::Saphire held the controls of the modified Tie Fighter with her partner for this particular assignment beside her. MnT was staring at the screen, but saphire only paused to look for a second as the planet came into veiw. A green planet with what seemed like white flacks on it. it must be cold down there.
She nudged MnT to attention and smiled::

It's time my friend.

*Fascinated by the controls of the ship, as MnT knew nothing of them, he had been in a deep meditation when Saph had poked him in the eye, causing him to suddenly startle into awareness..*

..Nani.. wha.. What is it..?

*As Saph nodded towards the monitor, MnT looked up, and instantly realized why he had been disturbed.. They were there..*

.. Well... I supposse we should get ready, ne..?

OOC: I'd say that a TIE has about a loosely-packed snowball's chance in hell of making it to Yavin <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/ohwell.gif ALT=":\"> Probably not the best place to go spelunking

OOC: thats the point anbira, lets say saph will be gettign as new ship and needs a reason to get rid of the old. Great timing for pointing it out too, lol.

IC: saph fingered the controls, she'd had this ship for yonks, no one touched it or fixed without her permission and her overseeing it. No one even really had the chance to fix it anyway, she always did.
Checking the indicator she sighed, somethiugn was wrong with the ship, she'd have to fix it as soon as she got onto solid ground.
She looked at MnT again and sighed. He better not touch any of the buttons, this ship was unstable already and she didnt have any other ship. This bucket of bolts and flying power was good for it's design, but not good enough to withstand too much pressure. She was already pushing it anyway::

::The planet looked beautiful by the looks of it at this distance, but what was more beautiful was what she and MnT had been sent to find. No, the object would be beyond beautiful.

*As MnT sat watching the monitor, he noticed Saph look over and sigh.. Watching her fight to keep the ship under control, he figured out what she was sighing about, and chuckled lightly..*

.. Don't worry... I'll not touch a thing.. I'd be too afraid of getting a stroke of bad luck and correctly punching in the self destruct..

::Saphire frowns in concentration and hears the dreaded noise of the fuel and smoke::

Miryan, get ready to jump. Open the door and when i say go, jump.

::The ship is near to the ground and Saphire jumps out after MnT as the ship crashlands into the ground.
The ship looks beyond repair and after a close inspection it is positively unrepairable. saphire looked depressed at seeing her prize ship ruined. She shouldnt have flown it here, even her common sense had told her not to. She should have listened::

Well, there is nothign we can do. Do you have the map? ::Saphire asks MnT after long silence::

*Without word, MnT reached into his trenchcoat, retrieving the map from the pocket he'd stashed it in, just before exiting the ship. He handed it to Lady Sapphire, then turned his gaze upon the downed craft..*

... Looks like I'll be doing some studying up on the mechanics of spacecraft, and how to repair them, when I get back.. I feel helpless here, not knowing what to do about this..

*His eyes slowly traced upwards, to the smoke that was pouring up into the otherwise beautiful sky... It seemed to confine itself to the single pillar, not expanding much at all, until it reached a certain height, and just seemed to dissapear.. as if it were trying to do as little damage to the air as possible.. He couldn't place how or why, but the sight, and the thought, sat well inside him..*

... Lady Sapphire, As much as it may not seem likely right now, I have a good feeling about this expedition..

::smiles softly, merely nodding and thinks 'at least one of us has a good feeling'::

It's ok Miryan, it's only a ship. I can get a new one.
::Somehow her words seem empty but she looks at MnT anyway and smiles at him with a touch of her old humour::

Hey, as they always say, things can get a lot worse. be glad with what we've got.

::Looking at the map in MnT's hands she nodds::

See the temple over there? thats the start. Have you got a flash light or anything?

Miryan no Trunks
Apr 12th, 2001, 05:22:36 AM
*Holding up one of his hands, MnT closed his eyes, and began absorbing Ki energy from the planet, and charging it into his hand. Quickly, his hand began to glow with a purplish hue that cast a glow over the surrounding area.. As it was still dark out, it was hard to see how much light was radiating from his hand, but he knew it would be more than sufficient for the temple..*

.. As for your ship, Lady Sapphire, you may be able to get a new one once we get back, but that does not save us being able to Get back.. ne..? I supposse we should worry about that when we have to though..

*Looking over to the temple, MnT fell stunned to the magnificance of it.. It appeared to be a large gothic Citadel.. 20 foot high wooden doors surrounded by a large stone arch. Incredible gargoyles were carved into walls that must have been 5 feet thick, and huge stained-glass murals, depicting scenes that were unrecognizable due to the ages, rested all over the walls. He look of wonder quickly faded to one of caution, as a huge wave of dark energy swept into, through, and past him. It wasn't the dark energy that naturally resided with him and his fellow sith, but instead something much worse.. he couldn't place it, as he'd never felt anything like it before.. He did feel that it was a warning however... He turned to Sapphire and spoke..*

.. Did you feel that.?

Saphire nodds slowly, using her warrior traiend ear to hear for any noises. She hears a russle in the right corner of the far side of the room and frowns::

It's an evil unlike Ive ever felt. and it's comign from there. I dont think we are alone somehow.

::Saphire gets out her blade and looks around once more, cautiously making one step on the rough stone ground beneath her, crunching an old piece of rock.
Dust filled the place she was watching as somethign rushed behind them. Sasphire turned aroiund on instinct and looked at MnT::

What do you think? see or what it is or see if we can find an entrance?
::her eyes dance with danger but also warning::

OOC: Umm, we're still outside the Citadel ¡^_^

IC: ... Good... This should be interesting...

