View Full Version : The Release of Anger...For no Reason At All!

On some outer rim backwater planet, a lone Sith found her way into one of its many bars. She was lost in her thoughts but the lines of tension that etched into her face betrayed the edge that she felt. So much change has happened in such a short time that it all swirled together and sat in her stomach like spoiled bantha meat.

She had no idea how long she was sitting there, staring at her Ale. It must have been some time since the cold mug was quite warm in her grip. This pathetic excuse for a bar didn't have the makings for a Bloody Mary and she had to settle for this watered down house Ale. It took only one sip to realize that it taste like refined urine and Dalethria was contemplating throwing it in the barkeep's face.

Why think about it?

A grin formed and she raised her arm to toss the fowl liquor when someone bumped her from behind. The contents spilled all over the counter and into her lap.

She sensed the fear behind her and she really didn't care. Dalethria was already stewing in her own anger and this sparked it completely.

Pushing the glass across the counter, she grabbed the empty stool next to her and turned around, denting the steel leg over the poor fool's head. He slumped to the ground immediately as his head caved in from the impact of the chair, the strength behind it powered by the Dark Side.

The chair whipped behind her when Dalethria threw it and smashed into the wall. Two patrons had to drop to the floor to dodge the stool and she sat herself on the clean part of the counter. She reached behind the bar and pulled out some rum, popping off the cork with her teeth. She spat it out at the barkeep and it bounced off his head as she took a long drink. Wiping her mouth clean, she smacked her lips.

Then she heard a moan. The poor guy was still alive.

With bottle in hand, Dalethria jumped down and unclipped Shenlong's Fang. Thumbing the trigger, the yellow blade crackled to life with a snap-hiss. A flick of the wrist and the man's head was no longer attached to his body.

Raising the rum bottle in the air in a mock salute, Dalethria took another swing and and extended her senses, wondering if anyone was going to say anything. Especially since the next thing that she did was empty the rest of the rum onto the dead man's body.

*LV sat at the other side of the bar, amused at the sudden barage of anger the other woman let out... maybe she was having a bad hair day or something... or maybe she was just being a plain ol' Sith*

*what surprised her the most, though, was the fact the woman was weilding Shenlong's Fang... LV knew that lightsaber all too well... it belonged to Anbira, or had, at any rate*

*something esle to discuss with him, it seemed*

:: Dalethria heard one word, and the word had enough stopping power of a duracrete wall ::

ENOUGH!

:: Anbira strode in from outside, having witnessed the attack from the door. He walked swiftly to Dalethria, and stared her in the eyes. ::

Did you enjoy that?

There wasn't a quick response from the masses and she placed a boot on the dead man's chest with a grin. Her mood that was slowly starting to get better was all of a sudden brought to a halt when she heard Anbira's voice. She had no idea he was watching or how in the hell he found her here.

Before she could show any signs of respect, he was already nose to nose with her asking a question. The little noise that could be heard in the bar was silence by his presence, except for the gentle hum of the sabre in Dalethria's hand.

"Of course I did," came the reply and she threw the bottle on the ground, forcing it to shatter to place emphasis on the answer.

:: Anbira's hand flew to her mouth like the quick forked strike of a lightning bolt. Dale's head turned to the side as his hand slapped across her face...not terribly hard, but hard enough to know that she had made an error. ::

You enjoyed killing for no reason?

:: Anbira's mouth moved near Dale's ear ::

That...is....recklessness.

:: Anbira backed away, turning his apprentice's face so that her eyes could not escape his. ::

Your hate will make you powerful, but only if controlled. Where has this nobody's death gotten you? It was a waste.

:: Anbira pointed at his corpse ::

Dead men....do not learn.

:: He then pointed at Dale again ::

Kill for a purpose...and for a purpose only.

:: Reaching to Dale's lips, Anbira wiped a dabble of blood that was shed when Anbira struck her. He showed the bloodied tip of his finger to Dalethria. ::

Remember...wounds leave reminders. Reminders bend people to your will. Control...is power. Carnage is not.

She licked the blood off of her lip and it tasted bitter for some reason. Perhaps it was because her Master struck her face, maybe it was because he told her she was wrong, or maybe it was just what she felt inside. Oddly enough, something about what Anbira said did make sense.

Taking a step back, she used the back of her free hand to remove the rest of the blood, "I think I know what you mean, Master."

She pointed to the mark on Anbira's neck with a smirk.

:: Anbira felt the scar on his own neck ::

Yes...and this is probably the greatest reminder of my life. It reminds me that my dream still lives, even if it must be refined.

