View Full Version : A challenge to a jedi...

Mark Fenix
Feb 22nd, 2001, 10:40:05 PM
The milieu: The rooftop of a massive skyscraper on Coruscant around sunset.

The challenge: any Jedi willing to challenge a Sith Disciple of TSE, prefferably a Padawan to be fair...

The order of the day: Chaos!

Mark Fenix sat on the edge of an enormous building, glancing at the setting sun over the skyline of the massive city-planet Coruscant. The building was mostly destroyed from the Emperor Palpatine's riegn, but the structure still stood strong. He closed his eyes and reached out with the force, calling to anyone willing to challenge him...

Satine seems to appear out of nowhere, his sabre already lit.

"You rang?"

OOC - A little advice Satine, I'm not sure whether this is the case with the Jedi.. but at TSE.. a Sith may only partake in one or two fights/rps at the same time... This also helps the fighters reply quicker, just thought I'd mention that..

The wind blew hard on the rooftop of this stone super-structure, tossing Mark's black hair in his face. He brushed it behind his ear and turned to face his challenger.

"You're from a species I've never seen..." Mark said to him while drawing his saber from his robes. "I'd like it if you could tell me if your kind has any special benefits or abilities that could outdo us humans."

Although the building was almost 30 meters all around, Satine stood in the middle, Mark on the far east side. The wind was blowing in hard from the east, and he took the time to figure out the angles. The wind caught hold of his robes and started to blow him forward. In that precise moment he leaped a few feet into the air shooting straight at his opponent thanks to the wind and the Force. He flung his robes aside and ignited his saber in a split second, but the Jedi already had his saber up. He blocked Mark's incoming saber, but was knocked over by his extreme momentum.
Mark put his hands down and handsprung back onto the floor and turned to face his challenger. He lunged at him yet again with an overhead blow, but Satine was swift like Mark was. He picked up his saber arm from the ground and blocked the incoming emerald lightsaber.

"This could turn out to be interesting after all."

"Indeed. As for my species," Satine says as he pushes his sabre against the Sith's, "I don't even know my species. All I know is I apparently have slightly more of an ego than humans."

Satine sweeps Mark's legs out from under him, and then backs up slightly to give Mark a chance to get back up.

Mark rolled onto his shoulder blades and kicked his feet forward. He landed in a ready position and held his lightsaber upside-down. He brought his arm back before lunging it at Satine, flipping his saber back around through his fingers to have the two blades clash against each other again, this time with more force than before. The sound carried across the rooftop, the crackling was more irritating than scraping a chalkboard.

Mark flicked his wrist around, letting his lightsaber pass by the opposing blade. The Jedi "Alpha" managed to flip his saber over to his right side to deflect it, then tossed Mark's saber aside. He stepped back, but Fenix continued to pound away ferociously at him with the blade, striking high, low, and any other angles he could get in. Satine casually blocked all of them, and made his first attack. He tried to trike overhead, but Mark caught his saber against his own and drove it into the rooftop. He then quicly raised his saber and slammed Satine in the forehead with the bottom of his lightsaber.

He kicked Satine's saber out of his hand and disengaged his own, following with a flying spin kick to Satine's face. He followed with a backflipping scissor kick, both leaving their Mark on the bottom of his jaw. He started to exchange punches and kicks with the Jedi until a roundhouse to Satine's chest sent him flying to the ground.

OOC: Satine, I am not going to fight you unless you can respond quickly enough. Maybe you shouldn't have responded so quickly to my challenge. Either you surrender in your next post, leaving the victory to me, or you respond more frequently.

{OOC:Sorry bout that, my parents kicked me off...And besides, I can't be on all day! Remember this is a 13 year old you're talkin to!}

Satine jumps back to his feet, and lunges at Mark, getting kicked in the ribs, but he still manages to get MArk with a double kick to the jaw, knocking him backwards.

OOC: Chill, you're not the only 13-year-old! Also, it'd be a great help if you could give me your IM or email.