*As the bushes behind them kicked about noisily in motion, MnT turned almost synchronously(?) with Saph, and turned to face her with equal timing..*

... Well, I imagine the obvious approach would be to go through the gates... But I Am curious as to our stalker.. Mayhaps we should pay it a visit first..?

*At the end of his sentance, MnT's hand near-instinctively went up to grasp the the handle of his broadsword, but instead, he opted for his two sabers..*

... If whatever guards this place truly is evil, I wish not to risk damaging my blade by it...

*Double-checking, he quickly flipped on and off both sabers, making sure they were in perfect working order.. Despite the lack of a reason they wouldn't be.. He then rehooked Death, and reached into an inside pocket, extracting the 3rd saber he had recently created, in case Life or Death were disabled or lost. He thumbed it on as well, the silver beam quickly expanding from the end of the saber, with the characteristic snap-hiss.. He replaced it, and took Death into hand again..*

... Shall we..?

::Saphire smiles at her friend and lights up dragons pride, the firelike saber lighting up, flickering like a flame inside the perfectly shaped beam. She makes the saber a bit shorter and turns it off again as she hears a noise.
She motions for MnT to follow her and from the darkness of the temples gate spies a lizard like humanoid::

::Her smile dissapears as she concentrates on the darkl side of the force, getting ready for a battle to enter the temple. She heard trunks depart to the bushes behind her and she looked at the creature in the eye as it relized she was there::

Miryan, double attack.

::She looked at the creature now in broad daylight.
It was around three foot tall but made up for its height by its claws and sharp looking eyes. it had blue scales, and a nasty looking tale with a long sword-like end. From the looks of it, it looked pretty fast::

::She got out her saber again and activated it and grinned wildly, green eyes dancing::

*MnT felt the words penetrate his mind via the force, and immediately knew what they meant..*

" ... Double-team... absolutely, mayhaps we could have some fun with our quarry first..?"

*As he spoke telepathically to Lady Sapphire, MnT's audible silence paid off. He found the creature that had rustled the bushes. It was around 4 feet tall, a quadraped with an insect-like exoskeleton. There were two yellowish lumps sticking out of it's back that glistened wetly. They seemed more like a protective casing for something, judging by the dark lines that were moving around beneath them. It's head was on the other side of the creature's body, seemingly waiting for an opportunity to jump out from behind the bushes and attack them. it would have worked, provided they had still been where they were.*

" ... Lady Sapphire, I've never seen a creature like this before... Perhaps you'll be able to help me figure out what it is, by it's carcass in a minute.."

*MnT rehooked both sabers, knowing that the snap-hiss would surely alarm his opponent, and opted for hand-to-hand instead. The beast looked fast, and MnT could always use speed training...*

::saphire looks at the blue creature in the eye, noticing its every move. It's eyes looking at her just as carefully.
She notices the way it sharpens it's claws as the claws go in and out of the leathery skin. It's feet ever so slightly shifting, and it's posture more alert. Saphire smiled as she clicked her fingers. It's eyes shifted her hands way in a second.
So it had good instincs...... how about it's intelligence?
She looked at it again more closely as it stopped moving, obviously ready for attack. She smiles wider as she sees not very much intelligence in its bulging red eyes::

::It puts on sudden speed and knocks her to the ground. She flips up and grabs its arm as it scrathce sher arm, drawing blod. She smiles and twists its arm, breaking its arm painfully::

*Feeling out for the creature's mind telepathically, he quickly came to the conclusion that it had little more intelligence than natural instinct, not only by the small amount of psychic-static he found, but also by the fact that it didn't even notice him probing it's mind.. *

" ... Boo..."

*The noise in the creature's head caught it off guard, and it began frantically dodging around, searching for the cause. Merely a moment had passed before the beast had turned and noticed him. It's head seemed to be hidden under it's shell, 3 glowing eyes peering at him in triangular shape, just above a large set of mandible-jaws that protruded a foot or so from the shadowey hole. It suddenly burst forwards, it's nimble legs covering the distance between the two rather quickly. MnT brought himself into a defensive position, figuring that the creature had little chance if the jaws were it's only real offense. A moment later, he was proven wrong.*

*The two pods on it's back split open with a sickeningly wet noise, and two long tentacles began sliding out. As MnT watched, the ends of said tentacles sprouted into large barbed spikes. This would indeed be a problem..*

ooc: too tired to post an attack or anything right now, post yours again if you want, and I'll continue afterwards.

::Saphire rolls away as the creature attacks her again, its claws flashing in the sunlight. She rolls behind it, and as she gets up grabs its legs and trips it over::

:;The creature gets up with pure speed and saphire has to use all her speed skill to grab its arm and direct it into the right direction for the double attack::

*Suddenly, the sound of Sapphire's voice distracting the beast, it started to run towards her.. Needless to say, this was quite the annoyance, and MnT took off after it..*

... Dammit! Stay still...!

