Khendon smiled at the wicked creature he had developed and laughed slightly, this would be a great endeavor.

(OOC: Note: I've spent 145 r/l days researching the Erebus and its technologies, now i'm rping the 35 day build time for it and i'll rp a week or so of test firing and testing it. The First fleet is guarding it currently.)
(EDIT: it takes 90 days to complete, sorry, it'll be done 8/18)

Khendon walks towards the nearest lift, reading the schematics for the Enigma weapon aloud as he walks.

High powered ion cannon…

He gives off a slight laugh as he reads its immense power.

Khendon walks up to the bridge and begins chatting with one of the commanders, “This child shall be the greatest in the galaxy, no one shall stop her. I believe we have an ace in our sleeve.” Khendon gives another nod and walks over to the main view port, watching as the two shipyards’s staff, in space suits, work on the outer frame.

(OOC: Bah, right when I start Rping this I have tons of work to do, I’m designing bewildrocks.com for my cuz’s band, I have a ton of school work, I have my own band to worry about… bah!)

Khendon wakes up that morning, dresses, and walks out on deck. Today would be another interesting day of watch the Erebus command ship being constructed. He was draining large amounts of resources to have thing built, and he was going to make sure it was completed on time. Khendon walked up to a console and, while drinking some hot beverage, hit several buttons. Today the outer frame would be around 20% complete, he was glad, the sooner this thing was operational, the sooner he could hide it and plan.

It was early the next morning when Mark walked in to check up on Khendon in his office on Kyrin V. Since they had resigned from their former "engagements," both had attempted to stay out of the major events happening in the galaxy.

Mark had chosen to take a little time for himself, to reflect on his past and attempt to start a future from almost scratch. He felt more confident in himself, though: after leaving his home, TSE, he had feared he would not find time to work on his studies in the dark side. However, the devotion he had grown wouldn't surrender, and he ended up building a small training facility in a secret location on a more-secret planet.

Khendon, never the less, was as occupied as ever. For weeks he had been bragging about his coveted "Erebus", referring to it as some sort of hellspawned creature that had taken over his soul. Mark had considered getting him institutionalized, but two days ago he was sent the statistics and progress on the Erebus. After reading it, his jaw was about ready to drop off.

"So what kind of crazy little scheme have you gotten yourself into this time, K7?" He expected to hear some uptight, "I know what I'm doing and I'm doing it right" response from Khendon, but he simply paused for a minute. He smirked, and Mark saw the unoccupied Khendon shine through for a minute.

"Little? Oh, I beg to differ, Mark." He didn't go any further than that. He went back to viewing several holopads. Mark picked one up off the desk table. He viewed it as construction droids and workers worked on the command ship in space. It was more fantastic than he imagined it would, the sheer evil in its design was frightening enough. The ship would definitly prove to be interesting in the future after its completion.

Khendon smiled back at his friend again, taking a bite of some unusual bacon sandwich. “Have a seat, I want to go over the fighter recon configs and missions with you, we have to make sure no fleets approach the sector with hostile intent.”

Mark Fenix
May 24th, 2001, 09:37:02 PM
"Heh. Lemme guess. You want me to take some small ships and a few fighter squads and patrol the perimeter, right? Don't worry, this system is quite hidden, hostile intentions aren't going to be a major problem. However, better safe than sorry, right?"

Mark leaned back in his chair... a little too far. It toppled over and he hit the floor.

"Oww..."

Khendon S
May 24th, 2001, 09:41:20 PM
Khendon shook his head, an evil grin on his face. “I’d say take a prophet and a wingman and scout out, will ya’, man? PLEASE! It’d be a great help!” Khendon took another bite of the sandwich and spoke, mouth still full. “I want you to take sectors Alpha and Delta, they are the closest to hostile territories, in the prophet you will be entirely stealth and will have an encrypted channel to communicate with, not to mention they can outrun some missiles and handle really well. You can take a max of two wingmen, I’d suggest one, but I’m not that good of a fighter pilot, am I? So I wouldn’t know. If you run into trouble call in for backup, I can have a wing of TIE Executions and two wings of Shadow Droids aid you in a second, deal?”

