Ixar was in a relatively happy mood today, he had spent the day in pain, allowing every section of his body to ache and bleed, then healing them, and doing it over and over until he felt calm. Now, he had been instructed to conquer a pitiful lower being, the Loh’r. They were humanoid in design, but had larger eyes, three of them at that. They also had a slight tail, and sharp fangs. Their skin was tough, but nothing a Vong weapon couldn’t cut through.

Ixar walked over to the bridge of his command craft, the Harla. The Harla was 350,000 men strong and had 70,000 troopers onboard. The beautiful craft’s span was that of 12,000 meters! Looking at the craft alone took Ixar’s breath away, it was a show of the Vong’s power, and beauty, but it was pure and ruthless at the same time.

Ixar then prepared himself for the combat. Positioning himself in the proper commander fashion, readying himself for conflict. His fleet, the Beta fleet, was currently in the Vong Galaxy, as he enjoyed referring to it. He had been ordered to take the lesser creatures by surprise, and enslave the populace of the planet, one by one.

The Sector the Loh’r lived in was lush in resources; it had a brilliant view of the galaxy, and would be a grand gem to add to the massive Vong Empire. Ixar shook himself out of the daze he was in and made ready. <font color="#CCFF33">"Helm, prepare to jump to the Loh'r sector. Gunnery, make weapons ready, Command, relay to the fleet the previously stated orders."</font>

“Helm preparing for jump.”

“Gunnery readying weapons.”

“Command relaying orders.”

<font color="#CCFF33">"We jump on my mark... mark!"</font> The fleet leapt into hyperspace, a brilliant trail of white light formed and Ixar let the peace and calm of the scene sink in, allowing it to engulf him and advance him as one with the ship. This mission would be interesting, to say the least.

The Loh’r sector was brilliant. Ixar reviewed the sectors resources and estimated defenses, smiling to himself. Loh’r consisted of five planets, all controlled by the populace of Loh’r. Each planet had between three to eight moons, and there was a large asteroid belt around the sector. Data on the sectors is as follows:

Loh’r Prime - Homeworld – forest planet: Population - 4 Billion: Resources – raw ore, lumber, precious stones, agricultural.

I’kreg - forest planet: Population – 1 Billion: Resources – raw ore, lumber, precious stones, natural gasses, agricultural.

D’kaw - neutral planet (oceans/forests/wastelands, etc.): Population – 3 Billion: Resources – raw ore, lumber, precious stones, natural gasses, agricultural, assorted others.

Remi - Water planet - not much here.

Ikar - forest planet: Population – 200 Million: Resources – Raw ore, lumber, agricultural, natural gasses.

Ixar smiled, this would be a grand victory for him and the Vong, and it might even be fun. Ixar pondered strategies, what exactly would he do to take this one… bombard it, invade it… he didn’t know at this point and time.

<font color="#CCFF33">"Helm, time 'till real space destination?"</font>

“Thirty-seven minutes and counting.”

Ixar shook his head, he couldn’t wait for the battle. The estimated defenses were half of his Beta fleet… his fleet consisted of the following craft:
Command Ship Harla
Heavy Cruiser Laughable Pride
Heavy Cruiser Storybook
Heavy Cruiser Chazrach
Heavy Cruiser Fate
Light Cruiser Yammka Rock
Light Cruiser Yammka Pride
Light Cruiser Rock Beast
Light Cruiser Rock
Light Cruiser Lunar Beast
Light Cruiser Anor
Priest Ship Asteroid
Priest Ship Zhaelor
Yuuzhan Vong Corvette Space Surfer
Yuuzhan Vong Corvette Gods' Decree
Yuuzhan Vong Corvette Relenting Foe
Yuuzhan Vong Corvette Kwaad
Speed Corvette Viccae
Speed Corvette Ritual Music
Light Transport #3
Light Transport #4

Ixar felt this would be a great new endeavor, and would be prosperous.

Ixar cracked his neck; he had somehow fallen asleep while waiting for his fleet to come out of hyperspace. Due to him being in an unusual position, his neck was stiff. Ixar yawned, <font color="#CCFF33">"Status report."</font>

“Sir, we’re about to come out of hyperspace in the Loh’r sector.”

<font color="#CCFF33">"Order fleet to prepare all systems, be ready to launch fighters. I want every weapon operational and ready. Bring shields up as soon as we're out. I want us in a vanguard formation once we're out. Relay orders to the entire fleet."</font>

“Sir, fighters ready to be launched.”

“Aye, Sir. Relaying previously stated orders.”

“Prepare for exit from hyperspace, in three, two, one.”