*He reached forwards as he neared, and grabbed a hold of it's tentacles.. Naturally, the creature tried to veer to the side to get away, but MnT held fast.. He planted his feet to the ground, and used the creature's momentum against it, as he twisted his body around, the thing being lifted off the ground somewhat, before landing about 6 feet to the right of where it had been.. Then it was off again.*

*MnT looked over his shoulder, to where Sapphire had her foe, and applied a large burst of energy to his throw, tossing the beast towards hers.. With any luck, the blue one would take this as an attack, and the two would face off against each other..*

OOC: Sorry, didn't feel like really fighting the bugger ¡^_^

::The Citedals doors shined in the sun reflectiong from inbetween the leaves of the trees and Sa[h watche din interest as bluey attacked MnT's monster. She laughed but wasted no time in leaving. Onece one monster won, it'd be after them again. Looking at MnT she nodded and stepped up to the doorway, grabbing the heavy stone handle attatched onto the fancily decorated wooden-like dooor. Yet the door wasnt wooden, it felt like ti and looked liek it, but it was made of stronger materials and she had to use her strength plus MnT's to open the doorway::

::She entered the citedal, her footstep echoing the empty large space, many pillers and statues around the large halllike stone building. Her eyes switched to the dark corners, her ears keenly fixed to hear any threatenign sounds. Her whole body in tune with the surrounding area. She gave her invisabel red wings a slight flap tensly and relaxed slightly. She kept her senses up as she moved around, but looked entirely relaxed now::

::She looked aroudn for any visible doors and found none. Silently walking towards the closest wall she pressed herself against it, making small steps to avoid any traps there may be hidden around.
She feels aroudn the wall with her hand very carefully, using her sense of sight smell and feel together in harmony as she seeks a chamber door::

::Feeling a slight dent in the wall she smiles slowly::

Miryan, come here VERY carefully. I found a potential chamber doorway.

We can only see cant we? I will be careful, dont worry. I've only got my life to lose, nothing special.

*Walking in, MnT felt the evil growing stronger, and closer... Looking back, he realized that the entrance was hidden behind what looks like a black fog..*

... Damn...

*He turned to the symbols, and was taken back slightly... They were in ancient Gaelic... The light was not good, but he could make out something about enhancing collective force to the strength of a diety..*

... Good enough for me..

Well, then let us go fellow sith!

*As MnT went to speak, he felt something take hold of his ankle, and begin to pull his leg into the room. Looking down quickly, he saw what was left of an arm, muscle and bone protruding through molding rotten flesh.. A thick scent of death was suddenly noticable in the room, like that of rotting fruit, but much stronger, and nauseatingly sweet...*

.. Zombie..!

*In a single fluid motion so fast it seemed he hadn't even done so, MnT unsheathed Damnation's Touch, and brought it quickly through the neck of the creature, black blood slowly oozing out of both sides for a few moments, then stopping.*

*As he looked out, MnT wiped off the blade, and resheathed it in favor of his two sabers..*

... Sapphire.. I believe it's in our best interest to get the fnck out of here...

*The darkness was now almost fully enveloping the room, and there was motion from all around just beyond it, shapes shadowed even against the black energy, sillhouettes of impossible things that could not be alive.. Demons..*

She feels something dig into her ankle and smells blood, looking down she finds a scratch and jumps into the door fram, landing on hard solid ground::

*He turned back to the wall, reaching out with his hand to trace along the symbols and writing.. Suddenly, before he could even register what he had touched, the floor gave out underneath the two...*

*MnT felt cobwebs reaching out at him, sticking to his flesh and clothing as he fell.. about 20 feet had passed, he figured, before they hit the tunnel.. a twisting slide of sorts, slick with.. something.. he could not tell what.. He held his hands to the sides to slow himself down, knowing that Sapphire was directly in front of him in the tunnel, and he didn't wish to collide with and injure her when they were finally let out of their descent.. whenever that would be....*

*Finally, after what seemed an eternity, but was in fact only a minute, MnT heard a large splash from down below, and felt a slight rush of relief wash over him.. At least they would not be hitting stone.. Then tunnel ended. He had little time to see where he was, before he hit the liquid, descending deep into it, and immediately began groping for the surface...*

:;Saphire gets sent swirlign down the tunnel and almost slides into the silky red liquid that smells like blood and reminded her distantly of all the people who might have been sacrificed in this temple. She paddles to a pole in the middle of the blood bath and reaches a place where it is possible to walk.
She moved slowly, the blood wrapping around her body like super-fine silk and her green eyes dart around the mystic looking gothic room. The flames casting a red look around the room as the light relfects from the blood bath::

::Long tall posts, made in the most careful of artistic and gothic-like ways seem to make the place forbodding, hightened by the silence, the dangerous silence::

::Her eyes wander to the many solid doors, shadows leap everywhere from the pillars on the walls, the flames waving to some invisable wind that seems to come from knowhere. She shivers but the frowns at herself not to be childish.
She looks aroudn for Miryan, again, hoping hes ok::

*He was going to drown...*

*Having searched out with the force, MnT realized that no matter how fast he swam, he could not make it to the surface in time... He thought he could only speculate as to how he'd gotten down so far, when he'd begun to feel the pull of the vacuum below.. Something was sucking down the liquid, a drain or something, which was constantly being fed from the tubes above...*

*Finally, he gave up.*

Miryan no Trunks
Jun 8th, 2001, 08:24:03 AM
*As his body descended slowly towards the drain, MnT's mind cleared of the panic that had been plaguing it when he first plunged in... What he found disgusted him to no end. Not only had he actually allowed himself to panic, but he had lost sight of that which seperated himself from most other species..*