Khendon S
May 26th, 2001, 11:14:51 AM
Mark looks slightly confused, but Khendon ignores him, “I’ll take that as a yes, but I’ll send you with five other executioners, you’ll be in an executioner, as well. I’ll assign one prophet to your squadron and I’ll have a BII in h-space waiting if you need aid or have to get out quickly, have fun.” Khendon looks back at a data pad; the large enigma weapons are being attached into the frame of the Erebus.

Mark Fenix
May 28th, 2001, 02:14:03 PM
"Sounds fair. I only need six executioners, so that should be good. Just a few questions. First of all, you're crazy if you think we're going to run an inter-sector watch crammed into Executioner cockpits. And those little things can't go too long. What kind of ship are we taking? And another thing, don't sectors Alpha and Delta border the Vong's system?!? Thats what this mission is all about, isn't it? You want me to keep the Vong out of your hair long enough for you to finish the Erebus, am I right?" Mark looked up for a moment, grinning. "And one last thing. Can I bring a friend?"

Khendon S
May 30th, 2001, 07:38:37 PM
“You know everything, don’t you? I’ll give you a Star Destroyer as backup with 4 Neb BIIs, 2 Imp Escort Carriers… happy?”

Mark Fenix
May 30th, 2001, 07:42:05 PM
"Sounds great. I'll leave in a few days. Have fun with overseeing the construction while I'm gone. And try not to get so excited you wet your pants, ok?"

Khendon S
May 30th, 2001, 07:47:36 PM
Khendon narrowed his eyes, normally he wouldn’t take this, but Mark was a damn good pilot, and he needed damn good pilots. “Fine, I’ll try not to.” Khendon rubbed the hilt of his saber and looked back at a data pad as the internal frames were fitted and levels started to be outlined on the Erebus.

Jun 22nd, 2001, 05:13:01 PM
Khendon awoke, face drenched in perspiration, he had just had a terrible dream. In his dream, a Vong attack force had somehow managed to get through his defenses and crush the Erebus in construction. Khendon picked up a pad and looked at it, the ship had almost finally been finished, but its weapons, shield, generators, and all, had to be tested, that's when they attacked, in his dream.

Khendon got up and walked over to a locker in his office, he pulled out a new flight suit, pure black, and a helm, also black with the call sign ‘K7’ etched on the side. Khendon hit a button on the wall and a droid came in, “May I help you, Sir?”
“Yes, may I please have a cup of coffee, black, please.”
“As you command, Master.” With that a cup came out of the droids chest and a hose filled the container with a dark colored substance that’s aroma filled the air.
“Thank you.” Khendon picked up the cup and took a sip, savoring it for a moment. “That will be all, you may leave.” The droid left with a little tout as Khendon began to change into the flight suit.

Khendon emerged from his room in the suit he had changed into, helm under his arm. He walked over to a lift and hit a button, going down to one of the lowest levels of the installation he was on. As soon as Khendon got out he looked around, he was now located in the top secret fighter development area of his lab on Kyrin V. Khendon walked down a long, white corridor, looking through various windows into several different clean rooms where chips and parts were delicately being constructed and tested.

Khendon came to the end of the hall, a black door now facing him. His eyes fell on a command pad, which onto Khendon typed the following: “killjoy010226845.” The door opened, with a swish from the release of oxygen. He walked in and the door closed behind him, making the same sound. Pure oxygen was then pumped into the room and micro lasers lightly ran over his body, identifying him. If Khendon had been an imposter, a small flame would have been lit, causing an immense fireball to form that would kill him almost instantly, but this was not the case.

The gray door in front of Khendon opened, allowing him access to a small hangar. Inside Khendon found his personal fighter and two experimental copies of it next to it. “Load them up, I want to be in space in five minutes!” Said Khendon as doors opened and men in clean suits and flight suits filed out to put the finishing touches on the two experimental modified Executioners.
“Hello, Sir, my name is Birch, I’ll be one of your two wingmen.”
“Sir, my name is Rockston, I’ll be your other wingman.”
“Glad to meet both of you, I’m sure I won’t have need of you, but still… company is always welcomed.”
“Aye, that it is, Sir.” Said Rockston.

