Admiral Lebron

<font color=gold> A small white speck slowly began to get larger. A Lambda shuttle was approchingg the Imperial Star Destroyer Tanji. Aboard it, was Admiral Lebron who would be conducting the fleet. Around the Tanji was several ships, amongst them were: Auska,Shinji, andGendo; all of them Victory star destroyers. The Grant I-IV of the Nebluan B class of frigate. There were seven Scllya light cruisers mark II and one mark III. There were 40 random classes of picket ships, three were Durk class. The shuttle began to land.

Upon landing elite stormtroopers stepped outside and formed a path for the admiral to walk across, and he did as soon as he exited. When he reached the end of the line, the commodore was waiting.

"As you can see the fleet is ready for the invasion. I assume you will want to talk to me and the general privately to work out the details?" said Rafe, wondering what the plan might be.

"Of course. Let's go." And so Lei with Luthien Rafe at his side stepped through an opened blast door, and headed for the bridge.

<font color=green> The Commodore fell instep behind the Admiral, as they walked down a corridor, entering a bridge. On the bridge, many officers and crewmen rushed about, making final preperations for the jump.
"Sir, ready to jump on your order." Barks out a Lt of medium height.
"Yes.. begin the jump and get the General here immeadiatly." The Admiral said cooly.
"Aye." Replied the lieutenant as he rushed off. The Admirals looked out at the streaking white stars.

Kletian looked out the view panel of the ISD mark II Farfalen, at the many spacetroopers weilding on massive sections of the five kilometer shipyards.

Kletian stares out the view panel wishing the spacetroopers would hurry up.

"Man, I wish something exciting would happen."

He hears and noise behind him and spins around. An officer looks at him and salutes sharply. "Everything is going as ordered, sir."

Kletian nods and says "Thank you." He motions that the officer may leave and he spins around to continue looking out the view panel.

General Borodin
Aug 10th, 2001, 07:45:04 PM
Onboard the Victory -class Star Destroyer Auska , Brigadier General Borodin of the TIR Army stood beside the shorter captain of the ship. Though not experianced with naval command, he was assigned to one of the three Victory Star Destroyers where he was to command the assault. The trio of ships weren't much, yet they would prove the most useful in the planetary takeovers and bombardments.

"General, it appears there is an incoming transmission for you. My men are retrieving it as we speak."

"Excellent..."

He had an assumption of the message's sender. Whether he was right or wrong, hopefully it would be Admiral Lebron with further instructions for him.

<font color=#CC0000> "Ahh, General," The Admiral of the fleet said with delight, " When we arrive to Brita-Kajarro, I want AT units and ground troopers on the surface immeadiatly. No bombardment. We intend to take with force. Do you understand General?"

General Borodin
Aug 10th, 2001, 10:27:42 PM
Borodin grinned. He has almost forgot that their target was that of a neutral allegiance. Bombardment or not, the invasion would be frightening to the planet's inhabitants.

"As you wish, Admiral. I intend to make this swift and clean. Are there any specific targets you would like me to concentrate my forces on?"

The General had just been called to duty and never had a chance to study the planets he was to invade. Yet he was always a quick learner, and never failed on the job.

Admiral Lebron
Aug 10th, 2001, 11:10:34 PM
"Ahh yes.. specific targets. Aim for the cities and asteroid mining facility. They could be dangerous. So we should watch out for them. We will have ample coverage from Hammerhead starfighters. Three squadrons of them. I want it a quick battle. You have one hour* before we arrive. " The Admiral glanced to his side, awaiting response.

"Exellent Captain; General, you know what to do, Commodore with me." The Admiral with the Commodore and Captain left the room, walking down the main path of the bridge. "Sir, we have recieved a communication from the planet." Said the communications officer.
"Lets here it.." The human said dryly.

"Attention.. unknown vessels, you have violated our space.. remove yourself or suffer consequences.." The transmission was shakey. And the voice was horse.

"Tell them to surrender or die." Lei said quickly, "Ready two squadrons of Hammerheads and have the general commence landing. Give him a squad of hammerheads for cover as well." Multiple yes sirs, were heard as they ran about their business.

"Sir! Three squadrons of fighters... one squad uglies, the rest TIE interceptor, TIE Fighter, and some TIE Defenders in the mix, Along with several pickets and gunships coming from the surface." Said Commodore Rafe. He knew what the reply was, as the Admiral looked out the view panel.