Mark's jaw stung. He was little, but the kid could kick hard. However, not hard enough. He took advantage of Alpha's already injured ribs by charging at him, uppercutting him in the ribs, left punching his right side, right punching his left side. He continued to pound away, this time using his legs, guiding them with the Force, making them more powerful. Satine started to cough blood, he turned around and took a few steps away from Mark.

"Heh, pathetic," he said as he dove towards him, lunging past him and shifting his momentum with the Force. His foot smashed into his face with increased momentum through the Force. Satine fell backwards, gripping his nose.

"I've heard a little about you. Rumors, of course, but I want to know if they are true. Can you really control plasma? Well, nothing is stopping you from using it, I can play with energy, too. Of course, my ring has been weakened over the years and will not be as effective against you than at full power, but I can take you."

Seeing that the Jedi must be almost unconscious, he grabbed Satine by the collar and lifted him with the Force.

"You are no Jedi. You are weak, and need the training that only the Dark Side can give you!" he called as he flung his lifeless body across the rooftop. He hit the floor and bounced, upon hitting the ground he started rolling. Mark walked over to him. "Surrender to me and join the Dark Side, you are but a Rogue Jedi, not accepted anywhere else, lacking the strength in combat. Let it give you the power. I have been trained well by Summoner in the Dark Side, and I am but a mere disciple. Give in to your anger!" He began to kick the barely-conscious Jedi in the sides. "You know you hate me. Why don't you use that hate to a good use?"

"Oh, come on. You have to get up sometime. I won't wait for you, Alpha. I'll continue to beat you to a pulp until you do something, then I'll beat you to a pulp but with honor. I hate this kind of fighting, it has no honor."

Mark again lifted him into the air with the force, trying to stand him up. He released the weightless feeling and Alpha tumbled back down.

"It hurts, doesn't it? Being beaten to death and not being able to do a damn thing? We Sith can use the pain for our power, that's what makes us so much stronger than you Jedi. We thrive off of hate and destruction. You'd be an exceptionally powerful Sith, with your training in the Light Side as well. Well, I guess I shouldn't bother to turn you, you're probably too stubborn of a Jedi. Although you don't act like any Jedi I've seen or heard of. You're brash, arrogant, never has his mind where he is, or what he's doing. You challenge people too often to be a "peace keeper", and you seem to wander from allying with the Sith and the Jedi. You don't fit anywhere but in between.

"Do you want to see my true power, Jedi? The power of a fledgeling Sith, combined with the powers of a well experienced Green Lantern?" His fighting gi he wore under his robes seemed to melt into a new outfit almost instantly, in a swift green glow. It was a black fighting suit, bearing a white square on the chest and his own adaptation of the traditional Green Lantern logo over his heart. He had knee high green boots and armguards, and a mask of his own creation. He bore this mask out of tradition, he no longer needed to hide his identity to the world. He had an eerie green aura around him which illuminated the rooftop in the early night. A globule of raw emerald energy emerged from his ring, expanded, and took the shape of...

"A rancor. I'm sure you've seen one before, or know of them. You see, I'm one of the only Green Lanterns to be able to wield the ring so well because I am part of a prophecy. The guardians of several millenia ago predicted that after a long run of good GL's an evil ring-bearer would emerge, with the strongest ring made. You see, these rings amplify a force user's abilities, and through their force-sensitivity and will power, they can do almost anything their mind can imagine. Only beneft mine has is that it was made of the same stuff the other ring's primary power source was, and it can't ever run out of juice. That doesn't mean it can't be weakened, it just depends on the Force User to power it. I only discovered it recently, which is why my power is only re-awakening now. For example, look at my good rancor friend here. See the detail? Doesn't it just look so hungry?"

The rancor crawled over to where Alpha's semi-concious body laid. It picked him up and threw him far into the middle of the roof. The rancor followed, ensuing with Mark in the rear. Unfortunately, the weight of the "rancor" was too much for the old building to support, and the roof crumbled, causing the three to fall down several stories.

