Alice looked over the device, with Tomiko observing her closely-- but only because there was really nothing better to do.
"Well..."
"Well?" Tomiko rolled her eyes. "I knew it. It's garbage."
"Pretty much. Because of the general location sercurity, tracking sensor reads nil. Audio is garbled. The visual readout is pretty bad. A couple of images here and there. I have approximately thirty seconds of usable footage and it's primarily blackness or shots of the floor."
"It was attached to the base of that statuette. How could you have expected something other than the floor?"
"That chip is a Universal Class Model Beta616. It's one of the best. It has two minature camera that capture surroundings at various degrees on intervals depending on the current power supply. Then it malfunctioned to give us useless shots which means it was very likely found and tampered with."
"Is there any GOOD news?"
"It does have Nuriko's voice... but like I said, without a location we're grasping at straws."
"Feh. Do we have anything useful?"
She attached her equipment to bring output on the main visual screen. "Actually, we have one image of a person. As well as a name...." Watch this shadow here speak to this figure....
[c]<font size=1 color=#0000ff>"Well, I believe this isZZZZZZZs something whichyou would want to discuss in private..."
"Depends on what were talking about, Jeseth...."</font>
...and FREEZE." She paused the picture and accessed the rectangular box she had attached to the control panel to crop and zoom.
<img SRC=http://www16.brinkster.com/jesethsworkshop/Jeseth_Portrait.jpg>
Tomiko looked on. "One name and one small picture? For all you know, he could've been disguising his appearance... and that name could be fake."
"Think about it. From the prior footage, we know she's up high in some Sith organization..." She played the audio again.
<font color=#0000ff size=1>"Greetings, fellow Sith. I've c*FZZZZZZZZZZT!*s with you... ...urgent matter."
"What isit?"
"Well, I believe this isZZZZZZZs something whichyou would want to discuss in private..."
"Depends on what were talking about, Jeseth. We don't currently ha*FZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT!*verse with members of another group in privateZZZZZZZZ. And it'sgonnahave tobe a very good reaso... arrange one."
ACTIVATING BUFFER... ACTIVATING BUFFER....
"Hm... How importa ntisthe complete and total destruction... Jedi, to youZZZZZZZ?"
"Ok.........you've peaked out interests. Thisisamore secureplace-------"</font>
This sounds like a matter for the high ranks to discuss. Looking at the rest of these figures on the remaining visual stills, the way they appear to be standing and surrounding him. The poise of everyone in these stills. He can't just be a nobody that wandered out of no where."

Alice leaned over and looked over at the controls.
Tomiko propped herself near Alice's seat and watched over her shoulder. "What are you doing...?"
"This ship and it's systems having greater compatibility that with those of the Universal class. So I'm just going to open up all the channels...." She grinned at Tomiko. "....and ask for this pretty boy's little head on a platter."
Tomiko shut her eyes and smirked.
"This pleases you."
"Putting up a bounty on someone we know nothing about whilst we have no money what-so-ever. This WILL be fun."
Alice sent out the transmission... and then added one last line...
<font color=#00ff00 size=1>WILL PAY ANY PRICE... DEAD OR ALIVE.</font>
"I just realized we don't really need him alive."
Tomiko shrugged. "Now what?"
"Now we continue on the path we planned on. It should bring us closer to her... or this target."

A beeping came from the control panel. Alice turned back towards them and unplugged the chip reader from the visual screen. "Dammit! There's a ship there! I didn't even see it! Why didn't I see it!?"
"That changed your mood fast." Tomiko looked at the screen. "I'm sure it's nothing. Pass it by."
Alice grimaced. "That ship is heading towards the system we just left behind."
"And?"
"And we haven't come across a single other ship heading towards the system we left behind. That system is isolated. It doesn't appear to be a cargo ship. I don't like a ship here with us... not here."
"Just pass it by. This ship has weapons. If it tries anything, we'll take it out."
Alice kept the ship on course, ready to pass by the craft unknown to be her to be the Mors Dominae... having no idea of the relation of the pilot inside to their prior intended target.