*As Sapphire looked around, not noticing even a bubble of proof that MnT was alive, the blood a foot or two in front of her suddenly erupted upwards, showering her with the thick seemingly glowing liquid.. She wiped off her eyes, and looked upwards.. MnT hovered there, 10 feet or so from the surface, a purplish aura of energy surrounding him..*

*He took a moment to gather his breath, then floated down, to help his friend out of what he now recognized as blood.. It had strucken him odd at first, the way the orange and yellow light from the candellabra's cast their glow over it, making it shine with an eerie hue, looking almost silken in texture... *

*Having touched down, MnT looked around, apparantly unhindered by the extra weight the blood that now saturated his already heavy clothing was providing.. Taking the time to actually notice, he was awe-struck by the architecture.. The Citadel above seemed as interesting now as would a cardboard box to the owner of one of Escher's works..*

... In.... incredible........

*Suddenly, he snapped out of it, shaking his head to gain ground back on the task at hand.. Finding a way out.. Fortunately, the solution to that came rather quickly, as he spotted a tunnel off to the right..*

... Sapphire, I believe that's our only exit...... Shall we..?

::Saphire wiped blood off her red stained top, knowing it was hopeless to do so and nodded, just as awstruck. The place was a building of wonder, whoever made it had been a true artist and skilled architect. Finally she turned her attention to Miryan and smiled::

Yes, that would be a fine idea. As much as I love blood, I dont see any point in hanging around here.

::her footsteps left red stains on the ground and she sighed annoyed, she wouldnt be going undetected now. She would have to be extra careful::

Hmm..Can you provide some source of light?

::She smiled again as Miryan let out a ball of Ki, lightening the dark tunnel. She could see some of the ancient writing again, and the tunnel looked liek ti had gone forever, there were holes in the walls, possibly for knives that flew into a unsuspecting raiders side, and possible there would be a few trap doors on the ground and large swinging swords. Step by step and things would be fine::

Miryan no Trunks
Jun 19th, 2001, 02:19:57 AM
*MnT sighed as he looked down the corridor, searching out the entirety of it with the force..*

... Indeed, there's not a stone that is not trigger to a trap that would instantly kill us...

*He then closed his eyes, turned his head to face Sapphire, and then opened his eyes, not a neccesary gesture but a natural one nonetheless*

... If you're no problem with being carried in "piggy-back" I could fly us through the room, with likely no problem..

::Saphire groaned, that took all the fun out of it. yes she had to admit, her sense of fun was warped but she also saw sense in his suggestion. Why risk your neck when you dont have to? Besides she wasnt on her own this time, she had to think about the other person too::

Alright, I agree, but the swinging swords are going to be a problem area, be careful there. They move at any detection of movement in the air and the knives from the walls could be at any position, on the top of the wall, bottom of the wall or from the ceiling. Be careful friend.

::Saphire put her arms around his neck and allowed herself to be lifted. She had wings herself but she knew they were too large and were a risk to open up in such a small space::

On Yavin IV

Dawn was breaking.

The star of Yavin crept it’s way above the horizon, the light going from grey, to errie red, to yellow, to the full colours of another morning of the jungle moon of Yavin IV, the gas giant. The moon would have been called a planet if it was a regularly orbiting planet, but compared to the staggering size of it’s parent body, it was just a mid sized moon. It was in a barely charted part of the Outer Rim and would not have been more than a place for curious minds with it’s Massani Temples and uncharted jungles if it was not for one small historical act.

It was the place where the Rebel Alliance had been forced into action and one well aimed shot by a farm boy named Luke Skywalker had destroyed the first Death Star. Now alongside Endor, it was one of the two names that was synonymous of freedom and the fight against oppression the Rebellion had stood for. Yavin still rang in the air when being discussed the great events of the Galaxy, the beginning of the end for the Empire and Palpatine and embryo for the New Republic. It also was the plac the same farmboy, Luke Skywalker had restarted the order of the Jedi Knight, with himself now a Jedi Master at it’s head. Years ago the Order had left, leaving the planet once again empty, with only the odd visitor to interrupt the peace and quiet.

And on this dawn, a man strode from the place he had slept the night before, dressed in the robes of a Jedi, with a backpack slung over one shoulder, a long thinnish wrapped object on the other. On his hip was slung a light sabre, twice as long as normal, with a sword like shearing guard halfway down the handle. His face was careworn and sunburnt, his gait long and careful . Most of the galaxy had seen this face on holoviews and had heard of his exploits. It was a face that some revered, others hated. It was the face that froze evil doers with fear and gave hope to the lost.

It was the face of the Jedi Master “Darth” Turbogeek, leader of the Jedi Order, Warlord of the Republic, a Senator when he chose to be and as Jedi Boricua put it, regular badass. Turbogeek was probably the foremost Jedi Warrior seen alive, maybe even going back to the days of the Old Republic and the original Jedi Order, with powers that matched or exceeded every Jedi recorded except for a handful. His face and body wore the scars of countless fights with Dark Siders, battles he had almost always been the victor. He had bought back into knowledge powers that were known by only a few Jedi at any time and he was the undisputed head of the Jedi Council.

Yet, even all that hadn’t guarded him for events recently. Inside he was a mess. He had seen the loss of his Padawan, murdered and her last confession. He had been haunted by a datapad left behind.

And now he had basically left the Jedi for good.