After several minutes the three figures entered the heavily modified Executioners, activating them. Khendon looked at the controls as a laser locked onto his eye, sending micro images into it that only he would be able to see and would provide him most of the information. Another blue laser activated, providing the HUD in brilliant detail. “Computer, activate and prepare to embark.”
“As you command, K7.” The fighters launched, hurling at break neck speeds into space.

Khendon’s craft boards the nearly finished Erebus hull, in a makeshift hangar. “Welcome, Sir, to the ECC Art of War, or what shall soon be the ECC Art of War. Currently the hull and Enigmas are complete. We shall be finishing the rest shortly, but the new calibrations for the cloaking generator and stealth armor will take some time… we hope to have them done by the 18th… “
“Good, good, I’m going to the command deck to aid the crew in configuring the main battle computer… see to it that my two aids here get quarters and a meal.”
“Aye, Sir.”

Mark let out a bored sigh. He gazed blankly out into the empty void of space, letting his mind become wrapped in the stars, his very soul engulfed by the blankness of space. It had been several days, almost three weeks, since he had set off to patrol the perimeter of the Kyrin system, to protect Kyrin V's shipyards from falling under siege. He knew as well as Khendon did that if a hostile faction were to discover the Erebus' construction and destroy it, the Guild would have wasted billions. If it were stolen, it could spell certain doom for the new faction.

"Captian's log, day 16, time oh-four-hundred hours. Things are going slow, as expected. Kyrin is hard to find, it is in the deep outer rim, far from any of the known systems. Unfortunately, the home system to the Vong is not very far away, a day's travel, maybe two through hyperspace. Thank the Guardians they never found it. Guess they're not the exploratory type. Well, all I can say about this mission so far is 'Snore.' We haven't seen nor heard any sign of a threat since we started."

"The crew and I just went through another sleepless night of long-range sensor scans. We're almost finishing up with sector Gamma. Its been a few days since we got here, got settled in. This is one of the more boring sectors, a great part of it doesn't even have a good view of stars. Its just a lot of nothing. Sector Zeta was fantastic, though. It's farthest from the sun, and has a fascinating buildup of crystal-like formations, we assume out of frozen rock, dust, and even water particles. When the brief hours of weak sunlight come every several days, the crystals sparkle in an amusing and fascinating way. Definitely worth capturing on holo and selling to a company to market on greeting cards. I'm glad we left scanners in the other sectors so we don't have to make round-trips."

"Its pretty lonely out here. The crew has proven to be able to hold a conversation, but there's nothing like chatting with a close friend to pass the time. People like Khendon and Dyne, and who knows when I've last seen Trinity. Luckily I'm told we're heading out in a few hours, to our last few sectors. Unfortunately, these are the sectors that will be, if not the longest, the most grueling. Sectors Delta, Beta, and the infamous sector Zero. Zero will be, by far, the most frustrating. Even the best sensors have trouble with that sector, luckily we won't have to be there long. Its a small sector, the smallest in the system. Then in Delta, we'll have to stand on full guard. That sector is closest in proximity to the Vong system, and who knows when they may try to sneak in under our noses. Mark Fenix signing out."

The voice recorder shut down. He took the file, along with recorded sector status, and sent it all back to Kyrin. Khendon should get it and prove that there's nothing wrong with the areas. Maybe he'll give Mark a break, and he could get out of this hellhole. No, Khendon liked to play things safe, he can't take any chances with his precious Erebus. Mark left his personal quarters and mde his way to the bridge of the ship.

Xavier Flarenight
Jun 25th, 2001, 11:36:02 PM
(Being deployed from Kyrin, Xavier was with his Stormfist squadron, scanning the sectors nearby Kyrin to make sure of there were no foul signs. The Executioners were in good shape and still were on full alert just incase it was needed. There was no activity and he had just sent the recent log record back to Kyrin to let Khendon know that there was no signs of enemies around. He was aware of the Vong being nearby, but they hadnt located Kyrin, which was a rather good thing. Xavier just kicked back in his squad leader position, getting extremely bored with the dull situation as there was no action. Even though it could be bad, he still craved starfighter battles now and then. From the way things were, he didnt think there would be any type of activity like that here. It was like a place no one would want to be in, but Khendon wanted to keep away from eyes as much as he could. Xavier understood that and nodded to that thought. Looking at his sensors, nothing seemed to have shown up on the targeting computer. He had experience in the past for spacefighter battles, plus simulators. Looking outside his cockpit for awhile, he decided to contact the other men in his squadron. Xavier activated the commlink frequency between him and his ships. There was a slight interference before he started to speak.)