Tomiko sat down, crossing her arms and watching the screen. She felt something tugging at the pit of her stomach...
That ship... She got slightly concerned. ...has a force-user on it...

:: He noticed the other ship approaching and found he didn’t recognize the type or the markings, which didn’t seem that unusual being in a sector he had never heard of in any fashion. He set he scanners to probe it fully and make a complete composite of all the external data he could gather, thinking that perhaps something new technology or even design wise could be learned.
He watched the scanners compile the information, drawing a layout of the vessel, inside and out, when suddenly R564 started bleeping and beeping frantically, then the ship suddenly fell dead in space, the engines abruptly stopping and all sound from them ceasing as well. He spun in his seat and faced the astromech droid as all his holo terminals went blank. ::
“What is going on?!!
:: He bellowed at the droid, waiting for an explanation, wondering if perhaps it was some sort of malfunction, or possibly even countermeasures from the alien ship he had been scanning. ::

"What the--?"
Tomiko looked over at Alice. "What's wrong?"
"It's... it's dead."
"Dead? What's dead?" She quirked an eyebrow.
"That other ship. It's functions are ceased."
"Why is that our concern?"
"It's not but..." Alice scratched her chin. Is that pilot up to something?

“Get it fixed now!”
:: Trace commanded the droid, spinning back around in his chair looking out the transparisteel window at the passing vessel. From what r564 had told him the failure was due to a faulty connection and not a countermeasure, but Trace still felt there was more to this strange ship than met the eye. ::

Somewhat irriated, Alice began scanning the craft. "Damnit..."
Tomiko crossed her arms and bit her lip. She had serious doubts she would go undetected by another force user for long... Why couldn't that stupid ship just have passed us by...?

:: As he looked out the view-port at the strange vessel, he felt a shift in the Force. There was someone aboard the craft that had a semi familiar force presence. Its flux in the Force was very much like another Trace had felt before, one whom was actually a part of his family, yet it was not exactly the same.
The Sith’s eyes grew large and just as he came to the realization R564 restored his ship’s power, all the systems lighting back up and humming to life. This now became even more interesting to Prince Sha as he discerned what he had, but what should he do? Should he hail them and ask question, or should he attempt to disable their ship and demand answers?
His expression set firmly as he came to his decision, it was stern and resolute as he sat back in the command chair and started flipping switches. ::
“Power up the shields now R564, prepare for battle.”
:: He activated the weapon’s systems, using the data the ship’s computers had stored to pinpoint the main power source of the other and target them. It only took a split second and the torpedoes were away, streaming through space at their target. Once the weapons were away the YT-2000’s engines roared to life and began to move in an evasive pattern, away, yet remaining in somewhat of an orbit around the other vessel. ::

Alice's eyes widened. "CRAP!! SHIELDS!" Alice was slammed forward in her seat, as Tomiko was thrown the floor. Though the shield kept them from being destroyed, another hit like that would break through and cripple the small Fymyseo craft.
Tomiko growled and balled her fists. "So much for quietly passing it by."
Alice looked over the data on the control panel and on the visual screen. "Shields down to thirty percent.... And that ship's almost circling us like a shark."
"Get us out of here...! NOW!!"
"Like you have to tell me twice."
Their ship powered up and quickly zipped forward.

:: With targeting systems already locked onto the other craft’s primary power core, it was a simple task to fire another salvo of two torpedoes. They sprang forth from their firing tubes and he took to the piloting controls once again.
It would take a fairly speedy craft to escape from a YT-2000. He began pursuit as his weapons speed towards their destination. Lowing the power output to the aft shields afforded him even more speed for the chase as he followed like a bird of prey sensing the eminent kill. ::
“Your mine! There is no escape.”

