[Athena Lady Darknss]

The day was a long hit day and Athena walked along a path. She then noticed a large rock and she thought about resting. her legs had hurt for a touch now. She took a seat and watched. her heart told her something was on its way. although she didnt know what. suddenly the hot sky and air turned into, a deathly black storm. clouds adorned the sky and hid the light from view. then it hit her, that is why she was here. She was to rid the place of the light... she was the thunder cloud and soon she would as well be the striking force behind it all. a small noise was heard and Athena turned her head. Someone had steped on a twig and it snapped.

[Obryn Shan]

Jedi Obryn Shan looked the grassy plain watching a distant figure upon a small knoll. Due to the mid-afternoon rays of the sun, he squints his eyes hoping to get a better view of this curious apparition when the figure moves, walking upon a path down the far side of the knoll.

Oberyn with a swift movement drops his hood over his head, begins following this stranger towards the bare woods beyond, while feeling something foreboding.

The stranger's gait and the rolling of her hips suggests a very confident female. The woman stops on the path, while looking left, as if she is going to look behind her. Oberyn ducks behind a stand of trees and peeks around the trunk of one of them. The figure instead wraps her robe about herself before sitting down upon a nearby rock.

He circles around behind her silently and deftly, as he emerges from the trees the skies darken above. He looks up careful not to make a noise observing the dark clouds begin to roll in, covering the skies and blotting out the sun. The thunder rolls once before he takes one step forward, the twig snaps with a loud crack that seems to echo through the woods. The woman's head twists around...

[Athena Lady Darknss]

She didn't feel another person, but then again she knew people could hide thier force signatures. Athena looked behind her and noticed a quick movment in the shadows from the clouds. She knew there was a human just who it was she didnt know.

Her hand fell down to her violet saber and she gripped it in her hand. The weapon, was something she had come to fell one with. Not only was it an extention of her arm but an extention of herself. Her last saber was taken by Christain and she had not gotten it back. She had taken his saber and replaced the crystal with something to cause a low glow black beam.


<Font color=Red> She jumped to her feet just as the Jedi leap from his spot landing 3 meters from the Rock. Her finger hit the connection button on her saber and the low deadly black blade. It sprang forth from with in its sanctuary of the silver hilt. The snap hiss of the blade sounded almost as loud as the breaking thunder. A soft hummm was heard,and the low glow illuminated her face.</Font>

[Obryn Shan]

As he watched the startled woman twist around, her eyes searching the trees and the shadows between them, searching for him. His earlier premonitions were correct as he recognizes this woman as a sith warrior, a powerful one at that. Knowing confrontation is inevitable, Obryn leaps from the shadows landing three feet from the sith woman as she activates her lightsaber with a final snap-hiss, the obsidian blade runs fluidly from the hilt.

Obryn drops his hood revealing the shaven head and braid of a padawan, he reaches deep into the force for the calm peace of Jedi warriors. His hand lies on the hilt of his lightsaber while he returns the cold glare of the sith warrior with an wary expression. He raises his hand hoping to stay her hostility...

Her gase was killing and cold. Her violet eyes watched the Jedi. He was young but he as well was strong with in the force. His hand raised and Athena wanted not more then to jump over spin and slash at his legs. She didnt see wanted a better attack. She stood on the rock and watched the Padawan

[Obryn Shan]

Obryn studies the sith warrior any sudden or hostile movements. He is a Jedi, a representive of peace ... and justice if circumstances demand it. His young and apprehensive mind urges him to seek a more peaceble means to this often deadly encounter, taking a deep breathe while raising both hands, he bluntly states, "Who are you? And what are you doing here?"

Darkness emanates from the woman standing upon the rock, her expression remains cold... calculating.

He had spoken and wanted answers. Athena would give him the answers but in a moment.


