Old Friends (Closed RP)

[Nichos Marr]

Nichos Marr, Jedi padawan was quietly enjoying a drink by himself in Master Yoghurt's Bar and Grill. It was a typical day in the bar. Jedi on the rafters, Sith sitting in the remote corners. Everything seemed to be peaceful except for a few aliens that had gotten into a scrap. Nichos knew it wouldn't be long until they were nailed to the rafters.

He was drinking a glass of Alderaan Ale. It was a somewhat popular drink. He had grown accustomed to it. Nichos wasn't one to drink boose and get smashed. He did make an acception once in a while.

His eyes absorbed everything around him. The bright colors, the new and old faces. A distorted Rodian heading straight for him. A pair of---Nichos' head jerked back to the Rodian half across the bar, wading his way through people. He was indeed heading straight for Nichos.

The Jedi could feel the despair and sadness coming from the individual. This was not always a good mix. He gripped his lightsaber under the table. Just in case. The Rodian approached and nodded slowly. He began to speak in a language that Nichos knew very well.

Rodian: "Wa tetu dat oota Nichos."

Nichos: "Ta ceko ira nsha."

Nichos smiled and let out a sigh of relief. It was his old friend Cheebu. Cheebu's brother, Heedon was Nichos' best friend back on Rodia. They had grown up together. The Jedi wondered why he was in despair.

Nichos: "Fnrt pwusko vtulla pa te."

Then Cheebu began to speak in Basic.

Cheebu: "I am the bearer of bad tidings. I finally managed to track you down to this place. Heedon has mysteriously disappeared."

Nichos: "Mysteriously disappeared? When? How?"

Cheebu: "About two weeks ago. We think it could have been an abduction."

Nichos: "But Heedon ain't no kid. Can't he take care of himself?"

Cheebu: "If we only knew..."

Nichos: "This is bad news. You came all this way to tell me that though?"

Cheebu: "I need your help."

[Nichos Marr]

Nichos: "You know I'd be more then happy to help you. But how?"

Cheebu: "I need you to find my brother. If there is anyone who could do it, it's you. You are the only person I trust besides my mentors."

Nichos: "I don't know if I can...."

Nichos' voice trailed off. He remembered one time when Heedon had saved him from a fight with two evil looking thugs. The Rodian had taken the blame and the beating for him.

Nichos was a Jedi. It was his duty to protect and save others. Heedon was his friend. Nichos had an obligation, a big one. He looked at Cheebu and nodded.

Nichos: "I will find your brother. Let's get you to a med-bay for now...I see you have some bruises and scrapes.

Nichos' Room

Nichos sat on his bed. He was contemplating on just how he'd find Heedon. He knew he had to start at Rodia, but that's it. The Jedi knew he would have to rely on the Force and friends for this one.

[ReaperFett]

:: Nichos' door is knocked, and Fett walks into the room

"Nichos?" He asks
"Yes?"
"I've just been to the med bay. There is a Rodian down there, yet he hasnt been officially signed in. When we spoke to him, he mentioned you. Care to explain?"

Nichos indicates for Fett to take a seat, and explains the whole story. At the end, Fett leans back, and looks up at the ceiling.

"So, what are you going to do?" The Jedi Matser asked
"Go find him, only thing I can do" Came the reply

The two sit in silence for a short time, until Fett speaks up

"Want me to come?"::

[Nichos Marr]

Nichos looks down. He did not want to bring Fett into this. Then again, ReaperFett was a Jedi Master. Nichos looks up and sighs.

"I need you to come. We will be leaving in twenty hours," Nichos tells Fett.

"Okay, I will be ready," Fett replies.

After ReaperFett leaves the room, Nichos becomes silent again. He had invited his sister Leeloo to visit him. He was going to tell her why he was leaving.

"She should be here any minute," he thought to himself.

[Leeloo Mina]

She walked down the halls to Nichos' room and knocked on the door. He opened it and she steped inside.

"Ok, I'm here.. what did you want? Do ya want me to pick on my little brother?"