Her head moved back in confusion to what Anbira was talking about at first. Thinking about his words, she came to realize that her sabre was still ignited. Looking down at the still unfamiliar weapon in her hand, the night she received this came to mind. She was to be what Anbira could not and continue on his life's work.

The sabre disengaged and she clipped it to her belt. She narrowed her eyes and understood his point a little better and waited for what was to come next from her Master.

What is on your mind, my apprentice?

*LV had sensed the all too familiar presence before he strode in summoning silence upon the entire bar with his bellow... she watched the confrontation between both warriors, with a bit of amusement and complete respect... Anbira always had wise words to say... when it suited him to speak, anyways*

*she downed the rest of her drink, continueing to watch... the drone in the bar resumed... as she watched the two warriors, she saw Dale motion to Anbira's neck... there, she saw what might be a small tattoo... or scar... using the Force, she magnified the mark on his neck... she frowned... yet, something else to ask him about... she sighed, it appeared there were still more questions than answers she knew about the man she cared so much about... at times, it infuriated her, but such was life*

*she was about to order another drink, when she caught the word "apprentice"... she looked back at the two... he'd taken on another one?... it was beginning to look like the man had time for everything, except -- ... she threw the thought aside, and stood... she had other matters to attend to, rather than sit here and ponder on things that would only anger her the more she thought about them*

*using the darkened corners of the bar, she silently moved to the door, hoping not to be noticed by anyone*

"Change is on my mind. There is still much to get used to. This weapon, you, everything."

She wondered if this was yet another wrong answer but with Anbira, there was no way of knowing. Then she felt a presence nearby, one she should have felt earlier but her heightened emotions and her Master appearing deadened her senses. It was obvious that she didn't want to be seen and Dalethria kept her eyes locked upon her Master's. If Anbira wanted to say something to the one that was here, he probably would have done so already.

:: Anbira felt her leave. His feelings became deeply somber, but quickly he covered it up. ::

With...time.

Time.

:: Anbira turned to look away ::

Dalethria could hear the change of tone in her Master's voice. Perhaps it was Lady Vader or it was something that she said. Perhaps it was both and Master Anbira was quite correct that time was needed to adjust to her new way of life.

Her eyes followed his head as he turned away, wondering what was on his mind this time. "Something troubles you, Master?"

*outside of the bar, LV walked down the darkened walkways... it had gotten dark fast, but she liked the dark... it seemed to wrap around her like a comforting blanket, something to hide in, something to be warm in*

*it was only a few meters from the doorway to the bar where she'd parked her speeder bike... she needed to get back to her ship and make some business calls*

*reaching the bike, she began to sit on it when four large figures emerged from one of the darkened alleys between the large buildings... she sat the rest of the way on the bike, giving them a bored expression... all four stopped around her, with what appeared to be the lead speaking*

Lead thug: Hey there, sweetheart. What's a fine lady like you doing on such an expensive looking bike out in the dark and all alone?

*she merely blinked and looked at him, stiffling a yawn*

Lead thug: Hey, girly! I'm talking to you!

*she raised an eyebrow and addressed him*

I'm really in no mood right now to speak with anyone, especially the likes of you.

*she began to put on her riding helmet, and start the engine when the thug to her right grabbed her arm*

Thug 2: Oh, but we'd still like you to answer our question. Answer the question and we may only take your bike.

Thug 3: And/or you... we haven't decided yet.

*all four of the men started laughing and closing in on the bike and LV*

:: Anbira detected a change in the force, and his demeanor changed quickly. He threw his arms wide, levitating 3 inches off the ground and knocking away a chair. Turning to Dalethria, he spoke quickly ::

Come quickly, apprentice!

:: With force-enhanced speed, Anbira darted out of the restaurant, heading toward the spot where LV was being ambushed ::

The sabre leapt from the clip at her belt into her hand and the crackling energy sparked as the blade ignited. Dalethria didn't know what was going on but as she extended her senses outwards, a sensation of another's danger was evident.

Drawing on the ambient energy that was the Force, Dalethria darted right after her Master with enhance speed, running to keep up with him.

*LV sighed audibly and yanked her right arm hard, sending the thug holding on there flying over her, and crashing into the thug to her left*

Lead thug: Oh, that wasn't nice. Now we really will have to take you in for... questioning.

*he gave her an ugly sneer pulling out a very mean looking blaster... suddenly both he and the thug behind her came at her... she raised a fisted hand above her shoulder sharply, connecting solidly with the man's chin behind her, sending him flailing backwards... the other two that she'd downed early were starting to come around*

Enough of this.

