against the wall of the cavern, observing with a keen eye the Disciples techniques in fighting the dragon. It may not have been a Jedi, but it would proove and excellent opponent. Suddenly, in a fit of rage it lurched forward towards Sieken, bearing its humungous fangs.