The light dew on the grasses wet the sides of his boots as he continued on to the place he had marked out as the place he needed to go. In his mind, he had found it necessary to focus on something to do or face being overwhelmed by the emotions that were whirling through his head. And that this was the focus. The end to a project to that had taken years of research, a full year of preparation and patience, a project that would see him build a link to the past and also bring forth the idea he had, the second link to be forged.

The first was the “flame Blade” sabre, the Athona, the one at his hip. He had discovered the Force powers to make it when he had repaired the archaic sabre after a fight with Darth Grendell, imbibed it and seen them work on the clone of Master Yoghurt to explosive and stunning effect. A Sabre built partially from the Force, one that would even react to the touch of someone not meant to wield it and destroy them. A blade that could spring alight and even be utilised as a whip of flame if the wielder knew how to control fire by the Force. Today, he would finish forging it’s twin.

Months ago, after being given the original Athona by Master Yoghurt, he had uncovered it’s history in the Book of Knowledge, a tome he had uncovered and had studied. A book that was obviously the first type of holocron, as the pages were blank… until a Jedi read them. Then, words and pictures would form and the Jedi reading would see the words of Jedi Masters past. Turbogeek himself had added to the book as he had read, but he had been surprised to see his sabre described and it’s hidden powers revealed. Even more surprised to find out about it’s twin – a Sword, originally of Sith origin, that had been created with the same Force abilities to be the reverse of Athona. A Sword that could be used by a Jedi who had the power over Water. To his surprise and ever deepening interest, he read of the attempt of one Jedi to do something unique – to become a Master of Elements. Fire, Earth, Wind and Water. Athona was a Flame sabre. The sword was named Icefist and had the power imbibed in it to supercool anything in a radius except for the proper wielder. Any one else attempting to take the blade would have every water molecule in their body attain Absolute zero in a blink. The sword froze anything it touched.

Turbogeek had become almost obsessed about the weapon and had to build it again as Icefist had been destroyed in a battle that he could find out nothing about. Not surprisingly, because it was 4000 years ago. It did seem tho Athona had been involved in that fight.

But still…. What a power. The concept of the elemental Jedi has taken him and for years he had studied it. Gained control of Wind via Force Weather Control. Mastered Fire. Begun to study the control of Earth. Now he would see if his mastery of Water was enough to convert the ordinary sword he held in the dirty wrappings, a sword crafted with much care and time and in secret. It was a Claymore, had a beautiful balance and even in some ways was built to resemble Athona. The blade had been polished and honed to incredible natural sharpness, however the metals used itself were nothing special in this days. But the precise alloys and earthen content, the folds and the layers were all precisely laid down as the instructions had given him. Already one Dark Sider had met retribution with it, ending up in a pit of molten metal. Turbogeek remembered that fight well – it was the day he had finished the initial forging and drawing, shaping the sword with a hammer and an anvil. Yes, he remembered that day well.

He continued to walk, beginning to go over in his head the steps he would need to take on this day. The Massani Temple was to be used as a focus point. The air had to be just right. And he had to meditate on the Force, building his strength for what he was to do. This was nothing to be taken lightly, one mistake could be fatal. He would also re-read the book before he commenced.

About an hour later, he pushed through the last bits of undergrowth to emerge at the forecourt of the massive temple. He looked up, examining and accessing,

Then decided.

He walked to the entrance and entered the dark beyond.

:;As they went down the tunnel Saphire felt another presence, someone with elemental presence. She had only ever felt that from her family and race, who was this?
She snapped back to attention as one knife flew her way. She moved her head just in time, but it touched her cheek, drawing blood::

Damn....

::Miryan stopped as a large swinging axe, and avoided the knife sailing their way at a fast pace as Miryan flew past the deadly axe::

::Panic seized saphire and she concentrated on all three knifes coming her way, concentrating on the air around it, using the force to freeze the air around the objects, grabbing all three knifes as they continue flying. That was a close one..
A lucky break too. Oh well, why not keep the knifes.
Saphire tucked the knives into her wet belt and used the force to make Miryans travel faster, her own force source envaloping on Miryan, enforcing his own power for this time.
This position made her nervous, she felt safer doing it her own way. slowly and each trap bit by bit. But this was time saving and safer in a few more ways, she didnt like the feeling of trusting someone else with her safety, even a friend such as Miryan::

Hurry Miryan. I felt another presence, it might be the crystal, or something else....

::A few more axes, a few more knives, on extra knife in her belt and three more cuts, two to the arm and one to the leg was the result as she finally touched the ground. Sighing in relief, her heart slowing down, excitement dying down, Saphire laughed. She had survived::

As much as your goign to want to kill me, that was bad, dangerous, and thrilling. But lets not do that again, at least not if its necessary.

:;receiving a smile from Miryan her attention turned to the feeling, coming from the large door in front of them. Her hand touched the cold grey stone and she turned it slowly, a low creak filling the silent ground, accept for the occational dripping water and errie echoes. The door slowly opened, and revealed a stone, a purple/grey coloured jewel, a crystal of force power. And the crystal was all she saw, all she tasted, all she felt. They had found it, it existed!!
Slowly makign her way towards the beautiful stone her mind reeled, her steps carefully and soundlessly slipped along the stony path, three steps and she was infront of it. The careful cuts into the crystal was written in inscripted messages. Her hand touched it carefully, testing the dangers, and the hand clasped it, slowly taking it out of the stone setting it sat in.
She felt the pure force envalop her, her mind and body seemed to highten and she felt..she felt..she didnt know how she felt. it felt like nothing ever before and her eyes met Miryans::

[i]We've found it Miryan, we found it...[i]

Force Master Hunter
Jul 2nd, 2001, 09:53:42 PM
He wasn’t a particularly tall man, nor actually remarkable in any real way. Most likely he would be the perfect undercover agent, being just another unremarkable human. Dressed in black pants, boots, top and trench coat, with a form of eyewear on, he looked late twenties, dark short hair. A soft and rather high pitch voice which could turn powerful and deep in a blink. Nothing really that set him apart.