*she grabbed the lead who had come at her from in front, lifting him by the throat, letting his feet dangle just above the ground... with her other hand she yanked the blaster out of his hand as he began to bring it up towards her face, and crushed it in her grip... the others stopped their advance and just stared*

I said I wasn't in the mood for speaking. Now I'm more than just not in the mood, I'm sorely pissed.

*she placed her pointing finger about 3 inches from under his chin... then she began to unsheath the claw that was there slowly... centimeter by centimeter*

Lead thug: Hey...>gack<... we can ma....>ack<... make a deal.>auh<... We'll...>gasp<... leave ya...>wheez<... be...

*an evil grin began to creep along her lips as his eyes began to bug as she continued squeezing... she started to wonder which would kill him first... her grip, or her claw, which was now just a few millimeters from piercing the skin under his chin*

*at that moment the other three large men had come out of their stupor and were starting to pull out their own blasters*

:: The nearest man found his blaster arm jerked powerfully toward a shadowed figure. Frantically, he squeezed off a few blaster shots, which seemed to arc straight upwards at the last moment, away from the man's body.

The shadowed form caught his arm behind the wrist, squeezing tightly. The popping sound were the thug's radius and ulna snapping like wet sticks. Anbira then twisted the man's broken arm back towards him, thrusting the fist with the blaster back into the man's face, effectively knocking him out with his own hand. ::

She deflected the blaster bolts with ease that were fired upon her as she turned the corner. One bounced back and shot right into the one of the remaining two thug's that were getting up. It forced him back on the ground as he fumbled for his blaster.

The other thug watched a blur race up to him and doubled over as Dalethria rammed the sabre hilt into his gut. Her elbow shot upwards and cracked the bottom of his chin. He muffled a moan of pain as he bit his tongue from that attack.

*LV turned her head slightly at the men pulling their blasters free of their holsters... and just smiled*

*that's when they met Anbira and Dalethria's strengths*

*she looked back at the man she was holding, now starting to turn an interesting shade of blue... she frowned slightly, having noticed neither Anbira nor Dalethria had killed the other thugs... strange... she continued to look at the man she was holding, but had softened her grip slightly and stopped the advancment of her claw, but didn't move it... if she let this man live, he would only commit this kind of crime again... if he died, end of problem... but he should die for attacking her, of all people... then why the frell was she just standing there and not killing him?!*

*she snarled softly... it must have been what Anbira had said back at the bar to Dalethria... she'd only caught a few words, but she'd gotten the meaning... yet this man wasn't just an innocent by-stander... he had attacked her!*

*she could feel both Anbira's and Dalethria's stares from behind her, waiting... LV narrowed her eyes still eyeing the man, still holding him by the throat, one claw just a centimeter or so away from under his chin, holding his life in her hands*

It was not her place to interfere at all. Lady Vader had the power to let the man live or die. All Dalethria cared about was that her Master's consort was alright ... and she was. The men that she faced were already dealt with and Shenlong's Fang was disengaged and placed back upon her belt.

Curiously, she watched ... waiting ... to see what Lady Vader would do.

*LV closed her eyes for a moment... she thought and then opened her eyes suddenly*

*with a lightning fast moment, she tightened her grip on the man with her left hand and slashed his face with her right, claws fully extened... her four fingers left a nasty gash on the man's face, from the top left, down diagonally to the bottom right... his left eye was gone*

*the man screamed in agony, yet she silenced him using the Force to constrict his vocal chords... placing her right palm over the gash, she heated her hand up, using the Force, burning the gash into placed, scabbing it quickly... the claw marks were quite clean and destinctive, and would leave a horrid scar on his face*

*tears were coming forth from his good eye as she brought his face towards hers... she spoke low and menacingly*

This is a reminder. Don't EVER do this again. I catch you so much as pulling a stunt like this again, and losing an eye will be the LEAST of your problems.

*disgusted, she tossed him aside like a rag doll... he hit a wall lightly and slumped down to the ground... he placed a hand over his dead eye and looked at her fearfully... his other two buddies by now had regained some composier and grabbed him, disapearing into the dark alley*

*she sighed quietly, and retracted her claws... she turned in the seat of her speeder bike to face Anbira and Dalethria... she nodded to Dalethria, and then to Anbira, locking eyes with him... her face softened slightly... it had been so long since last they'd talked, really talked... she felt an ache inside and realized she missed it very much... missed him*

*as suddenly as the emotion change had occured, it reversed... her face became hard and determined... she needed to thank them... she wasn't used to thanking people, but she knew when it was appropriate... and now was a time as such*

Thank you for the assist.
