˙Time seemed to stop as the TIE Defender pulled out of hyper space. His entrails took a giant leap, taking evasive measures contained within the rib cage. Capital Ships. Many capital ships filled the long range scanners of the TIE Defender. They were positioned in a wide defensive overlap tactical, waiting for the enemy Blockade to open fire.
“Boiler Flight, stay in escort tact.” Jet Rok’s voice filled Boiler Flight’s communications channel. His voice was monotone over the unit, but the flight members could sense Jet’s first mission anxiety. Slightly port of the four TIE Defenders that comprised Boiler Flight was a Corellian Corvette made popular during the Rebellion as effective blockade supply runners. Opposite Boiler Flight was Grouper Flight, four more TIE Defenders. Leading the escort was Arctic Flight.
“Boiler Flight and Grouper Flight– you take enemy star fighters. Arctic Flight’ll grab any Capital Ship interceptors.” Arctic Flight’s leader relayed the orders. The newly formed TIE Defender Squadron clicked their comm’s twice.