"This is Stormfist squad leader Xavier speaking."

"There hasnt been any signs of activity at the border sectors for Kyrin, but I still want you guys to keep your shields up and no slacking off. Also, Stormfist 9, 10, 11, and 12 I want you 4 to watch the Prophet closely. It is a specialzed ship, need it protected fully."

"Xavier out."

(A few transmissions of agreement came in through his onboard system from his wingmen. Xavier looked back at his targeting computer as there still were no signs of any problems. He looked on at the vastness of space from under his mask. The squad just finished the check on the Alpha sector and they moved on to sector Beta. After this sector was over, he had to send another sector report back to Kyrin. The squadron continued on into the sector, while monitoring everything nearby. Their shields and weapons systems were activated anyhow. Xavier still had an uneasy feeling that something was about to happen in the cold and dark shadows of space ahead of them. Though, there hadnt been anything wrong this whole time, so there shouldnt be anything wrong now. He just shruged off the feeling for the time being. The dim light in space went through his mask and made his eyes glisten slightly while flying along. So far it seemed he would return back to Kyrin with nothing significant to report. Xavier also knew that Mark was sector patroling as well and wondered if they had the same results as his squadron. Although, if something came up he was sure Mark would contact him and vice versa.)

"Captain! Can I get a report?" Mark called out to the man commanding the ImpStar. Captain Abrutyn raised his head from overlooking a sensor scan and faced Mark, giving him a salute. Mark gave him a brief salute back.
"Cap, I told you, you don't need to be so formal. I'm not an officer of the Guild navy, just an agent of sorts. Of course, I'm in charge of this operation, but you're the ranking officer on this ship."
"Forgive me sir. Old habits die hard. Back in the Empire, you didn't salute, you were most likely shot." The man turned his direction to an overhead monitor.
"As you can see, all is well. We've set up a few sensor buoys to montor the sector while we're away at the next one. We'll be prepping for a cross-system jump very shortly. It should take approximately oh-five hundred hours."

"Thats great. Now maybe everyone can get some sleep around here. Rest up everyone, if I'm needed, you can find me in my quarters."
_____________________________________________

On his way back to his room, he was intercepted by an officer on the Star Destroyer. He was a young man from the communications area. He seemed a bit shaky, as if he weren't used to speaking to upper ranks. Definitely new at the job.
"Excuse me, sir? I have a datapad here for you. Its an encrypted message from another Guild member. We were told to bring it directly to you, and that you would know how to decrypt it." He handed the pad over and saluted.
Mark took the pad and smiled.
"Thank you, uh..."
"Lieutenant Barker, sir. Todd Barker."
"Oh." Mark started over again. "Thank you, Lieutenant. You did the right thing by bringing it to me. This could be very urgent, and having it wait would not be the wisest thing."
The young officer nodded and made his way off down to the communitcations sector.

Mark chuckled. Of course this was not urgent at all. This was a code in which the agents used to communicate with each other. He easily decrypted it, and found it was a message from another member, Xavier. Although he had only briefly met Xavier before, so he wasn't quite sure of how he worked, but if Khendon let him on the "crew" he had to have talent. The message was simple: he was simpy double checking the perimeters with a smaller envoy. Mark settled down in a chair and began on his response.

"Xavier, don't bother with the perimeters, we have sensor buoys, we know everything that goes on. I do need to ask you a favor, though. Can you get your squad and the ship over to Sector Delta? We will be there before you will, guaranteed, but this way we'll have as much help as we need. Delta, in case you didn't know, is on the verge of Vong territory. Just thought you'd like to help, I'm sure you're as bored as I am. Later." Mark sent the message out and leaned back in his chair. He closed his eyes and went into a medative trance.

Xavier Flarenight

"I copy that Mark, we will be there soon."

(Xavier switched his frequency over to the ship and his squad.)