<font color=yellow>"Deploy the other two squadrons of hammerheads," the Admiral said without blinking.

"Yes sir!" Rafe replied. He gave the order, and the two prepared squadrons of hammerheads left the star destroyer in perfect formation.

Rafe looked at them with pity. They stood no chance, they were pathetic. But then again, what would he rather have, a shallow victory, or a gruesome bloodbath?</font>

*the Y-4 Raptor dropships launched behind the Hammerhead screen and shot towards the planet. The screen was effective, and the Raptor's passed unperturbed by the fight. The Raptor transport Blue Moon zoomed through the battle's edge. Around them, TIEs, Uglies, and Hammerheads dueled, shooting by so fast if was nearly impossible to keep track. Around them, explosions from torpedos, missles, and craft sent orange and blue energy waves into space, mixing with the laser fire to form an almost artistic, if deadly, scene around them. As they shot towards Brita-Kajarro, a Skipray blastboat cruised in on their tail and began unloading bolts of blue and green fire into the rear shields*

Y-4 Transport, this is the blastboat on your tail. Either surrender or be shot down, your choice.

Blastboat, this is the Blue Moon. Shoot us down if you can.

*as if to accent the doubts of the pilot that the Skipray could finish them off, a pair of Hammerheads arced in on an attack pattern. Crimson bolts of laser fire from both craft cut the blastboat off short, and before it could flee, concentrated laser fire punched through the shields and into the hull, igniting the fuel cells and missles and blowing the craft apart. The two Hammerheads dropped in on gaurd positions at port and starboard, leaving the top arc to be covered by the Y-4 gunner*

Blue Moon, this is Blue Shadow 7 and 8, we're your escorts. Continue on your vector and try to not make our jobs to hard.

Thanks for the save, and make sure nothing else gets in.

*the three craft continued in unperterbed, the other snubfighters preoccupied with the other craft in space. As they began to break atmosphere, the two Hammerheads peeled off and sped off back into the battle. A few minutes later, the transport settled with a thump in the city, Takro. The doors to it opened slowly, and the soldiers piled out. First out was the elite 1st Platoon, headed by Lieutentant Lars Dalson. A beast of a man, he was over seven foot tall, broad in the chest, and was extremely powerful. Strapped to his back was a large generator for an Eweb(18), which he carried in his one handed. In his left was a modified bi-polar blaster carbine, attached to the generator pack by a long wire. The powerful heavy blaster that he carried in in his right hand was notorious for it's power and clumsiness, having to wait several minutes for it to charge, and having to be in a fixed position. But the large man had remieded that problem, and, along with it's added shield generator, had allowed him to take out enemy anti-personel weaponry with ease. Following him were his elite soldiers, wearing the modified armor worn by the 1st Platoon specically. Each carried the stander E-11 rifle, along with a carbine and pistol at easily accesible locations. They were heavily trained, and extremely deadly. Behind him, engines roared to life, and his four scouts shot into the streets, going on pre-orchestrated scouting routes. Out around him several other platoons exited their respecitive craft, and the Y-4s lifted off, ready to get another group of soldiers. The 1st Platoon began to scour their assigned quadrant, watching diligently for enemies everywhere*

The Imperial forces were clearly winning, overpowering them in space, but not on the planet. They had a stronger resistance then expected. They had lost one dropship in the drop and five fighters in the space aussult. One Nebulan B had minor damages.

"Admiral, the third, fourth, and ninth fleet have arrivied at their designated locations. Sorini, Residia, Gavigan, and Yutani." Said a Lt.
"Excellent. " Replied Lebron.

------------------------

Sorini system:

Several Imperial Star destroyers, accompanied by pickets and support ships ripped through the still of space. They are met by a single Impstar duece and three Correllian gunships.

The Imperial capital was destined to fall to the Remnant. The Impstar was flanked by the four Star destroyers of the Third fleet. The Corvettes were attacked outright by Victory star destroyers and other small craft.

------------------------
Residia System:

The Imperial Fourth fleet came out of hyperspace in the still of space. Residia was in a signle star system, with six planets in it. Two of which are gas giants. As the fleet came in, and gave off a warning, dozens of freighters, smugglers no doubt, jumped system.

The planet, on the other hand gave zero resistance, welcoming the Imperial Remnant hoping, they could come to an agreement and agreement it was.