A few dozen stories down, the three were covered in debris. The "rancor" had been impaled, and it let out a painful moan before shattering to pieces of green glass, then the glass melting away. Mark had taken quite a beating on the way down, and a few of his ribs were badly injured, maybe even broken, but he was able to stop the entire roof from falling on himself as well as his enemy. As he laid on a pile of rubble, his ring fizzeled out. The power was still left in it, so the outfit stayed, but there was no longer any power left for constructs, or flying, or anything for that matter. If his ring did have power remaining, he would even be able to mend his broken ribs. It would take time, and a deal of concentration, but it was a given that, in Alpha's state, he'd have both of those. To save whatever power remained in him and his ring, he had it deactivated for the moment, so the outfit did fade away. He now felt there was little else he could do but wait for the jedi to bring himself to fight.

{OOC:o K, I'll keep with the fight, I hadn't seen the thing, normally I go to the highlighted links of mine, but my brother had erased the history, and I sorta glazed over mainly...Sorry again.}

Alpha groans as he awakens, and gets up again, trying to harness his plasma powers after long nonuse.

"You're right, I can control the plasma powers...And I am also what you would call a Jedi Pyromancer, I can control flames."

Then Alpha's hands glow, not of flame, but of plasma powers. He has to concentrate hard to maintain it, but he finally has it again!

"Now you see..."

Satine gets slowly into a fighting stance, his plasma powers increasing in strength, and covering him.

Mark Fenix
Mar 4th, 2001, 05:25:58 PM
Mark, too weary and injured to fight in close quarters right now, saw the Jedi begin to charge the deadly matter known as plasma. He knew that if touched even slightly it could kill him, but Alpha was not the only person in this building who made a habit out of playing with energy.

"Well, I guess you also had some dormant energy-controlling powers as well. Maybe we should talk after this battle, you are not part of any side, and I think the two of us will be a force to be reckoned with. But, for now, I'm going to have to defeat you." Mark smirked. The jedi started to chuckle. It seemed that, in his coma, Alpha did not know what Mark did, and what he was capable of. He hurled a long stream of plasma energy at Mark, and he put his arms in front of his face as if to shield the light. in an instant, a green energy dome had appeared in front of him. The plasma flowed around it and Mark's costume re-appeared, starting from the arms that put up the shield. He went into a brief force-meditation, and a circle of energy passed over him to his feet, back up to his head, and down to his feet again, before dissapating. The same circle of energy appeared around Satine. He did not resist, knowing that the GL had done the same thing to himself.
"What did you just do to me?" Satine asked.

"Simple. I used the ring to mend your broken bones and any other injuries you may have taken. The pain will remain, but it will not effect your actions, and you will not lose blood or will it disable you. Your mind just still feels the pain, and the energy-healing process my ring is capable of. It hurts like hell and takes a deal of effort, but it's a lifesaver. Now we can fight fair," Mark said, clenching his fist, which was now swelling with emerald energy.

He took off into the air, flying straight up out of the dismal building back to the rooftop. Satine engulfed himself in a field of plasma, making the air around him light, and used another burst of energy to send him up as well.

OOC: If you can't actually fly, I just made up a reason for you to be able to. Another Comic Book character, the Human Torch, can do the same thing.

Mark decides to flex his creativity a bit. He makes a shield, but one with detail, and one that was 13 meters tall. He then shaped more energy into a sword, a longsword, to be exact, but about 20 times the size. He swung at Alpha, who jumped aside, but Mark had already flown straight at him. He kneed him in the gut, and backflipped/flew back. He then decided to have fun. He made in his hands an imperial standard blaster rifle, one for the left, one for the right. Of course they were green, but they were exact down to the slightest detail. He then stretched his creativity a little. Two, then four, then eight blaster rifles surrounded him, floating there. They weren't fake, either. This was the real deal; energy had taken a solid state, and they were all aimed at Alpha. He Force-called his saber to him, and then drew his second one. Mark smirked and opened fired.

Alpha jumps upward, his plasma powers making a shield around him, absorbing the blaster bolts. The Rogue Jedi fires two plasma discs, but they are delected by the Sith's powers.