"This is Stormfist leader speaking. We got new orders. The squad is supposed to rendevous with our other force over at sector Delta ASAP."

Stormfist 5 - Max Tingel - "Sir, why are we going over to Delta? Isnt that near Vong territory, I thought the Vong didnt know of our presence."

"Thats true Max, but we still can never be too cautious. For all we know, those Vong probably already know of us being at Kyrin."

Stormist 7 - Stinger Flac - "Yeah Max, we are on alert almost all the time, just to make sure we dont get caught off guard. Im sure Mark has his reasons to ask us to come over there. We also know what those reasons are."

"Ok men, revert 1/3 laser power to the throttle and full speed to Sector Delta. Once we arrive there, set your lasers back to normal, make sure to have full hull shield coverage."

(The squad along with the ship headed off to Sector Delta, hopefully meeting up with the other Kyrin force soon.)

Mark Fenix
Jun 27th, 2001, 07:56:13 PM
Mark could feel the small, almost unnoticeable tug at the ship which signaled the exit from hyperspace. He arose from his seat and glanced down at his watch. The correct time had passed, it was now around 9:00 AM standard time, five hours from when the Destroyer departed. But with the trance, it felt like he had barely shut his eyes for a second. And he felt refreshed, as if he had slept for days. He recharged his energy through the Force by shutting his mind out to the outside world. Everything that went on was nothing to him, his subconciousness just tapped into his Force reservoir and used it to recharge himself, just as he would his ring to a battery, if he had one.
"Man, I've gotta use that more often." He made his way out of the room back to the bridge. It was fairly unoccupied, save a few officers on monitor duty. He went up to an officer who had taken command of the bridge while Captain Abrutyn had retired in his quarters.

"Report. What's new?"
The startled officer looked up. He nodded in the direction , and waved him over to the nearest monitors. Mark angled his necak and took a look.
"We're getting nothing but static, Sir. Our scanners can't do a thing out here."
"Figures," Mark said as he stroked his chin. "We must be too close to Zero sector, the 'Dead Zone.' I had hoped we could stay farther out into Delta, at least then we wouldn't have to put up with this. I'll be back in a few minutes, I'm going out to clear up the sensors."

The officer looked shocked. He tilted his head and cocked and eyebrow. "You... You're going to do what?!?"
Mark grinned. He always got great joy at the shock of people knowing he can fly. "You'll see. Just look out the window."
__________________________________________________ __

Flying thorugh space was Mark's favorite part of having the ring. It had been a long time, too long, since he was free to fly through space. In space, there is no law, no reason. Gravity isn't a problem, up and down don't exist. Just the whole sense of being in space without and protective equipment and flying on your own was enough of an excitement, no matter how many times you've done it, it never gets tiring. It is a feeling of pure freedom, and Mark embraced it.

After a few minutes, he realized it was time to stop goofing off and begin to work. He thought for a minute, then decided on what to do. He ring formed a massize space station type of object, which was essentially a massive radar with an elegant appearance. It would send fields of low-impact energy across space, allowing objects within the energy field to be registered on the satellite. The information was then beamed directly to the computers of the Star Destroyer and both NebBIIs.

"Sir, we have an group of TIE Executioners arriving, all with Guild markings. Should I give them clearance?"

"Of course you should, I ordered them here. Open up a communications link to their flight leader," Mark ordered. He waited a moment, then heard it click in his mind. That was the sound of the commlink connecting, but the transmissions were being recieved in his mind. Talk about a useful gadget.

"Xavier, you there? Long time no see!"

Xavier Flarenight
Jul 1st, 2001, 04:42:16 PM
"Sorry for the delay in getting here."

(Having his frequency open to Mark's command, he replied to him promptly after being given clearance.)

"That it has Mark, its nice to talk again after awhile. So, whats the report in this sector, anything interesting yet?"

(They would have plently of time later to converse, right now both men knew it was buisness for them. Even though it was practically dead in Delta, and Xavier knew it, they still had to keep on their toes. )

Khendon S
Jul 13th, 2001, 08:23:06 PM
Khendon pushes several buttons on a data pad, reviewing the current status on the Erebus project and the recon. squadrons patrolling all nearby sectors. He notices an unusual event, a Dreadnaught being attacked by a UIV, unidentified vessel. He shakes his head, noting to send a larger task force to aid the Dreadnaught in patrolling the sector.

