Disrespectful. The people of Corusant didn’t seem all that friendly. I mean yes, when there was money-involved peoples opinions could be swayed and their attitudes turned to nice ones for a moment. Otherwise, in Rubens mind, they all seemed to be against you. Even when you walked down the streets people persisted into bumping into you or nudging you to the side or shooting blaster shots at you. Life was never quiet.

Not too long ago he had intercepted a callout for business by a ‘gun for hire’, known as Avolon Bisel. Before that, he had been in business with Boba Fett. Mercenaries, bounty hunters, it was a big business. So many people trying to get into it to make a credit or two, yet very few seemed to succeed. Mind-boggling.

Today as always, the brown-in-motion shifted its self to get into Rubens way as he paced lazily down the rain worn streets, stubbing his toe against an uneven paving stone on occasion. Just his luck, his pockets were empty as his hands delved into them, not a credit to be found. The binge doctrine had a possibility of not going to plan.

“Urrrrrrgh!” came a disgruntled murmur as a shoulder barged into the center of Rubens chest, knocking him back causing him to almost fall. The huge Wookie growled a growl with elongated punctuation on the ‘r’ in ‘wrah’, leering down at the human.

“Pal… cool it,” he groaned, rubbing his chest as the pain struck the center of his ribcage for a moment. Furry things, wookie were. Quite strong, too. Or so Ruben had heard. To be honest, he wasn’t stupid enough to test the beasts’ patience to find out, so ‘allowed’ the creature to pass by without any further nuisance.

After walking for some time, bumping into random passers-by with the occasional muttering cuss, Ruben finally found where he wanted to be. A large pillar like area seen by very many who travelled through the city as it was marked as a main crossroad. Blemishing the stonework of the tall construction were posters, stickers and call cards representing all types of trade and business. Underneath the layers of adverts Ruben could make out election posters. Beneath the posters, some old tattered flyers of restaurants. All sorts to be found here.

“Wanted: Capable team of body guards for trek into the forests and swamp area of Dagobah. Only the most brave/stupid should apply. If you are interested, please come to flat 447 beta in the Imperial Accommodations northern estate. Ask for Hadwin at the door”

It stuck out not like a sore thumb, but like some shining diamond beckoning the eyes of window shoppers to come closer and admire its beauty. This over would be too good to pass up.

Javelin picked at the tattered edge of a flyer she'd plucked off the ground. She sighed, looking over the description requested for the task. It wouldn't do. She stuck the fallen sheet back onto the board and glanced over the tatters of opnions. Far too many were most likely already taken; over-due to be yanked from the piles of posters.

Though she wasn't the only being browsing, by far, one man caught her eye. He seemed to be in a near-daze because of a simple paper. Javelin cocked her head to the side, deciding to see what had caught his eye. She silently stepped over, standing several feet away as she scanned over the paper.

"Brave maybe... But it may be dangerous to apply the 'stupid' part to yourself." A small grin crossed her face as the man turned around, slightly puzzled. She had to admit.. He looked intriguing. "So..eh..You applying for the job?"

Natural instincts. You had to rely on those a lot if you were going to be successful. React now, escape and hopefully DON'T die later. That's the way things worked.

"What's it to you?" he murmured almost incoherently, turning his attention back to the poster-laquered pillar.

Mean and keen. Two words which went together well. Interest someone by being mysterious. Yup, watching those videos on personality enhancement had certainly paid off. Ruben could now keep someone interested in his actions for more than enough time to pickpocket them.