"Impressive.."

Satine then throws two ordinary shurikens, one catchign the Sith in the right shoulder.

Mark Fenix
Mar 5th, 2001, 10:54:35 PM
"Feh, pathetic." Mark made about a hundred shurikens, totally ignoring the weak pain in his shoulder. A little flesh wound did not bother him.

Jedi Alpha
Mar 6th, 2001, 08:21:46 PM
"Uh-oh..."

Alpha blows some of the shurikens out of the air, deflected others, and knocked some back at Fenix. The Sith dodges them, but gets pegged by a glancing blow with a plasma bolt, burning through Fenix's shoulder. The Rogue Jedi then unsheaths a blade, jumping at Fenix, and bringing it down.

Mark Fenix
Mar 8th, 2001, 10:24:44 PM
"God dammit! Ahhhhg!" The pain that ripped through Mark's body was extreme. He glanced at his left shoulder to see what kind of dmage had occured. Turns out his ring stopped a great part of the blast, but there was a hole burned through his shoulder, almost 8 inches long and who knows how deep. The wound did not bleed for it was charred, burned horribly almost down to the bone. The smell of burning flesh filled Mark's nostrils, and he was overcome with anger at this Jedi. And the Sith tend to use anger and pain as an offensive, so when he saw the Jedi coming toward him in such a vulnerable position he quickly shot a blast of energy right into Alpha's chest.

The energy was tremendous. It was as if a great emerald fire ball of hades had burst out of Mark's fist, and made it's way straight to Alpha's heart. It was partially incendiary, and it burned a hole through his robes and gave him a at least a first degree burn across his chest, and the force was enough to have broken some of his ribs. He hit the ground hard, and the impact knocked the wind out of him. Mark took this time to reset himself, and got into a position, using the pain to fuel his rage. He didn't have many more options now. Usually he would have made a massive suit of armor or something to protect from these deadly blasts of plasma, but his ring was almost dead. It wouldn't be able to maintain such advanced constructs for a long time. He used the ring to do a simple thing, though. He lined his suit with a line of synth-muscle, the energy in his suit would increase his strength almost five fold. The Jedi groggily started to arise.

Mark nods, and dashes at the Jedi. His speed was greater than before, the dark side now flowed through him like white water rapids. The pain in his shoulder was forgotten, the effect, however, was visible. Mark kicked Alpha in the flame-broiled chest, and this kick was five times as powerful than the latter kicks. Alpha was sent flying back, and hit s piece of debris left on the rooftop from sometime. Mark notioned that it was the Jedi's turn.

Mar 10th, 2001, 08:07:14 PM
These blasts may have been more powerful, and more deadly, than the previous, but this time Mark was ready. He had designed it so that the synth-muscle energy lining would be energy-absorbing. Both blasts burnt holes through his "spiffy new outfit" near his lower gut, but the energy put up a protective shield so his skin was still intact, and without injury. He laughed as he got up.

In his hands he made two grenades. Almost in unison he threw them, one in the hole the rancor had previously made, the other at Alpha. He flew after the grenade flying toward Alpha. Both grenades went off with the same destructive force as an actual thermal detonater, but Mark was on top of the situation. Despite how crazy he may be, he wasn't suicidal. Every action he made in his life risked it, but he was always in control of the situation. This was one of those times.

He tackled Alpha and they flew into the air, then the impact of the grenade hit them. Mark was quick enough to put a shield over himself, although he didn't take the time to protect his opponent. Luckily for him, Mark was in front of him and absorbed a great part of the blast. Unfortunately, they were sent off of the far edge of the building. While in freefall they saw, hundreds of stories down, the building was exploding. It collapsed, and Mark let go of the Jedi to protect himself from falling debris. Alpha spread his artificial wings and started blasting any falling debris coming his way. The Jedi had presumed the Sith to be dead, and started to make his way down to the surface. Mark, however, had survived, and rammed into him at an incredibly high speed. They exchanged punches and kicks while in midair, all the while dodging falling mass of stone and steel. Mark looked about and realized he could take more advantage of the situation than he thought. He used the force to send a massive, several ton block of concrete right at Alpha from behind, while flying at him and side-kicking him in the chest, sending him flying head first into the stone debris. The Jedi hit with a thud, and began to fall helplessly to the ground, hundreds of miles away.