Leeloo grined and waited for his reply

[Nichos Marr]

A smile appeared on Nichos' gloomy face. He sat on a chair and told her like Fett the whole story.

Nichos: "And now, I must go and find him. Master Fett is coming with me."

He stood up and began to pack again.

Nichos: "I wanted to tell you that because you'd probably be wondering where I was. So I'll see you around Leeloo."

[Leeloo Mina]

Leeloo looked at him and shook her head.

"No, I'm coming with you. No way I'm letting you go by your self.. even with Fett."

[Nichos Marr]

Nichos didn't want to bring his own sister into this. Something inside told him that he would need her help. He sighed and gave in. Nichos put a hand in the air and dismissed his thoughts.

Nichos: "We leave in 19 hours. I'll meet you by your ship in the Docking Bay."

Leeloo nodded and with that she left. Nichos sighed and slumped to his knees. He shoved some Jedi robes into his backpack.

The Jedi walked over to the mirror and picked up his lightsaber. He clipped it to his belt. Along with that, he put his blaster back in it's holster. The Jedi padawan concealed a dagger in his boot. He had a few more items that he packed. They could come in handy. Then he ran off to check on Cheebu.

[Nichos Marr]

Nichos quickly arrived at the Medical Bay. He had put on another robe to conceal his weapons. If the other Jedi saw them, they would begin to probe him with questions and such.

When he entered room 41, he saw Cheebu lying down on the bed, watching the holonet. Cheebu looked up at Nichos and turned the Holonet off. The Rodian tried to sit up, but to no avail. Cheebu just gave up after a while.

Cheebu: "Wa tetu dat oota."

Nichos smiled for a second and nodded. He sat in a chair and put his head down for a moment. Then he raised it at the sound of Cheebu's voice.

Cheebu: "Wknuto."

Nichos: "For what?"

Cheebu: "For helping my family."

Nichos: "It's the least I can do for an old friend."

[Nichos Marr]

Nichos had his head bowed in silence once again. His hands were in his hair. He usually leaned on his hands when he tried to think. Questions without answers arose in his head. What if he couldn't help his friend? What if it was too late? He had never experienced such tension or stress.

One thing he had learned from Master Warren was that fear was the path to the Darkside. He shook the thoughts out of his head. He brought his attention back to Cheebu. The Rodian lay peacefully. His eyes were open. Nichos guessed he was thinking to himself too.

His attention was diverted by a doctor who entered the room. His white lab coat had recent bloodstains on it. The doctor saw Nichos and smiled. He walked over to the bed and started to check Cheebu's life support monitor.

Doctor: "You got pretty roughed up son. Mind telling me how?"

Cheebu: "Crash landing on the planet. I came out of hyperspace a little late."

Doctor: "You seem to be doing fine for now. You're lucky that you're alive."

Cheebu: "My head hurts. Do you have pain suppresants?"

Doctor: "Your head? Hmm...we'll have ot examine it and make sure you took no damage."

Nichos gulped. If Cheebu had brain damage, there was a good chance he would die. This couldn't happen. He turned to the doctor and whispered.

Nichos: "Please help my friend."

[Leeloo Mina]

Leeloo walked from the jedi quarters and opened the ramp on her ship. She steped inside and wispered to herself.

"Twenty hours.. "

As she walked into the control room she decided to run a system check before leaving.

While the computer ran she went to the living part of the ship to make sure she had brought everything; though she didnt expect to be leaving-- she was going to spend a few days here at GJO with her friends.

"Oh well, I can spend time with them later.. now.. to find something to do till we leave"

[Nichos Marr]

Nichos silently waited outside the X-Ray room. Cheebu's head was being scanned for damage. The tension was really getting to the Padawan. He tried a few calming techniques, but his mind was too preoccupied to concentrate. His head jerked upwards at the sound of the sliding door.

Doctor: "Son, I have some bad news."

Nichos' mind feared the worst. He could feel the cold, despair of the Dark Side creeping up. It was trying to seduce him in his moment of suspense.