---------------
Gavigan system:

The Super Star destroyer Umaro came out of the dotted space backround, by it was the Escort cruiser Hive II. Gavigan, a mining world, had maybe a squadron of TIE interceptors to defend itself. But, defend itself it did.

Orbital mining facilities began depleting its raw ore into the atmosphere to burn up in its decent. The TIEs came up and began firing wildly on the SSD. The Super star destroyer fought back with Ion cannons only, hoping to disable the fighters.

---------------------------------
Yunati system:

The rest of the Ninth fleet came into realspace, by the dark factory world, Yunati. The ships came forward, dwarfing the planet with its amount of ships.

With no fear, the Victory Star Destroyers Auska, Gendo, and Shinji tore through the atmosphere of Brita-Kajarro in an arrowhead formation. Forests lay below but far and wide a few turbolaser emplacements could be found hidden between the trees. Neon green blasts of energy shot towards the sky where the VSDs lumbered. With their shields absorbing the freqent blasts, the starships would simply return fire with several vollies from their lower turbolaser batteries and reduce the defenses to shrapnel.

"General, we are coming up to the capital city. Assault Transport group Storm has been disbatched as well as TIE Interceptor squadron Delta and TIE Bomber squadron Beta."

"Excellent. Keep me posted on our status Captain."

"Aye sir."

Go!

*with that, the five man team blasted their way into the building. Lead by Lt. Dalson, they made their way through it. It was a governement building, one of the several they were supposed to take over. Other groups in the platoon were combing the streets or adjacent buildings, hunting for resistance pockets. Thus far, only a few had shown themselves, and they'd been taken down, and captured. Their mission profile, unfortunatly, made them shoot with stun blasts only, and it was becoming more difficult as they progressed. But they were elite soldiers, and difficulty was what they were made for. The five men swiftly covered the open area through the parking garage, and made their way to the stairwell. One of the soldiers produced a computer hack, and went to work. A moment later, the door was open, the sensors offline, and they made their way up. The stairwell was deserted, giving them easy access to each floor. On their way up, each floor was eerily deserted. Less than five minutes from when they had entered, they were at the top floor of the eight story building. They thoroughly searched, but found nothing and no one. As they were about to leave, one of their instruments gave a beep. The soldier who had it lifted it up*

Sir, there is some sort of explosive on this floor.

Find it!

Yes sir!

*the five men searched again, and within thirty seconds, they found the bomb. A small timer atop it was counting down from thirty..as they rushed down the stairwell, a loud claxon siren blared through the building, and the doors began sealing one by one. They reached the bottom right as it sealed, trapping them in the room. With a grimace, Lt. Dalson began blasting the door, hoping it was weaker than most government issue doors. The chrono on his watch was timed with the bomb, and he watched as it counted down*

<p align=center>Hector Lien, a brash twenty-six year old human male from Kamaar, did a barrel roll, followed by another invert before going vertical. He was in the cockpit of a Hammerhead starfighter, and was over Sorini, the Imperial Capital of the sector.

He swivelled his dorsol Ion cannon around, to his six, firing two bright, neon blue bursts of energy into the hull of a pursuing TIE/Advanced. The fighters sheilds weakened for a second, then two orange-red beams of light came up from behind it, hitting.

The two concussion missles from Lien's wingmate, were indeed beutiful shots. Without them, Hector would be dead.
The Leuiteniant Commander, was a squadron leader of Mamzer squadron, a squad in the third fleet.

Gleaming, in the light from the systems center star, the Mamzer squadron approched the Impstar duece, giving no mercy, giving no ground. 24 proton torpedo's, along with laser cannon fire lanced out from them, heading directly into the ship, hurting it's already weakening shields.

<font color=gold>[b]<p align=center>Admiral Lei Lebron, yawned slightly from his chair aboard the Star destroyer Tanji. He was getting tired of this battle. The enemy did not oppose much of a challenge. Gun boat after gun boat, and fighter after fighter, sparked up, then died out in a second or so after that.

The turbolasers aboard the first fleet of the Imperial Remnant were blazing brightly, in sequence, as they pounded on the planet beneath them. Burning through the atmosphere, then into the ground or a building, either or, sending it into shards of debris.

From his seat aboard the fleets flagship, he could see the planet. It was blue and brown mostly, some green. He admired the swirls of vast storms of rain and lightning. So graceful, beautiful, but deadly and harmful. Lei loved it. The Admiral turned his attention back towards the battle.