"Ooh, that's pretty far down. The guy's inventive, I'll give him that much. But for that, he must die."

Mark grinned and felt energy flowing through him. All the pain that this Jedi had caused him, his horribly burned shoulder, just made him hate this rogue Jedi more.

"Well, time to die, my little friend," Mark said to himself. The Jedi could obviously not hear him. "Although this was not boring, I won't forget this battle of ours." He looked around. "It's almost humorous, how they make these old Coruscant buildings so big, so hard to avoid." He made a massive swirling disc of energy. It started to grow and expand, and soon was almost forty meters in diameter.

The Jedi looked up and took note of this energy. He cupped his hands and shot a massive blast of plasma at Fenix, who now had his emerald disc ready. Mark grinned, and he hurled it at the blast, splitting it in half and causing the two halves to collide into distant buildings. Mark flew down and started fighting with the Jedi again. The disc, however, did not continue toward Alpha. It circled around behind a nearby skyscraper out of sight, then emerged through the near-middle of the building.

Mark then formed a behemoth Dark Trooper, almost the size of the skyscraper. It pushed the building and it began to topple on both of them. There was no escape for eeither of them, Alpha knew this, but Mark could save himself.

{OOC:If this is considered God Moding by any standards, I'll edit it. Kay?}

As the building begins to topple, Alpha focuses all the power he has left in his reserves of plasma energy into one concentrated blast.

When the building is about to impact with the Jedi, he fires the plasma, burning a hole into the building, and making a small haven for him. When the dust settles, Alpha is sprawled on the ground, in the middle of the hole he created.

OOC: Doesn't bother me. Hey, I guess some could viem my last post, and even our entire fight, as god moding! Well, I just wanted to see how you'd react to that last one.

Still breathing heavily from that recent dillemma, Alpha stood up in his little alcove of this massive structure. He felt out with the force but could not detect the life force of his opponent.

"Well, the Green Lantern must have fallen victim to his own trap," the Jedi murmured to himself. "It's a shame, really. He was so challenging, it was a very exciting figh-" He was cut off by a sound in his mind. He could not determine what it was, but it was evil, and it wanted him dead. He stood up to defend himself, and Mark came crashing through the wall, or floor, or maybe cieling, the shape of the building made it impossible to tell exactly. All that one was able to tell was, Mark was mad. He slammed into the Jedi before he knew what was going on, knocking him backwards into the other side of Alpha's alcove.

He continued to punch madly at the Jedi, with the increased strength through the ring and the Force, the punches were sending the Jedi back into the wall, further and further, until the alcove was out of sight.

Mark slammed the Jedi once more, causing him to fly back about 8 or nine feet right through the solid walls. Mark came to a sudden stop. Alpha did not get up.

"Well, judging by the way I've been hitting you, I estimate we must be at least 30 feet from where I found you, cramped in a 7-feet wide hole I dug out with your backside. I'll tell you what, how about I kill you now and we forget this whole thing, eh?" Mark shaped a ligthsaber into his hands and ignited it. He held the blade of his own creation to Alpha's throat. Alpha spit at Mark, but it just missed his boot.

"Very well, then. If that's the way you want it..." Alpha winced.
"Then you shall have it." Mark disengaged his "lightsaber", and had the energy dissipate in his hand. Alpha grinned, but Mark hurled a large stone at his head through the force, hitting Alpha's skull and shattering to pieces. He then started to walk away, and with the raise of his hand the stone walkway started to collapse behind him. For the last five feet there were about five or six tons of stone. Just to play it on the safe side, he sealed the final layer with a welding iron he made. He then spoke to Alpha through the force.