Nothing apart from what he was.

He didn’t really have a name, not one he would choose to let others know anyway. He went by the name of Hunter, Force Master. Nothing more needed to be said, especially to the bounties he collected occasionally and the other work he did when he wanted to. Mainly assassinations of crime lords and other hard to hit targets. His name wasn’t really known in the underground, but for those who did know, he had quite a reputation for getting a job done. Some suspected he might have been a Jedi or a Sith in the past, though questions like that would more than likely lead to a quick trip to a grave. He distinctly discouraged question of his past.

On his hip were the only external evidence he was not standard. To oversized holsters contained two beautifully crafted, burnished black hand held Rail Guns. Not the normal blaster, but a highly advanced pellet thrower, the likes that were almost unique. Usually containing a 20 shot magazine, the rail gun used a electro magnetic pulse to eject slugs the size of a large thumb out the barrel, from speeds ranging from transsoinc for silence, to the full hypersonic high speed shot. There was some feral kickback, even with the rail gun mechanism being recoilless to a degree and a careless shot could break your wrist, however having a steel hollow point projectile hitting a target at 4000 kp/h was certainly some way in redemption. Some of Hunter’s associates called the guns a joke until Hunter gave a demonstration on their destructive capabilities – usually blowing some blast door to pieces with one shot. He even had a explosive body bullet that could blow the head of a rancor clean off.

All in all, he couldn’t think of a better weapon. Especially as bullets worked against sabres rather well and he occasionally ran into Jedi in his line of work.

Like now.

He sat in the boughs of a tree, using macrobinoculars to view the entrance of the Massani temple the Jedi he was following had entered. Unbeknown to this target, Hunter had laced a small homing beacon on the Jedi’s ship some time ago and had been quietly tracking him, watching and waiting. For nearly a week, he had been shadowing the Jedi, waiting. Watching. Observing.

And not liking what he saw.

The job was supposed to be a simple one. He was supposed to grab some package from a Lord Fire Blade, shooting that bugger, then move on to the assassination of three others. So far, General Tohmahawk was finished with and he was about to move on the Jedi next. The part with Lord Fire Blade had to be delayed and he would be moving to that one next.

Darth Turbogeek however was proving to be a slippery customer so far. Hunter expected that as this Turbogeek was supposed one of the more powerful Jedi, but the sheer difficulty in keeping up with this ass was interesting. Almost like as if the Jedi knew he was being followed. Or was slowly losing his mind and had the attention span of an insect and flitting between place to place. Hunter was hoping for the former as taking down an insane Jedi was not his idea of amusement. He had heard stories of Jedi who had gone mad and their rampages, frankly Hunter didn’t want to be on the receiving end of one. But if Darth Turbogeek was really losing his mind…. this was probably the best thing that could happen. A clean death instead a dance of madness.

Hunter knew quietly why Turbogeek might have been going mad. Suspected it for a long time, even before this job came up. Hunter had reasons to be watching over the Jedi and it was true he was likening what he saw less and less. Now the Jedi had inexplicably gone here on this deserted shithole of a planet but not before organising to move the Jedi from their base on Dagobah and doing some stupid feint on Bespin. What was the idiot up to?

But there was a benefit. Yavin IV was deserted. It was the perfect place for a quiet erasure of a Jedi with no one knowing. Not a bad idea given the Jedi would be pissed if their hero was killed. Even if it was for their good.

Hunter kept looking at the entrance of the temple, deciding to wait until Turbogeek emerged. At that point, it was likely Hunter would raise his guns and shoot the Jedi dead. Neat, quick, quiet. Just the way he liked it.

The Force was with him, he could feel it.

With his eyes closed, he finished the words to the chant, then raised his hand outwards. The sword lifted off the ground, raised up vertically, then balanced delicately on its tip, touched the ground again in the precise centre of the room. The floor where it touched glowed ever so slightly. A flicker passed down the blade, before stilling. The Jedi slowly got up and spread his arms wide, still with eyes closed and still deep in the Force. Eyes didn’t matter now, the Force told him precisely what was going on.

The ancient rite had been started.

Not many knew that the Massani temples were built to help a Sith focus his power and that power had lay dormant for millennia. The power could be unlocked if you knew how, if you called upon the Force in the right way. Now, he could feel the room itself begin to prickle as the energies were focused directly on himself and thence to the sword. He held it back like a dam, but he knew that the dam would have to burst soon, not even he could hold this power together for long. However, he knew he had to for a bit longer, lest he was destroyed. Thje Force could only be unleashed right at the end….

He slowly pointed at the sword, his finger tracing the outline. In his mind, he placed the weapon, then began to balance the huge power, beginning to use it, honing it down. Controlling it. His finger pointed at the tip of the blade and paused.

The tip begun to glow.

The glow began to progress up the blade as he moved his hand.