"Woodbridge, clinton, bush, engage at vector 21, 42," snapped arlonian, "Dale and nale, stand by to engage."

The three mighty star destroyers lazy flight changed into a sharp dash as they rushed fowards to engage the myriads of TIE fighters, and the giant impstar. The tie fighters flew in to attack the giant ships of war, little flies next to giant horses, lasers flashing, pricking at the armour of the destroyers. the normally impressive explosions of a tae fighter exploding were dwarfed by the sheer size and cold sterilty of hte star destroyer's sides.
"Take the Ranji to maximum effective range of our weapons to the deuce. Bush, Clinton, Young, take a corner each at maximum range, to minimize risks of boarding parties."

Again, the lazy flight pattern of the hulking warships was changed as they sped towards their target to engage.
"All other ships, hold this position! Let them come to you!" barked arlonian, "We'll show these bastards what it means to mess with the Remnant."

Moff Radon Mont, hearing of the attack, had flown up to his command ship, the Imperator Star Destroyer Nanata, And had gathered three others of his ships. The Lancer frigate Hardshot, the Dreadnaught Dark Pain, and the Correllion Corvette Odessy II. He immediately jumped to the staging area to meet the Admiral.

Hector Lien
Sep 3rd, 2001, 11:22:34 AM
<p align=center>A Hammerhead fighter , slowly formed into an arc as a TIE/Advanced came up behind him, blasting away like there was no tomarrow. For the pilot of the TIE, there wasn't. Two quick bursts from his dorsol cannon paralyzed the fighter, then his wingmate came up planting a fury of laser bolts into its cockpit, which exploded into a mass of flames.

"Thank's duece." Said Lien with a bit of joy in his voice.

"Any time lead, any time." Replied Ranth Bors, the squadron leaders wingmate.

Hector turned back out towards the main battle. The Star Destroyers were destroying the enemy fleet. Piece by Piece. It was rather spectacular though, the ships. So many, so big, so deadly. And for some, so burnt. Lien ordered the remnants of his squadron to form up on him, V formation. They were going to do some paving.

Task Force Tempest, acting on direct orders from Admiral Lebron, tore through hyperspace bound for the Sorini System. They would not be late for battle.

" Time to intercept, helm?" Major Vorran asked, rubbing a hand across the goatee he was trying to grow. He didn't think it would last.

" Four minutes, Sir."

" Good. All crews to their fighters. Gunners to their batteries. Prepare to raise shields."

Three minutes passed, and all was quiet. Monitors beeped and droids squeeked, but no one dared speak. The Major would not say a word either. Then, a brave tactical officer spoke. " Sir, we're approaching the exit vector."

" Now!" reported the helmsman. The lines of hyperspace reverted to dots on the endless mat of black, and there was an Imperial formation of warships-

Rafe looked at the battle with failing interest. It really meant nothing to him. But it was obvious that this and everything else were just cogs in a wheel, making the clock turn. Everything was falling into place, and Luthien knew that it bore good fortune for the Imperial Remnant.

Luthien then looked to the admiral, and followed his gaze. It lead to some departing ships, headed for Yavin. All this conquest and takeover left Luthien feeling a little ambitious. He could barely wait for the day when he could lead a small fleet of his own to victory.

the brilliant flashes of laser-fire flew from the hulking ships of deep-space war, smashing into one anothers sides and causing much amusement to Arlonian.
"This is what I live for!" he cried, as a blast of laser shook his ship, "There is no other reason for life! The laser blast is a beautiful thing."
"Yessir, it is."
"Alright, all corvettes, engage the TIE/advanced immediatly. Stay under the cover of the capital class ships. They need fast escorts. That duece can't last much longer..." suddenly a devillishly smart idea occured to Arlonian, "Anyone in those corvettes ready to die for the remnant?"
"What have you in mind?"
"They're outgunned, so they're going to try to board us. If we send a corvette to MER of its weapons, it will be in easy grasp of the tractor beams. They will, in an attempt to take hostages, or quickly turn one of our ships around on us, capture it. At that point in time, we scuttle it. The self-destruct on one of them corvettes should be enough to take out the deuce, and without capital class support, these shorter range fighters are nothing."