" Hey, Alpha, I sense that your plasma powers have run dry. Well, my powers are running low too. I've gotta run back up to the surface to recharge, maybe your powers'll come back before you lose all oxygen in there. Well, see ya later!" Mark grinned, and blasted a hole back up to the surface. He could already feel the Jedi's life force dropping.

Lucky for him Alpha, didn't realize how badly injured he was from the building falling. He removed his left hand from his lower chest, and it was covered with blood. He pulled a half-foot long steel rod out of his gut, grinned again, and collapsed atop the massive rubble from two destroyed structures. He chuckled in pain.

"I just need five minutes, my ring should take care of the major stuff, what I need right now is a little nap..." As Mark slipped into a self-healing trance through the force and ring, his subconscious mind felt his ring's power slowly dropping. His ring wouldn't have enough power to last the rest of this battle. Something in his mind told him the Jedi was too stubborn to die, and he'd soon be fighting him again.

Mark slipped into a dream state. In this dream he was met by the Oan who gave him this ring. The prophecy he discovered on Oa echoed through his mind.
"On the darkest night, one shall come to show light through the darkness and shall be the last bearer of the Green. Unfortunately, that bearer shall have darkness inside him, one which the light can only make dangerous." Was this truly he, the last ring bearer, Mark Fenix? The ring was given to him on the darkest day of the Corps, and it matches him almost exactly. "Am I really fulfilling a prophecy?" The question rang through his head.

Then a new scene came to his mind. He was at his home, his old home on Korhal, back when he was only eleven years old. It was the night before he left for his Starfighter Academy. He was facing someone. No, not someone: himself. But he was wearing the costume of a Green Lantern, one that the real Mark had never seen, and was twice this child’s age. It was Mark now, in his current state, or was it? All this dream stuff was confusing the hell out of Mark.

"I once called my ring a conduit to infinity..." spoke the GL Mark. The young Mark looked on with admiration and interest. “It turns out it’s a conduit to my battery, a lantern, which is a spawn of the original central battery on Oa. Unlike the other rings made, this one only needed to be recharged once every several millennia, to assure the user that it would work at peak condition all the time. You see, your ring and battery were crafted of the same material the Central Battery was made of, and has its own source of endless light. The ring was never recharged, which is why it failed so many years ago, and why it fails on you now. You’ve only been limiting yourself to your full potential for fear that it will run out of power. The ring has infinite light, light that cannot be removed, and it only needs a reawakening to return to full potential.”

“Wait, are you saying that I was never given a battery, a Lantern?” asked Mark. This Mark was not the boy or the GL; this was normal Mark, right now, lying in pain in the middle of a deserted section of Coruscant. But he was not in pain. He was there, but so was he from the near future and the distant past. He felt all emotions, from all three of his selves. He felt the confused child mind, only now being exposed to what his future held. He felt the righteousness and nobility of his future self, knowing not only things about the Green Lantern ring, but of the force. He was much stronger now than a Disciple, or even a Warrior. And then he felt the power. The three united around the battery, which was carried by the future Mark. The power spread throughout the three of them and ended up in Mark’s ring. His costume reappeared, and Mark’s dream world began to fade out of existence. The older Mark smiled at him.

“Mark, your power is what refueled your ring. The power will only last for 24 hours, and then it will return to its energy reserve state. It’s power is still limited, so be warned. You must go back and find your Lantern on Oa. Until then, good luck…” He tossed Mark’s ring at him, which he realized he was not wearing. He clenched it in his fist, and an explosion of green energy appeared around him like electricity, and he found himself standing in the middle of a barren city, looking like it was old, and some of it was destroyed.

The pain hit his brain, and he realized he was not dreaming. He had awoken from his hellish dream, and was fully recharged. His wounds were gone, but as he said before, it amplifies the pain. He now could only wait for the Jedi to either escape or die.

Alpha is unconcious as he begins to see something straight out of his own life--the Tolarian Academy, his home for the first 11 years of his life. There he saw his friend of 5 years, Takami-kos, another student for the PlasmaShaping powers, and even for the harder to learn SpellShaping, same as Alpha. Then, All Alpha saw was red, his vision burning up in pain. As Alpha opens his eyes he realizes the red was his own blood.