Several things had happened recently, the Vong and Via have had war declared upon them by GMA, therefore Khendon no longer had to worry about Vong attacks into Guild space, or Via, but they weren’t that foolish.

One division of the Guild First Fleet had been moved to help GMA in ridding the galaxy of the plague known as the Via and Vong, being used as interdiction forces. Khendon shook his head, smiling. I wonder when Mark will get back from his patrol. thought Khendon.

***

Mark was slightly tired, waking from a great nights sleep, even though you really couldn’t tell night from day in the vastness of space. Mark cracked his neck, smiling and getting out of bed. As he walked over to the bathroom to pour himself a glass of water, the ISD he was on shuttered. A message for general quarters was announced over the loud speaker and Mark, still in PJs, rushed out of his room to the bridge.

As Mark stared out the main view port, a group of Neb B frigates and assorted other craft began to fire ion bolts at his ship!

Mark Fenix
Jul 16th, 2001, 01:30:55 PM
The ship shook, trying to stay up Mark grabbed onto the side of a nav monitor for support. He called into a comm unit alerting the whole ship.

"All fighters, stand ready for launch. I want every TIE off the deck in two minutes! Move, now!" He switched channels on his comm unit and contacted Xavier.

"Hey, Xav, I need you to supervise what's going on. You're in charge until I get out there. Figure out what's going on, order a portion of the Executioners to set their RMB's to Ion charge." He began to sprint out the door, his clothes changing as he ran. Instead of the typical TIE fighter pilot uniform it was something a little more simple. Black shirt, black pants, black boots, black gloves, and black jacket. He didn't need the life support, he could go out on his own. He reached the main hangar quite quickly, and began climbing the ladder into his reserved Executioner...

Khendon stared out into space through a view port on the Super Star Destroyer Apparition. The ship was the average length for a SSD, but compared to the Erebus being constructed in Kyrin V’s orbit, it was a mere child, a toy to be played with. As Khendon watched on, he noticed that a large percentage of the ship was done. The last of the engines were being installed, two of the Enigmas had been installed, but still needed calibration. The upper areas of the craft were covered by scaffolding, the bridge hadn’t even been completed yet.

(Receiving Mark's orders, Xavier called his Black Thorn squadron up to line up behind him in a arrow head formation. He could spot some approaching forces quite a few clicks away, but they were closing in quick at their location. The fighters increased their throttle, heading towards the pirate breach in the sector. The afterburners were activated, as the squad approached max speeds. Locking onto their forces Xavier noticed that they had a formidable amount of Z-95 Headhunters. The opposing forces were being deployed from 3 differently located Nebulon-B Frigates. A grin appeared over Xavier's face under his mask. He got onto a comm-link to his men and waited as the static lifted, the Black Thorns zeroed in on the forces.)

"Ok guys, I want those Nebulon B's disabled, so no attacking them until we wipe out their Headhunters. Switch to ion gattlings when going after the Neb's. Everything flying at us is fair game except the Frigates. Trash them."

(A few "Hell yeah's!" came through the comm-link as a response to Xavier's orders. He looked down as his shields were at 100 percent. Switching to laser gattlings, Xavier locked onto the oncoming Z-95's. A red alert came on as they were also under fire from the enemy. The modified TIE Executioners unloaded a barage of laser fire within no time. The lasers streaked across the vastness of space, slamming into the sides of Z-95's. A few of the Headhunters exploded as the Black Thorn's split up and engaged the pirate forces in a space fighter battle. The flash of explosions could be seen miles away as they occured every few minutes. His elite squadron under the command of Khendon was vaporizing the Headhunter rookies one by one. The Black Thorn squadron had some of the best fighters around. Quickly, debris started to appear around the area as the Neb Frigates awaited in the distance. Xavier had to quickly get to them so they didnt retreat to hyperspace jumpoints. They were holding their own while awaiting for Mark to arrive in the area. Xavier locked onto a target and began to engage it.)

"Got to capture those Nebulon-B Frigates, come on baby just get between the crosshairs."