Four Star Destroyers attacking one had made quick work of the lone enemy vessel, though it had put up a masterful fight. She had run full power through her deflector array, a maneuver both risky and effective, doubling her lifespan. But she ied nonetheless. She rolled on her axis and began to drift. Crippled from the bout, one of the Remnant Impstars fell back to offer long-range fire support but not directly engage. Only the corvettes remained.

" Their backs have been broken: only the shell remains. Concentrate all fire on the remaining three corvettes-one Destroyer per ship. We'll have them down in no time!!!" Vorran stood and slammed a balled fist into his other palm, glad to be besting the enemy, but internally horrified that he was attacking Imperial machinery and men.

The VSDs by the capital had been firing down on the planet the whole time and had reduced all installations to rubble. All that remained was to land troops. That would done in due time.

" Task Force Tempest-Engage!" ordered Vorran, feeling the Destroyers were taking too long in eliminating the corvettes.

His force chraged in from the flank and gave a cannonade of neon fire, bathing one of the vessels in an inferno. It exploded in seconds. As they passed they turned their guns to the next ship, not stopping their thrust, and fired again. Their fire power, combined with the other Destroyers, eliminated another.

Before they could destroy the last, it surrendered. m,ajor Vorran sent in a repair crew and added it to Task Force Tempest. He christened it the Thrasher...

He prepared to land troops on the old Imperial capital...

"Admiral Rafe, you have the com," He said that last as he walked to the turbolift, to the hanger bays, then from the Umaro to Yavin system, something important. Something dangerously important if it was Code Delta.

And, yes we could use you as a medical planet. Other than that, there isn't much to offer. There will be fleet specifically for this sector. Is that good enough?"

Eric Vin Hofferstien
Sep 7th, 2001, 02:37:47 PM

Sep 7th, 2001, 10:11:40 PM
"Well, now I wasn't expecting that. Allthough, all fleets contain about the same complement of ships. Every once in a while we will throw in a new ship or two. I can see what I can do. My fleet consists of two Imperator Star Destroyers, one Victory-class Star Destroyer, two Dradnaughts, one Lancer-class Frigate, three Correllian Corvettes, and ten random calsses of pickets. Would this do for a good fleet? If so, I can see to it that you get something of the same size. Maybe even with more fire power."

Major Vorran withdrew Task Force Tempest from the battle in space, as another office had finally arrived, a man by the name of Arlonian, to command that segment. Task Force Tempest, was going to begin bombarding the planet, the capital of the Sorini Sector. The Akon, mighty Imperial-class Star Destroyer, took center of the formation, while the lighter ships took up position on either side of it.

" Commander Avora," said Major Vorran to the Captain of his flagship-though it could ahrdly be called that for he only a Major. " Are all guns ready?"

" Yes sir. What shall we hit? Indiscriminite fire, or military targets only, sir?"

Major Vorran was appalled, but said nothing. Commander Avora must have been an officer left from Palpatine's COMPNOR or Security Bureau. No true Imperial officer would fire on civilians. Not under HIS command.

" Military targets only, Commander," Vorran said sternly.

Moments later, sheets of energy were pulsing forth from the ships of Task Force Tempest and leveling the installations on the ground. The capital world had no shields to stop the bombardment and the installations had no heavy defenses. All the fighters had been mobilized with the corvettes and the Imperial-class Star Destroyer that were fighting Captain Arlonian's ships.

Major Vorran grinned. He awaited the world's surrender...

The shuttle, pulled up along side of the Umaro, then into it's massive hanger bay, soon after ,it launched itself into hyperspace, heading down its fast trek to Yavin 4. It would be arriving within forty-eight hours, thought Lei Lebron, Admiral of The Remnant as he walked out of the shuttle.

Greeted by a half a dozen officers and a few squads of Stormtroopers, the Admiral made his way to the bridge of his mighty flag ship, a super Star destroyer. "Within Forty-Eight hours, I want to be in the Yavin system. Understood Commander?" He informed the ships current Commanding officer, Balak Shiu.

"Yes my lord, it will be so." He confirmed shakily.

General Borodin
Sep 8th, 2001, 07:53:18 PM
By now all three Victory Star Destroyers had unloaded their compliments of starfighters, shuttles, transports and landing barges upon Brita-Kajarro. The planetary inhabitants and defenses had not put up much of a fight against the Imperial Remnant, and Borodin wasn't going to complain. He knew action was fun, but to enjoy a battle where their own people fell was wrong.

"General, your shuttle awaits you, sir."