He wipes his eyes, and tries focusing, his hands glowing a strangely orange-silver sheen.

I'm going to kill you Mark...just watch

Alpha focuses, using an old trick from Tolaria, focusing all the different energies-mana, they were called-into different forms. Some took the form of fire, others plague, yet others bursts of pure life force. The Rouge throws the fire into the wall.

Normally the fire would have just charred the wall, but this wasn't ordinary fire. It ate its way through the rocks, and melting the higher rocks into a small wall, having just a hole he can get through.

The Jedi crawls through, his right hand glowing green with the ability to use the growth of things against his opponent, his right glowing black with rampant death. Alpha walks through the tunnel that Mark created, looking for the GL Sith...

{OOC:The SpellShaper stuff was things I used to be able to do, but stopped for unknown reasons just to let ya know. It's back. And sorry for the green, it may be your color, but it's the same as the color of green mana in Magic, where I got the SpellShaper thing from.}

OOC: Doesn't bother me. I don't mind, I can't hog the green all to myself.

"Ah, how nice to see you're up again. I'm glad you survived, it would pretty boring here without someone to pound the snot out of." The two energy users just grinned at each other. Mark took this as an advantage for himself. Alpha, while able to conjure up some old magic tricks, didn't bother to heal himself from the devastating blows delivered earlier.

They blasted off at each other from the several dowzen meters they were apart. Their sabers, well, Alpha's saber and Mark's freshly made one, collided, and the clash of powers sent shockwaves of energy throughout their battleground, entire pieces of stone that must have weighed hundreds of pounds, were lifted and sent into the air, flying kilometers away. They both let out a scream with an explosion of energy, sending them both hurtling back hundreds of feet. Alpha hit another abandoned building, going right through the wall. It didn't hurt him too much, though, he was glowing with plasma energy and partially melted through. Mark was sent bouncing across the debris-ridden ground, stopping after hitting a massive rock. He immediately got up and formed a high output laser cannon in his hands. He fired, but Alpha had already shot back with a bolt of plasma.

The two blasts collided and burst, but very close to Alpha. The blast blinded him for a moment, and Mark shot a few more energy balls at him during this moment. Alpha formed a ball in his hand, but it was hardly a foot away from him when the two collided, sending him back several feet.

Alpha groans, and decides that now would be a good time to heal up a little. As Mark charges at the Rogue, Alpha focuses white energy, and forms a barrier of souls, knocking Mark backwards as the Sith collides with it.

Alpha's body becomes surrounded by rampant life, his wounds beginning to heal. As it finishes its work, Alpha then forms an axe made entirely out of lava.

"Hey Fenix! Catch!"

As Fenix turns to look at him, the axe is thrown, But knocked away by a shield from that ring of his. The tomahawk hits the wall bbeside them, burning a hole through it.

Alpha stands up, brushing himself off.

"We're two evenly matched...I concede this one to you..."

"Indeed," replied Mark. He nodded to the warroir he faced. The battle was equal down to the very minute. The fight may well have raged on for several hours, had this Jedi not come to the conclusion that Mark was ready to propose.

"We will meet again someday, you know. Then," he said to Alpha, the cool night air blowing hard, "we'll finish what we started here. Until then, I'm going to need to make myself a lot stronger to beat you." The to chuckled as if they were old friends for a minute, then Alpha put i a stern look and walked away.

Mark caught a glint of metal in the rocks. It was Alpha's silver saber, the one he had fought with earlier. Mark called it to his hand via the force and grasped it, recollecting the battle that he had just been in so recently. He instantly changed back to his robes, clipped the spare saber on his belt, and started to walk away. He didn't have a clue as to where his saber lay, but it was better this way. He needed a new one, one that had meaning to him, not one he threw together the first day he arrived.

He made his way to a puplic shipyard and "borrowed" a Lambda Shuttle from an empty port. He was more injured than he thought, but there was no need for a bacta tank. He'd heal in a few days without it. Things would just be a little achy...