The massive craft came out of hyperspace first, followed by the rest of the fleet. Shields were brought up and weapons were ready. The fleet formed up in a vanguard formation and awaited further orders.
<font color="#CCFF33">
Divide into two task forces as follows:

1. Command Ship Harla, Heavy Cruiser Laughable Pride, Light Cruiser Yammka Rock, Yammka Pride, Priest Ship Asteroid, Yuuzhan Vong Corvette Space Surfer, Speed Corvette Viccae, Light Transport #2.
2. Heavy Cruiser Storybook, Light Cruiser Rock Beast, Rock, Priest Ship Zhaelor, Yuuzhan Vong Corvette Gods’ Decree, Speed Corvette Ritual Music, Light Transport #4
3. Heavy Cruiser Chazrach, Light Cruiser, Lunar Beast, Yuuzhan Vong Corvette Relenting Foe
4. Heavy Cruiser Fate, Light Cruiser Anor, Yuuzhan Vong Corvette Kwaad
</font>

“Aye, Sir. Dividing forces.” The ships moved into four task forces, each in a vanguard formation, each ready for combat.

Ixar’s cold stair filled the room with unease; he was concentrating on the next objective. Ixar gave off a slight smirk, <font color="#CCFF33"> “Group 1 will be going for I’kreg, and two will go for D’kaw, three for Remi, four for Ikar. Once they have been taken all should regroup one hundred kilometers from Loh’r Prime.”</font>

The crew looked at Ixar, giving slight nods as they went about relaying his orders and following his commands. The bridge was busy, with vilip pods showing tactical data and imagery of the other, lower, commanders and strategic relays. The fleet’s dovin basals pushed them on their separate ways, hurling them through space like toy boats caught in the wind on an even body of water.

Ixar’s small group from the main battle flotilla was armed to the teeth and ready to fight to the death, if need be, which it wouldn’t. The group did a micro-jump, taking them four kilometers away from their target of I’kreg. Ixar immediately began to relay orders, <font color="#CCFF33"> “Ready all weapons systems, and launch one wing of Heavy Skippers and two of Light to intercept any enemy craft. Prepare for bombardment of the planet’s cities.”</font> The crew did as they were instructed, some relaying orders, others following commands. The group was ready to take the planet.

<font color="#CCFF33">”Commence bombardment of the planet’s cities,”</font> commanded Ixar. Literal fireballs and rock rained down from the fleet’s position in space towards the planet, through its atmosphere, and on the helpless targets.

As Ixar watched on, small dots formed on the image the vilip has formed. <font color="#CCFF33">”Sensors, do you detect any fighters?”</font>

“Sorry, Sir. Yes, Sir.”

<font color="#CCFF33">”Fighter Control, intercept. Launch another Heavy wing and two Light wings, have them guard the fleet.”</font>

“Yes, Ixar.” Said the Flight Controller, relaying the commands to his craft and fighter pilots.

The three original wings of coral skippers moved towards their target, not even breaking formations. As they came into firing range, they unleashed brilliant, beautiful, yet deadly, showers of plasma that collided with enemy craft, causing massive damage and or destroying them. The enemy had no form of shielding, organic of mechanical. Their craft were organic; however, they did not has the sophistication that the Vongs had developed in campaign after campaign against ever changing targets.

As soon as the coral skippers had reached the enemy fighters, more launched from the planet’s surface towards the attack group. Ixar noticed them and commanded, <font color="#CCFF33"> “Have the second group of fighters that we previously launched intercept and destroy the infidels. Launch another four skipper squadrons to protect our combat group.”</font> a Vong warrior working to the side nodded at Ixar and relayed the commands.

Ixar broke an evil smile, looking towards the planet that, he knew, would soon fall. As Ixar watched on, showers of what could have been meteorites, but were in actuality missiles, penetrated the planet’s atmosphere, traveling through the oxygen rich air towards their targets, colliding with them and exploding on contact. <font color="#CCFF33">“Prepare to launch ground forces on my command, have all four Skipper wings escort them,”</font> said Ixar, in a slightly happy voice.

Ixar watched as the equivalent to shuttles and transports entered the planet’s atmosphere, being careful to avoid friendly fire. The shuttles made it to the planet’s surface and started disembarking their cargo of troopers and other creatures.

Ixar raised his head slightly, proud to be a part of this campaign. “Commander, we have defeated the lesser fighters of the enemy. Our fighters are awaiting your command.”

<font color="#CCFF33">“Command half of the launched forces to begin strafing runs on the planet’s surface, make sure they avoid our own troops. Have the other half return to fleet and guard it.”</font> The Vong nodded at Ixar, relaying the commands.