"Xavier! Mark here! There is another group of NebB's and a few smaller pirate ships, I'll take a few squads over to intercept th- good God! They've got an ImpStar! Stolen, obviously, and not fully functional, but its still a problem. They're releasing fighters, give me a minute to identify them." He chuckled to himself.
"Uglies. The ImpStar is releasing Uglies!!! They have a few squads of Headhunters as well, and wait, I think I can see a few TIEs. Oh, hold on, they're more prepared than I thought. The NebB's were carrying squads of Clutches and just they just launched. You guys draw the enemy away from our ships and back to theirs. Go for their NebB's. The pirates will try to save their ships. Believe me, they're pirates, its all they have."

The dual fire from his laser gatlings tore through an oncoming TIE fighter. He rolled right and turned hard up, blasting an Ugly. A particularly ugly Ugly, at that. It was as if they mixed a TIE fighter with an X-Wing, but a rotating Ion cannon on the top like a Y-Wing would come equipped with.

Mark rolled his Executioner through hordes of enemy craft. He was aiming for the TIE D's the NebB's carried, they were the biggest problem, and most exciting challenge. A blue streak of Ion bolt rocketed past him. Before he could react, a second struck his TIE Executioner on the hull in the back. Ripples of energy streaked across the TIE, but minimal damage was aquired during the shot. 27% shield loss, that was fine, for now. They'd recharge in a few moments, anyway.

(He was already on a comm-link to his men, after listening to Mark's new orders. Xavier just had vaporized another Headhunter before clearing around through the blaze and back into the action ahead of him. The blaze from the explosion reflected onto his pilot mask. He looked out his cockpit to see the "Uglies" as Mark put it and their own Guild forces go back and forth in laser fire.)

"You heard the man! I want all ships to direct their attention to the Neb's. Destroy your currently engaged target and increase to full throttle at the pirate ships. Try and draw some of their space fighters with us as well. We will destroy them as we get closer to the Neb's. Make sure you switch to Ion gattlings, I dont want a scratch on those Frigates men. I want Stormfist 2 through 6 to follow me in disabling the Frigates. The rest of the squad can have some fun with the spacefighters."

(Xavier looked down at his shield gauge to see he was at 79 percent and rising. The automatic shield regenerator system was simply awesome. He was sure they had taken down a dozen or more Headhunters in no time. He was moving the yoke in strategic ways, avoiding the laser fire from behind as the pirate space fighters trailed the Black Thorns. Xavier could see the enemy laser fire streak over his hull and some scattered shots nic the shields. The squad was now pushing unbelieveable speeds with the afterburners on. They neared the Neb's quickly, switching to his Ion gattlings he moved his finger over the firing button. Xavier was ready to spew fire all across the Nebulon-B Frigate. It seemed that they were ready to retreat if something happened. The BT's had to take them out and confenscate the ships before that happened.)

Khendon was in a zero g suit, inside the hull of the Erebus, looking at the technicians as they fooled around with wiring. “How long until the finished decks have artificial gravity and atmosphere?”

“A couple seconds.” Just as the man said this Khendon fell to the ground, as did the other technicians and engineers who were floating when the gravity generator kicked in. Over the comm. several cheers could be heard and Khendon smiled.

“Great job guys!” said Khendon enthusiastically. “Status on the ship?”

“All generators activated, engines installed and have been test fired. Shield generators are being installed now, three Enigmas have been installed, all weapon systems on the finished hull area are working, Hyperdrive still needs to be installed, central computers along with routers, network systems, monitors, firewalls, have to be installed and the bios tweaked for the ship. The bridge is going to be Guild class and still needs its computer systems, scanner uplinks, holoprojectors, etc. The communication equipment has been installed, cloak generator, barracks have been installed. So I’d say about eighty percent done.”

“Great job!” said Khendon, saluting the technicians and following them towards the command deck.

(Xavier and the others zeroed in on the Nebulon-B Frigate, unleashing several blue Ion blasts. They streaked across and hit the mid-section of the Frigate, the designated weakness of the ship. He looked down at his scanner and targeting computer to see that its shields and ships systems were being hampered and a rather fast rate. The Neb retaliated with several laser blasts of its own, the TIE's absorbed the hits in their shields before speeding ahead and coming around for another array of fire. His other half of the squad started to dispatch the Uglies and Z-95 Headhunters. Before soon a rainbow of green, blue, orange, and red laser blasts filled the area. The Black Thorns were simply unstoppable by this measely pirate force.)