Doctor: "Your friend has a brain tumor. I'd give him a few more months, and he'll be dead."

Nichos: "D-Does he know?"

Doctor: "Yes."

Nichos buried his face in his hands. He could feel the Dark Side more powerful then ever now. It was preying on his anguish and suffering. "No! I have to be strong," Nichos said to himself. He ignored the Dark thoughts and rose. He was going to talk to Cheebu.

[Nichos Marr]

Nichos entered the room and stared at his friend on the bed. He took a seat beside him, studying the room around him. From Nichos' point of view, the room looked lifeless. The walls were white and most of the equipment was black. Everything seemed so bleak in the eyes of Nichos Marr.

Cheebu: "The doctor told you?"

Nichos: "Ye-yeah.."

Cheebu: "I suppose I only have a short time to live."

Nichos: "Two hours."

Cheebu: "I'm gonna miss you Nichos, I'm gonna miss everything."

Nichos bowed his head, holding the tears back. He used the Force to keep his emotions in check. When he raised his face, it was emotionless but not cold. He extended his hand and gave his friend a last handshake. Nichos would spend the remaining two hours with Cheebu and then leave for the Docking Bay.

[Leeloo Mina]

Leeloo steped outside her ship. She could go hang out at Yog's for a while-- or in the Living Quarters.

Yeah. The Living Quarters.. She headed in that direction, surely some of her friends were in their rooms; maybe dragon was still trying to knock down Kat'a bedroom.. heh. She smiled at the thought.

It wasnt long at all before she felt the familliar soft carpet of the LQ beneth her feet and the doors all lined up along the walls-- A little like cells, only not so dark she thought to herself.

She walked over to Kat's room and knocked on the door. She had a bit of time to spend a little while with Kat, Mikey, dragon..maybe.

Then she'd head to Yogs and get something to eat.

[Leeloo Mina]

After talking with Kat for a while Leeloo left her room. Yep, Dragon still had his little crush on her. Poor Kat.

Not that Dragon was that bad of a person just to someone not as insane as herself he COULD get annoying. She was on her way to the B&G.

Once she got there she ordered a drink and sat at a table waiting untill one of her friends appeared--

It had been a while since she had been to GJO. After joining NJC she didnt come here much. The padawan had really thought about coming back.

NJC just wasnt what it was cracked up to be.. and after that jedi was let in... She shuddered at the thought. Thats when her hopes had been crushed.

After waiting for sometime she got up and left. Not very many of her friends were in the bar. Maybe the real reason she had came back wasnt to see her friends.. it was to re-join.

Thats what she in her heart felt was right. re-joing the order. But, whould they let her back in? Why should they? She HAD to try.

She sat her glass down and quickly got up, the drink almost spilling. Leeloo was out of the bar in a hurry. She had to do this now while she still had the guts.. did she have time before they were due to leave?

Yeah-- she was sure she'd only spent a few mins with Kat and what? and hour in the B&G

About 20 hours.. that was long enough. She was being asked tons of questions for why she wanted to re-join.

Gah. It seemed like an interrogation-- not that she thought they didn't have a right to do this after all SHE had left, not them.

She tried to answer all of their questions almost thinking it might be better to give up on being a jedi.. she had survived before; right? But, she didn't lose all hope.

In the end, they let her back. She was once again part of GJO. Would everyone already know or should she tell them? Didn't matter she thought.

Leeloo went back to her ship and found the systems to be running fine..damn and still 1 more hour-- what was she going to do in that time?

[Nichos Marr]

Blocking his emotions with the Force, Nichos exited the Med Bay. He glanced back once more at his friend and left with his head bowed.

Nichos knew it was near time for departure. He walked back to his room and collected his things. Nichos put them all in a sack and slung them over his shoulder. He clipped his father's special saber at his side and exited his room, closing the door behind him.

Upon reaching the Docking Bay, Nichos waited for Fett and Leeloo to arrive. In the meantime, he made sure he had packed the right things. This was going to be an adventure, or it could be his demise. Time would tell.