Vrax Choka

Vrax Choka exited the transport with a teeth bearing grin on his face. Bringing his amphistaff up to his shoulder, he looked around at the other Vong already fighting off the inhabitants of this planet. He ran over to one and drove his amphistaff through his head. And turned to kick a by stander in the chest, collapsing his breast bone and crushing his lungs. Vrax ran over to another man and punched him so hard in the face, his head litterally snapped. These men were not particularly well armed however they could, no doubt, cause a lot of damage. This could be fixed. A blaster bolt blew up the earth by one of his feet and he turned to find another Vong with his amphistaff though a man with a blaster's chest. Vrax gave him a nodd before taking out his villip and contacting 5 other Vong. Their stay at the main battle site would not be for long but they needed to take out the main defense of this planet that had not been destroyed by the ships.

Several of the warriors broke from battle and marched to one of the defensive outposts. They hurried through the fights all around them and hid around the building. Vrax and two others, either side of him, ran at the building with the massive gun on the top, the other three surrounded it and would come in from the opposite sides. Two men came charging at them with blaster rifles, to be met by two blorash jellies, which istantly wrapped around them tighter and tighter as they struggled. Vrax's amphistaff was now in it's whip formation and Vrax used this on one of the men he encountered whilst entering the building.

Inside there were not many people. Not now they had all been killed at least. Vrax spotted a generator in one corner of the building. His comrades made their way to him from the other side of the buidling. The Vong moved back and from each hand came a razorbug cutting into the metal skin with ease and starting a fire. The fire would spread through the circuits to upstairs and to the gun. The fire would move quickly because of the bad design of the building.

The 5 Vong with him quickly ran out soon to be followed by Vrax. They made their way quickly, over two a reasonably good cover point and ducked, as the gun exploded sending a ball of fire upwards and around, and sending debris and shards of metal everywhere. The reast of the building was on fire and they made their way back to the main battle area. Only a few of the opposition were now alive and a few of the Vong had been taken by blasters to the head mainly, no doubt at point blank. Did they not see of the cleansing they were putting upon the galaxy? Maybe not.

A squadron of Skippers aimed directly down, piercing the planet’s atmosphere almost instantly and falling like stones to the planet’s surface. As they approached the planet’s surface they fired off plasma and pulled up, nearly touching the canopies of the trees that lined the floor of the planet. The plasma scorched the ground, and more importantly a barracks, killing all of the defenders inside, silencing its weapons.

“Commander, all 70,000 warriors have landed safely and are proceeding to capture the planet.”

<font color="#CCFF33">“This is good news, prepare to break orbit and make haste to the next objective, I’m sure the other groups are almost done.”</font>

“As they are, Commander.”

On D’kaw the second group was encountering massive resistance, several wings of enemy craft and several destroyer class craft. Commander Krekit stood, arms locked behind his back, giving rapid succession orders.

“Command two fighter wings to stay with us! Have the rest attack the larger craft! Prepare to launch landing party, we must capture this planet! Set all our dovins to defensive! You have your orders, now execute them.” All aboard the ship gave slight nods and busily went about their tasks and duties.

Captain Krall Treyz sat rigid in the command chair of the Heavy Cruiser Chazrach. He didn't like commanding from these gargantuan cruisers, not any more than he liked the name. He would much rather be leading teh assault on Remi from the Light Cruiser, but much, much more would be occurring on this bridge than that, and he had to keep these upstart Domains in their place.

Domain Treyz was one of the oldest and most respected of the Domains. It was the Treyz Warmaster that overtook the Chazrach, offering them to the Yuuzhan Vong Surpreme Overlord in exchange for unrivaled glory. That had been centuries ago, and still Treyz was held in high regards. And here was a Yuuzhan Vong captain, a Treyz, serving a ship named after the race his forefathers had overtaken.

How sad.

But that planet below would be a wonderful offering to the Yuuzhan Vong empire. Treyz had formulated his own plans for using it, plans that could increase the Yuuzhan Vong's strength greatly. Only random, sandy islands broke through the surface of the somewhat shallow water, hardly large enough to see from orbit. Their ship's size was starting to cause odd weather already, and large waves formed, dashing apart some of the less impressive, smaller islands.

As transports lazily left their bays and floated down to drop their cargo, Treyz decided to pull back a bit more. It wouldn't do for him to lose ships to no opposition whatsoever. The Heavy Cruiser and it's escort, a Light Cruiser and a Corvette, slowly pulled away from Remi.

The few dozen transports skimmed the surface of the mighty ocean. The Dovin Basals strained themselves to support their charges. The ships were so close to the water, they could very nearly see the bottom through the crystal clear waters. Fish scurried away in schools as the ships passed overhead. Most of them were very large.

Apparently, the transports were suddenly redirected by their eye in the sky, Chazrach. They righted themselves around and hastily made for a nearby archipelago. A few of the transports flew off to some other destination, likely another handful of islands relatively close by.

The sheer amount of small, sandy islands was amazing. Thousands, tens of thousands, tightly packed and spanning a few square miles of ocean. Yet they weren't as close to eathother in the center. The fringe of the islands made almost a wall, encompassing the innards. Almost. Dedicated workers would fix that.