Acknowledging the ensign at attention with a nod, he walked right past him and into the near empty hanger. Turning into the rectangular room, he saw the lone Imperial Landing Shuttle in the left side of the bay. An Imperial Blaster Rifle holstered to his side, and a Light Repeating Blaster strapped over his left shoulder, he made his way up the landing ramp of the craft and into a compartment full of stormtroopers.

"Soldiers, good morning. As you already know from your briefing, we will be targeting a civilian area outside of the capitol. Recent reports indicate suggestions of a local militia gathering and staging an offensive against our early boarding teams in that sector."

The regiment of stormtroopers stood tall and still, looking like unquestionably loyal clones ready to die on command. With a nod from a few, taking in the scenerio's objectives, they seemed to clearly understand what they were to do. A shutter could be heard from outside of the spacious cargo bay, indicating the landing vehicle had finally lift off from the starships bay.

"Good. It should take ten minutes for us to arrive at the capitol. We'll land in the outskirts of the city and move outward towards the small neighboring town."

"Yes SIR!"

Borodin saluted the troops covered in armor and took a few strides towards the cockpit to watch their approuch.

"If you will excuse me a moment, I need to make a transmission." At the yes of the other he headed for the bridge. "Give me a one way to the commander of the Fourth," he said to the comm. officer. "Yes, sir!" The screen came up and he sent his message. "This is Moff Radon Mont to the Fourth. You are hereby ordered to go to Yavin and help out the rest of the forces. That is all." He ended the transmission and headed back to the council chamber. There, he returned to his seat, and spoke to the emmesary. "Well, do you have an answer?"

Major Vorran pursed his lips and looked down at the grren orb of the Sorini capital as he stood behind the bridge viewports. His ships alone had pulverized every military installation on the planet below, opneing it up for invasion. The only thing left to do was make it happen. ' I jsut wish they would surrender. The task before us now abounds."

" Commander Avora, bring deploy fighters from their hangars and prepare for all ships for landing the invasion force. General Metoorin! Prepare your men. Get your troops to the transports and launch when they are fillled. All transports will fall in formation with the Fleet and prepare to invade. As soon as received final confiramtion, we will attack."

Minutes later, the first troop transports began to depoloy, little swrams from the ventral hull of the Destroyer. TIEs left their launch bays aboard the Akon to afford them protection, and when the time to land came, they would act as aerial support. The Fleet was almost ready. They waited for Admiral Lebron's word...

Looking out at the window, towards the planet, he saw his home and his people. Wishing he were there again, he finally spoke up, his words meak and streaked with fear,

"N-no. We would like it if little Imperial ships came, only enough for defenssse.." He awaited the response from the Imperial Moff of the Borromeo Sector.

"In other words you want a small but powerful fleet. This I can do. One ISD, one dreadnaught, two Correllian Corvettes, and three pickets should do. How about that?"

Brita-Kajarro was an average sized planet, moderately industrialized. However most of that now lay in waste from the pounding turbolaser fire from the Vics above. Stragetically planned to hit military targets only, the ground troops would handle the surrendering of civilians. Borodin's mission was different.

"General, we'll be on the ground in ninety seconds."

Facing the back of the shuttle, he turned around to look inside the cockpit as he rose from his seat.

"Thank you. Don't forget to be back here in oh-two hundred hours."

Overhearing the brief conversation between the pilot and their General, the standing soldiers tilted their heads upwards and awaited further instructions.

"Men, you know the drill. Delta Group head eastward to your recon point and report back with visual confirmation. Beta Group, flank the complex on the left and get your snipers setup. Alpha group is with me, going through the middle."

"Aye aye, sir!"

---------------

It was a small task force, twenty-one men in groups of seven, and all of them silently slipped out of the boarding hatch of the shuttle like a mother giving birth to a litter of babies. It was dusk, and the sun was settling below the city's skyline leaving shadows to follow behind the infiltrators. As instructed, the three groups split up and went their own ways with their own objectives. With their target laying 150 meters north of them, the east was to the right and the west to the left. Trudging through bushes, tall grass, and other plantlife, Beta Group made their way around to the left side of the building complex through the surrounding forest. On the opposite side, the seven lightly armed men of Delta Group went to high grounds with backpacks full of recon equipment; binoculars, sensitive sound recievers, infrared and heat-sensored goggles.

Meanwhile Alpha Group, led by General Borodin himself, made a sprint towards the entrance to the main building of the complex housing the local militia. Waiting just outside, they waited for audio and visual reports from both Beta and Delta groups.