Hmm... the chase is on. Hopefully he'll get the message in due time.
::She clicks the button on her right and sends an express message to Jeseths message service, then leaves the room::

Alice sighed. That ship was fast, but it obviously had never encountered the combination of Fymyseo and Universal might. The little Fymyse craft stayed ahead of the other ship.
Tomiko looked angry, but her expression soon softened and she began laughing.
Alice growled as she diverted as much power as she could to the craft. It was a constant struggle. "What's so funny!" she asked Tomiko, somewhat irritated. "You always do this when you think we're gonna die!"
"We don't even know where we're at."
"All we know is some psycho jerk is firing on us and now he's chasing us like some love sick wierdo!"
"And we don't even know who that is."
Alice moved to turn on the cloak, not that she expected that to help but perhaps it might take him off the trail for at least a-- She looked over at Tomiko.
Tomiko switched a button on the panel and prepared to transmit something out towards the other ship.
"Tomiko, what are--"
She started singing, "I don't know about you/ But I know I/ Love the reaches of the stars so bright
I don't know about you/ But I know I/ Go to sleep wishing only for a view
So I may see those stars shining their light..."

:: He watched as the torpedoes he launched, found their target. The prey had increased speed at the last second, keeping them from kitting their intended spot, that being the primary power systems of the vessel. Instead one struck the main engine in the rear of the ship and the second struck the ship’s life support power system.
Trace’s comm. crackled to life and he heard singing just as he watched the ship vanish from sensors, most likely a cloak. He found it mighty unusual that he would hear something like this from someone he had obviously scared to some extent, due to their fleeing the scene, but did not let it detour his efforts.
He was still in visual range and could manually control his ships laser turrets. Red streaks filled the space between the two craft as he opened fire. There wasn’t much more purpose in wanting this ship destroyed than just the thrill of spreading fear and causing some wanton devastation.
He ignored the strange singing and tracked his laser fire, closer and closer, his forward shielding still at full strength, while his course stayed steady. The hit to the other ship’s engines appeared to be slowing them down and the time for the kill was almost at hand. ::

"Shining light like a rising sun/ bring us all to eternal sleep...."
Alice blinked a couple of time. Her eyes suddenly widened and she covered her ears.
"SHINING LIGHT LIKE A REAPER BROUGHT/ TO BRING US ALL TO ETERNAL SLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE~~~~"
The singing voice reached a higher and higher frequency.
The control panel of the Mor Dominae began to crack and pop. Trace's droid began to beep like crazy.
Trace heard what sounded not loud but exact in its pitch. Suddenly his ears wanted to bleed. He grabbed his head, grunted and became dizzied... ...his head began to pound.
"~~EEEEEEEP/
NOTICE THROUGH THE SPRING'S BEGINNINGS/ A CLEARER PATH TO THE BITTER END
YOU CALL YOURSELF MAYHEM AND YOU CALL YOURSELF DEATH/
BUT THE ONLY FINALITY IS YOUR OWN BITTER END
WINTER'S APPROACHING
RIGHT AROUND...
THE BEND......"
The song repeated and repeated. By the time Trace managed to shut off the incoming signal, the ship was no where in sight.

Tomiko sat down with her arms folded neatly in her lap, like a performer who had just finished her show.
Alice carefully uncovered her ears. "Siren. Haven't seen that for a while.... or heard that I should say." She looked at the control panel. "You recorded it and placed it on a loop. How cruel," she said with a smirk.
"You should've been piloting the ship. Solitaaru are immune to the most harmful properties of siren."
"And get a migrane from that? No thanks. I put it on auto-pilot, it got us pretty far. Fast and being from the homeworld of our oppressors, no surprise it stands up to siren." Alice immediately looked down at her gun. "You broke my Wipe-out though.
"You can fix it. Let's just find some place to recover and fix whatever damage was done to our craft."