Ever so slowly, with infinite care, the sword was covered with a white glow, that filled the room with a soft and gentle light. The glow seemed to transfer itself into the air, then float to the walls and floor, to cover the room with it’s light. The Book of Knowledge closed itself, seeming to know what was going to come next as the Jedi opened his eyes, to see what had happened. The entire room was lit up, with the sword still in front of him, still standing on it’s point… but now seemingly to be entirely consisting of construction liquid and not steel. Like water. Ripples could be seen as the Jedi looked over the weapon without emotion. Both hands came forward, palms out ward. A blueish glow began to form on his palms, which after about 30 seconds, detached and floated lazily across to land gently on the shearing guard, one on each side. Turbogeek moved his hands and the glows answered his command, beginning to move around and across the sword, up and down. The glows seemed to fill the water in until the entire surface seemed to be frozen. Indeed, his breath was accompanied by puffs of visible vapour and the temperature had indeed dropped considerably. He stared at the sword, before moving slowly to shrug off the Jed robe. Underneath was revealed armour of the blackest midnight, covering all his body other than his face, head and hand. He reached behind his back and bought forth a set of guantlett, similarly midnight black and seeming to be made of the same glassy substance the armour was. The gloves were pulled on, then he advanced, the sword looking now like it was fashioned from ice, while the light glinted off the armour.

One hand reached out for the handle.

The other took hold of Athona and bought it forward. The blade whooshed to life, beginning its colour shifting dance…. But then changing to seemingly like a multihued flame, like a steady gas pilot light, but with many colours, not just one. His paused just centimetres short, the power of the Force now raging to be released. He just pushed back for one more time, gaining focus and listing through his mind what he wanted to do precisely. He shaped it in his mind, forming and creating. Constructing. His lips muttered the final spell and right on the last word, he hesitated no longer and gripped the handle.

He was hit by a wave of extreme cold and would have died right there if he didn’t force the wave backwards, unleashing the pent up Force power in one wave of energy and focusing on retaining the coldness inside the defined area of the sword. For a moment, the two energies contended for superiority until by sheer willpower, the Jedi won out.

A echoing explosion rocked the room, the glow collapsing with a hiss into the sword, which fell to the ground, as did the Jedi, his sabre switching off as it bounced and came to rest by his side.

The room’s darkness was only broken by the glowrod.

For nearly an hour, Turbogeek was unconscious before coming groggily back to animation. He raised his head, blinked. Well, he was alive, even if he did feel like a bantha had sat on him. He turned his head to look around the room, freezing as he caught sight of the sword.

It was as it was before he started all this, except for the sheen of frost covering the blade. Turbogeek pushed himself slowly to his feet, feeling the aches and pains that came from extreme exertion with the Force. He could feel the first prickles of excitement as he moved over to the weapon and picked it up by the handle, feeling the intense cold even through the gauntlets. The blade itself shimmered with the frost, glittering as it was moved through the air. The Jedi bought the blade to face level, dumbfounded that this had actually worked. But for the final test…. He swung the blade straight down.

If it had still of been a simple metal sword, it would have broken. Instead, the blade cut the stone cleanly, leaving behind a trail of ice as the marker of it’s passage. The blade was bought to face level again. Yes…. It was indeed finished. Icefist was remade and only he could weild it, the Sword would freeze anyone else who tried to use it.

Darth Turbogeek grinned as he picked up Athona and reseated the sabre on his belt. The Sabre of Fire. The Sword of Water. His Armour was of Earth. There was just one more thing to do and he would have the Armour of the Elements – the shield of Wind. Soon, he would discover how that worked. Two defensive items, two weapons.

And then…..

Good question. What then?

*As MnT stepped into the room behind Sapphire, the largest grin that had ever graced his face, made itself visible.. They had indeed found it, and if legend was correct, whomever found and possessed the stone, would find themselves infinitely more intune and more powerful with the force.. So long as it remained in either of their possessions, they would both be granted near god-like force powers..*

... By the deities, Sapphire, it's amazing...

*It sat there, on top of a large magnificent altar of stone and gold, intricate designs carved and crafted into a sight so beautiful, they alone almost swayed one's attention from the red crystal atop. It shone brightly despite the darkness of the room, seemingly glowing. Each edge of the stone was alight with bright highlights, accentuating the perfection of it.. To believe that such a power could be concealed within such an object was not a hard task at all..*

*As he walked over to it, he turned to Saphire, and spoke..*

... Perhaps we should both take hold at the same time..? I know naught about how the effects come into play, but it seems more logical to me, that in order to share the power, we'd have to share in the taking of it...

::Saphire smiles and they both hold it, pure force raining down on both of them and her eyes sparkle and laughter fills the air as strength of another kind fills both minds and hearts, as the force makes their senses and strength in force hieghten. it stops shining and it is a normal crystal. She lets go first and smiles at Miryan::

Keep the crystal Miryan, its yours. Wow....

::Her mind alets to the presence of two others and her attention waves::

Sorry to cut this moment short, but we have company...

*He too sensed the prescences, and was near able to feel even the features of their faces out to the finest detail, despite the distance..*

... If I'm not mistaken, that's the Jedi Master, Darth Turbogeek.. The other I do not recognize though.....