(As per Tanon's request of his character, since he is having some difficulties getting online, I will be using his character for the next post, to temporarily take his character out of play, while his out of play. Anyways, on with the show.)

<p align=center> Dalson rounded the corner, in the last couple of minutes his unit had become the focus of intense ground fire. Snipers had been picking off his men left and right, it was horrific. Lars stopped and did a quick spin, aiming crudly into the air he snapped off two crimson kill bolts, before continuing his escape.

His second wind was coming, just as a small explosive went off immeadiatly to his left. The heat of it hit his body, then nearly instantly followed by the force of the weapon. His body was hurled to the ground. Still able, he pulled himself up, with the help of a comrade in arms, then together they kept running.

Deadly red beams of light spat out from the guerilla's who were closing in. Although this was one of the best units in the invasion, an ambush still kills, especially when the enemy has high-impact shells and "potato"-mashers, a crude shell, hit hard of the ground or leg, then thrown.

The pain swept through his body, originating from his stomach. It burned with all the fire and fury of the man that shot it. Stumbling to a near halt, he fired a burst of fire at a closed and supposedly locked door. Dalson made his way into the small store, it's air hot and musty, hitting the wall hard in his fall the solider went to the ground, in pain then into unconsciencesness. </font>

"Delta Group to Alpha Group, Delta to Alpha, come in."

*click*

"Alpha Group here, loud and clear."

*click*

"Delta Group has reached Point A. Enemy positions confirmed. An estimate of five to six bodies gathered in the basement, two lifeforms in a small room on the second floor, and a possible fifteen to twenty people positioned around various locations in the main hall. Approximately nine of them are armed. All other buildings around the central building have been declared empty. Recon is suspecting sheds are stored with larger and heavier ammunitions. Repeat, surrounding sheds and cabins are suspected to hold heavy artill-"

"Beta to Alpha, we have just reached our destination. Setting up sniper spots as we speak. We have visual contact with six targets; one on second floor and five in the main hallway."

*click*

"Delta Group, this is Alpha leader. Extract and plant explosives in suspicious storage areas. Beta, on my mark, eliminate visual contacts."

The reports came in the orders went out. Not too far to the east, shadowy figures could be caught sneaking through the rocky terrain and going down the opposite side of the hilltop. Hastily they jogged behind buildings, trees and other objects, until they finally split up. Each of the seven figures went to one of the many storage buildings, some as small as a shed and some as big as a five car garage. Patiently, Alpha Group stayed ducking behind a long hedge of bushes waiting for a report from Beta Group that the explosives had been planted.

Major!" said the communications officer,a young cadet from Borrmeo. He broke the silence on the bridge, and for that, Vorran was happy. Perhaps he bore good news...

" Yes, Warrant Officer Mckee?"

" Orders from Admiral Lebron. Invasion to Commence at your own dispatch. End transmission."

Vorran turned his command chair to the General sitting at the CommScan station near the aft control corridor. " General Metorrin, you may commence the attack. Relay the appropriate orders. I will dispatch my men."

With that, the hundreds of shuttles and squadrons of supporting fighters moved forward and descended towards Sorini. From the planet came a squadron of TIE fighters, the planet's last reserve, scraped toegther from all parts of the globe. They were a platry collection, some older than the Empire itself.

" Order the Corvette Guyver to commence fire-I want to save the fighters for troop support."

There was a recognition and the corvette moved ahead of the transports. From it came a hail of neon fire, ranged to explode near the fighters as they screamed in. Then came concussion missiles, wiping out half their numbers. But on they came. When within range, they fired their weak anti-starfighter weapons and broke for another pass. On their turn about, the corvette hit them again , the flak fire accurate and deadly at that range. The last of them went down.

By now, the transports were landing near the capital city and disgorging troops, both Fleet, storm, and Army. AT-AT-walkers, repulsor tanks, and all other Imperial instruments of war were hurled from their tanks and massed in clearings. They formed companies, then battalions, then regiments, and headed towards the capital city. It's defenders were dug in. The final battle would be there, with the fleet above, the fighters below, and troops ready for war.

As the mighty Impstar Deuce exploded, Line-Captain Arlonian smiled. He turned towards his officers, "Well fought, my men. The TIEs are scattered, there capital-ships destroyed, we've got 'em! Just don't let the phools land."
"YESSIR!" and the large capital-class ships began to engage waht was left of the pitiful tie fighters, blasting them at leisure.