(He came around in a loop, with the five wingmen and unleashed several more ion blasts. The Nebulon lost its shields easily and just one a few more rounds would turn the ship into a dud for them to capture. Getting some clicks away from the ship, Xavier looped around as the TIE's kept on attacking like vulture's on a dead carcass. Moving his finger over the fire button, he narrowed his eyes and let loose another round of Ion blasts. His targeting computer and scanner reported that the Nebulon-B Frigate was successfully disabled. He grinned and looked around, to see the Uglies and Headhunters dispatched by his other wingmen. Xavier called his men back into formation before contacting the bridge of their command ship.)

"Mark, we have successfully disabled one of the Frigates and have vaporized their spacefighter support. We will proceed on to the other two Nebulon-B's before they escape into hyperspace."

(He switched the frequency over to his squadron, to check up on their status.)

"Whats the status of your ships men?"

(The damage was kept to a minimal, a few hyperdrive systems and targeting computers had malfunctioned from pirate attack but were lockdown for repair.)

"Ok guys, split up in half and target the two Neb's remaining. I want them out at the sametime or one of them will escape."

(He looked down at his shield gauge, it was at 47 percent and slowly regenerating. Hitting his throttle to max, Xavier and his squad went off at the other Neb Frigates. He was determined to take them out then going to the pirate reinforcements.)

Khendon nodded as he looped upon the brilliant black leviathan that he had grown in the space high above Kyrin V. It had taken hundreds of days, countless lives, and a massive protecting fleet, but it was done. Khendon had spent countless hours upon the massive creation, he had spent billions of credits, and devoted several worlds and both of his companies, but it was done. Hell’s doors now swung wide open in front of the beast, and it fired the first test shot of its weapon.

A brilliant blue energy shot from Enigma shaft one, and then two, and on until it reached the last one. The lines of energy collided with a nearly planet sized asteroid, incinerating it, leaving no trace, and continuing on, devouring all in the blaze’s path, without a second thought. This was the day, the day that Erebus came back from the afterlife, the day he would start his takeover, his takeover of the world.

Mark Fenix

Mark's Executioner sped through the squads of pieced-together salvaged fighters the pirates used, blasting away at whatever stood in his path. He rolled to his left to avoid incoming fire from an A-Wing. Or at least what looked like an A-Wing. He released a few blasts of ion energy from his gatlings, and the fighter came to a hault and just floated in the direction it had been heading.

Fenix glanced down at his scanners. The Star Destroyer was in range, and right below him. It hadn't noticed his coming, but it caught sight of his arrival. He had just begun to move when it opened fire, a barrage of green streaks lit up the air, and laser bolts zipped past Fenix's Executioner into the emptiness of space. A few of his own, maybe nine fighters, and multiple pirate fighters were blown into non-existence by the hail of laser fire.

"All fighters, come in! Move in on the pirate SD, avoiding fire. There's an entire Wing out here, if we hadn't lost those few, we'd have 72. First and Second squads, follow me in. We're going to take out the ImpStar ourselves. I want third, fourth, and fifth to take out the Neb-Bs, and be careful! Sixth squad, give us cover from oncoming fighters, I see you still have all 12 squad members, correct?"
"Yes, sir!" the 06 leader replied. "06th Squad, scatter around the Star destroyer, and watch for fighters."
"Roger that, Commander Fenix!" the 02nd Squad leader sounded in.
"We're with you, just lead the way," replied the 03rd Squad leader.

The several Executioners rolled in between turbolaser fire, trying to keep themselves alive while still advancing on the target, the space between them and the lumbering Star Destroyer was closing in fast. On Mark's order, the first three squads branched off and scattered towards the rear of the ship. They were near the middle of the ship when the three squads branched off in different directions. The first squad headed straight towards the bridge, to disable the deflector shield generators. The second squad scattered to destroy the turbolaser and ion batteries, and the third went around to the side of the ship to disable the cannon targeting computers.
"Here we go..."