<font size=1>(ooc) Hey... isn't Trace's ship still on Vjun? Just thought I'd ask, since I've been using it since he left it behind there... Unless this happened before that. Anyhow...</font>
Jeseth glanced down a newly arrived message, watching it's contents play on. A bounty? He almost laughed to himself, but then he remembered what the last bounty hunter had cost him: All his friends, all his family... dead. Perhaps this way indeed a blessing. Whoever this bounty would be, Jeseth would take vengence upon him as if he were the very same who slaughtered his crew so many years ago...

:: The headache that followed was tremendous, but he had learned something new from this encounter. If he was to run into that craft again, they would have to come up with a different method of escape, he would not be had with the same trick twice.
Running a quick diagnostic, he found that the ship’s systems were mostly intact, a few minor shorts having been the cause of the sparks. With a glance over his shoulder at R564, he said. ::
“Plot the course home, we’ve done all that there is here for now.”
:: As soon as he finished speaking, he cringed and lowered his head. The pain was intense, the after effects of what had been done moderately severe, but nothing a long trip through hyperspace and a little sleep wouldn’t cure.
The Mors Dominae blinked out of sight as it entered the hyperspace conduit and left the mysterious system, with new data and a pilot who had just learned something new about the people from this system, or at least they seemed like they were from this system. ::

It had been about another hour. Alice looked over to Tomiko. The younger one was sitting back in her chair in an extremely relaxed fashion. She was "hooked" up. Alice couldn't really understand such a concept. All she knew was it was a gift from the Universals and that one should be wary of such things. A gift from the Transnational Universal Dominion was really no gift at all.
Tomiko tapped her claws on the vial she was hooked up to. Her eyes were just slightly glazed. She sighed. "I don't think this guy could get any more boring. She shut off her port and placed the vial back in her case. "On the bright side, he stayed in this ship a lot. Slept in this chair here..."
"That's interesting."
"For five years." Her voice became sarcastic. "Yeah... interesting." She looked to the screen. The image of the man they were seeking was still there, most likely after being retransmitted by Seraphim.
"Thought I better give it another go," Alice commented.

"Does it have to be there?" she grimaced. "It's like... staring at me. Like those paintings decorating the Universal Hall over in New Bymyse."
"Are you getting creeped out by a mere image? This is a bit different for you." Alice smirked. "Boooo~~ I'm looking at you."
"Ugh..." Tomiko kicked the panel, shutting the image off. She opened the case again and scanned the vials.....
Alice looked over at her. "Doesn't that get boring?"
"Well the recall isn't always the same everytime. Neural data is extremely sensitive. Sometimes after long runs, I can even tap into dreams..." She looked over at Alice and then plucked a vial out of the case.
"Who's that?"
"It's no one," Tomiko snapped.
".......all right, all right, kitty cat. If you say so." Alice put a headset on and scanned various transmissions and databanks, looking for their next stop.

Alice hummed and continued sifting through the files. "Well this is something different, Tomiko."
Tomiko kept her eyes closed and simply said disinterested. "NOW what?"
"Our current position is clear on these charts. We're coming up on a inhabited cluster."
"grrrreat..."
Alice looked over at her companion. "Pffft." She took the craft off of auto and set a course.

"I'm prepared to do what I need to do. I won't live the rest of my ****ing life as a pathetic nomad. Kenshiro gave me a way out. I'm taking it."
"As long as you don't go changing your mind on me."

The doors to bast swept open, clamoring on their hinges. The dark Jedi stepped forward from the archway and walked into the middle of the smooth marble floor, the images which had been etched into it for all eternity still as visibly strong as ever. nothing about Bast ever really changed since the time when it belonged to Darth Vader himself. Jeseth smirked at the thought - he had been a failure, as Jeseth himself might have ended up becoming... but no, he was given a second chance. He would not betray his destiny this time. The shadows which pursued him down the gothic hallways seemed to take the shape of beasts, serpents, and then fog.
Jeseth had vanished into his study. He would wait to welcome this bounty hunter with open arms.