Luthien smiled with pleasure, yet another victory, with just a little bit more effort put into it. His crisp clean imperial suit was freshly pressed, and felt warm against his flesh, giving him a slightly rosy color to his complexion. Whenever he had a victory and the casualties on the imperial side was minimal, this was how he would feel, content and releived.

"So we beat them, and now their planets are ours. Whole systems will fall similarly I can only assume. Now we wait."

The imperial star destroyer floated through space appearing very non chalant in it's manner. To something of it's magnifisence, the petty battles were just blaster scoring on it's armor. The blackness of space made appear like a beacon of strength.

bzzzzZZTTTTT!!

The first shot rang out, and the seven troops staged in front of the main building readied their weapons, their eyes glued to the two-door main entrance. They could only hope it was a shot from one of their own, the shot of a skilled sniper pinning an unsuspecting enemy.

bbbzzZZTTT!

A similar sound of a laser blast echoing throughout the area filled their ears, as another sniper was striking from the shadows. Suddenly, to interrupt the patterned shots and to send the inhabitants into more confusion, a deafening explosion shattered their ears from behind. Heads spinning around, a tall threatening flame erupting into the air came into view, sending pieces of shrapnel flying away and covering the surrounding grounds with dust. Then the reports flooded in.

"Alpha Group, shed one of eight destroyed. repeat, storage shed one destroyed-"

"Alpha, Beta coming in! All six targets eliminated, sniper group relocating-"

"Alpha Leader, all seven of Delta Group confirming explosives planted at remaining storage areas. Extracting immediately-"

Perfect. In less than a minute Alpha Group would storm the hall and put a halt to any military threat, simply. Blaster rifles ready and grenades strapped at their sides, they would make it easy and bloody.

The army before Sorini's capital city continued to grow as dozens of AT-AT' walkers and hundreds of hovertanks amassed outisde the shields that was the town's only protection. The troops fanned out and layed down into attacking positions, into small street fighting companies around individual walkers, three hovertanks, and a compnay of troops. Sorini City was helpless.

" Commence bombardment-target the generator," said Vorran, pointing to the object on the holoprojection above the catwalk on the Akon's bridge. Within moments, a withinering, pinpoint barrage fell from the sky upon Sorini, devastating through the shield and pounding the last installation on the planet. The shield went down in a blistering conflagration that consumed all the life within a kilometer-thankfully it was on the outskirts of a wood.

" message from the Planetary Magistrate, Major," called the auxilliary communications officer from his station in the aft control corridor.

" Put it on."

A visage appeared whee the layout of Sorini City's holo schematics had been. " To the Imperial Remnant Military Commander of the attacking forces. I beg you cease your assault upon us. We grant you what you wish. Sorini is yours."

The transmission ended.

A cheer spread across the bridge and Commander Avora slapped Major Vorran on the back. As he was not an officer of flag rank-yet-, he thought himself able to partake in the joviality. They had won.

" have the Fleet assume defensive stance and all troops on the ground disperse to begin disarming the population. General Metoorin is to see to garrison orders..."

" Sir, we have received orders from the Admiral," said the communcations officer from the stoarboard crew pit of the mighty Star Destroyer. Vorran looked down, past the olive drab sleeve of his new uniform. He was now a lieutenant commander of the Imperial Navy, transferred as of yesterday.

" What do they say?" We are to complete the garrison of the planet and report of the Kamaar."

" Is it authentic?"

" It is, sir."

Vorran yawned, not having slept since the attack on Sorini began. " Order 2nd and 3rd Guards Regiment to remain on the planet and Dark Pain to remain in orbit. All other ships, form up around the Akon and prepare for hyperspace. Send down the dropships to pick up the other troopers..."

An hour later, the men were back abaord their ships and the fleet was outbound...

"Woodbridge, Clinton, remain here to ensure that we maintain our hold on the area," said line-captain Arlonian, "All other ships, set co-ordinantes for the Kamaar system."

There was a brief lapse in action as the men on the star destroyers and corvettes calculated their hyperspace co-ordinantes, then as one the ships rotated, hung suspended in space for a moment, then moved through the massive accelaration that is the trademark of a hyperspace jump, and they were gone. Two star-destroyers remained, and that was all that Arlonian had deemed to be required.