*By the end of his sentance, MnT was already letting his attention focus back on the sudden power welling up inside every cell of his being.. Closing his eyes, he reached a hand out, towards a rock that happened to be lying against the wall.. Suddenly, his arm jumped with an energy surge, and the magnificent power of Force Lightning arced from his fingertips to the rock.. The rock shattered instantly, sending a spray of near dust-sized debris around the room.. None of it hit him or Sapphire, however, as the force simply did not let it, each particle bouncing harmlessly off of a force shield that they had not even mentally needed to form..*

... Sapphire.. This is incredible.. It may not be the god-like power I had imagined it would be, but still...

*Grinning, he took the crystal, and carefully placed it inside one of the inner pockets of his coat.. He would have to fashion it into a pendant or some such thing when he returned to the HQ..*

... We did it.. Sapphire, we did it..

::she looked at her arm and electricity came around her arm, just like her masters had and she grinned, especially at the sheild that had been created::

This is more than I imagined Miryan, far more. I imagined wed have to wear it, but no...its become one with us. It sinked into our very soul...

::She looked at Miryan and smiled, someone she knew she'd trust always was found, but so was power that would stay always, hopefully. She did not know what to expect. She could nearly see Darth Turbogeeks face and where he was surrounding but she could not feel him, only see. It seemed she had bene given a greater power in sight through the force and she looked at Miryan again::

I have a feeling we are close to him, shall we try out this new power and see what it has given us?
Who knows how long it will stay and if it will work in certain areas only? Or what conditions this power holds?

Force Master Hunter
Jul 18th, 2001, 07:23:19 AM
:: Hunter was well set up in the tree, care ful to make sure he hid his presence in the Force. He had the Macrobinoculors out, watching the exit to the temple as he had been for a few hours. Waiting. He was patient. He could afford to be.

Finally, he saw movement at the exit of the Temple... and he viewed the the Jedi Master has he exited. Hunter examined his target, but his face crinkled into a frown. The Jedi was holding a sword of some kind.

Hunter put the binoculors down slowly, now in thought. Massani Temple, a focus for Force power. Powerful Jedi, showing signs of insanity. Sword.

BUGGER! How had he managed to learn that?!?! Hunter was certain he had destroyed the last book on how to make Sith swords he could find, surely a Jedi Master wouldnt do that... but he did, that would mean the insanity was very well progressed as no Jedi Master would use the Dark Side powers required to make a sword. If that's what it was...

Well, sword or no sword. Turbogeek was dead. Hunter took out the rail rifle, a good sniper weapon. Not even the Force would help the Jedi now, not with one of these projectiles aimed for the head. Hunter checked the scope out, then briefly turned the gun to get a sighter elsewhere - and saw two more beings. Being up with the latest known Sith, he recognised Sapphire Dragoness, but not her companion. They both seemed to be viewing something.

A shout. Hunter turned the sight back to the Jedi. He was agitated by the view. Back to the Sith. Ahhhh, they had seen the Jedi.

FMH grinned. Bullet to the head or death at the hands of Sith. Suited him fine, although he was quite certain it was more likely the Sith were going to get a beating. Well..... didnt matter. He would watch the entertainment, then blow Turbogeek away.

And find out what thw sword was. How curious. ::

*The trip out of the cavern had been surprisingly short, and the pass through the old citadel equally uneventful... He did not know what exactly had happened, but the living shadows and equally unreal seeming creatures that haunted through them, were no longer there.. The citadel had been no more than it's name.. However, once they exited the building, was when things started to pick up... Looking off to the left, MnT tapped Sapphire on the shoulder, nodding in the direction of the Jedi Master..*

... Sapphire, friend, what say we test out our newfound strengths properly..?

*At the eager smile and nod, MnT felt a smile come on, himself.. Sapphire was likely the best friend he'd found, and by far the closest, since coming to the Empire.. They had gone through a lot together so far, and would likely go through a lot more in the future.. He knew he could fully trust her, which, to MnT, was a high honor indeed.. There were few he'd ever been able to trust with such readiness, even amongst his friends and "family" on his homeplanet..*

*Walking off towards the Jedi Darth Turbogeek, MnT cupped his hand over his mouth, to project his voice farther.. He was about to call out to the Jedi, when he was surprised by Sapphire doing so first..*

::Saphire spotted the jedi and thought. barge in or watch for the moment. She looked around for any other jedi, it was strange, Turbo had been missing for sometime.
She looked at Miryan at his comment and it made sense, it would be interesting to see how it happens to improve their style and skill. She grinned as she finished scanning the area. Why not barge in? It looked OK and if she died here, she would dye with the honour of being killed by a worthy opponant. Though, she did not plan on dying at all.... Where ever that other presence was she was sure shed find out later::

:;She noticed what he was making and it almost shocked her enough to open her mouth wide, but she kept her position and eyed the sith sword. What would he be doing making that? He had gone off the deep end::

Jedi! It seems you have finally fallen off the railway track! What are you doing?

::She stood there, every cell in her body ready to fight, and she was glad she had someone like Miryan beside her. he may be jedi but he was still a great master and a great opponant. She trusted him as much as she did Jeseth and karsar. he had much honour. she smiled with pure steel and electricity ran down her arms as the jedi master looked at her::

Turbogeek had just come form out of the temple.... to be met by two Sith that he did not know. He allowed himself to drop his pack, before drawing out first IceFist, then, in the other hand, the sabre Athona.

"Fallen of the what...? No matter. Stand aside Sith, or suffer the same fate that has always occured to your fellows"