<Font Color=Red> She flipped over the Jedi and landed just behind him. She spun and hit the jedi with the hilt of her saber in the back, just as she landed.</Font><font color= Grey>I am Athena, Member of The Sith Empire! Apprentice to Master Dara Shadowtide.</font>

[Obryn Shan]

Athena flips over Obryn, with a backward her swing of arms, she smashes the hilt of her lightsaber between the his shoulders. A grunt escapes his lips as he shoulder-rolls forward to avoid a second fatal blow. Back on his feet, he faces his opponent while unclipping his lightsaber activating it's blue blade in one fluid motion. Obryn raises his lightsaber in both hands in front of him defensively, ready to parry any strike. His eyes meet Athena's in deadly challenge and whispers, "I am Obryn Shan, a Jedi padawan..."

[Athena Lady Darknss]

Nice to meet you Jedi.

Athena smiled and watched the jedi get his weapon. Her blade was in her hand already. She smiled at he stood to his feet.

" Why did you follow me? "

[Obryn Shan]

Obryn still holds his lightsaber before him defensively, studying her warily, he answers, "Intuition... but was not sure if you were actually a sith or not. I followed you because I had to know. I had to be sure. Once I found out who you were ...... but you have discovered me..."

He tries to read Athena but she remains expressionless, her thoughts cloaked with the force. His lightsaber wavers slightly to the left, breaking the silence with a hum. The clouds are so dark above it appears to be the twilight hour. Thunder rolls again as it begins to rain softly...

[Athena Lady Darknss]

The rain fell on Athena and she smiled. The Thunder storm a object that she had come to see mostly when she fought. Athena moved her saber to the right and fake stabbed at the jedi. As he block that attack her left knee came up and smashed into his rib cage.

[Obryn Shan]

Obryn gasps as her knee impacts his left ribcage, stumbling back slightly hunched over from the pain, realization strikes. Regaining his composure and straightening his back, raising the lightsaber once again in a defensive stance he faces Athena with a perplexed expression. The lightsaber waves sways slowly left to right expecting another strike or feint. Rain drops evaporate on the lightsaber blades with a low hish.

He asks, "You are not here to assassinate, are you? Twice you struck me without mortal intent. The Sith Empire did not send you here, did they?"

[Athena Lady Darknss]

<font color=purple>Athena watched as the rain created a steam like mist off the sabers. The jedi as well as herself were soaked now from the rain.</font>

" You know you want to know a lot of information. But nothing here is going to make any difference? What if The Sith Empire sent me here? And what if they didn't? "


<font color=red>She moved to her left and swung her saber upwards towards his body.</font>

[Obryn Shan]

Obryn, anticipating her maneuver, swiftly dodges left as he ripostes downward counterclockwise. The blades clash with a distinct crack, sparks erupt, her strike is safely parried to the right.

Obryn cautiously circles left, knowing that a true Jedi should obey the voice of reason and peace before resorting to violence. With lightsaber held ready he responds, "This does not have to come to this..."

[Athena Lady Darknss]

Athena smiled as the Jedi seemed to be smarter then she thought.

" then tell me Jedi, why did you follow me? You dont know me. And i dont think you wanted to get to know me. "

The wind was blowing hard now, as the rain feel in sheets of water. The dirt on the floor was beging to turn into mud.

Athena took some steps back and lowered near the ground, with the add of the force she flug mud into his face, her hands never leaving her saber. ( and the only reason she used the force here!) She sliced at his ankles as he tried to wipe the mud from his face.

[Obryn Shan]

Obryn watches her take some steps back and lower herself to the ground, realizing what she is going to, turns his head right while raising his left hand to guard his eyes. The mud splatters the side of his face, temporarily blinding his left eye.

He senses Athena lunge forward, low. Obryn back flips quickly away as her lightsaber slashes across the ground where he once stood. Upon landing thrusts his left hand forward, force pushes the crouched Athena, spilling her backwards...

He cleans out his left eye while watching Athena.

[Athena Lady Darknss]

Athena rolled back and kicked up her feet. Her ankles cought the mans saber hilt and his hand that held it. She twisted his arm and the hilt until she was about to break.


" What do you want from me? Either way your either going to get hurt or die. "

[Obryn Shan]

Obryn looks down in disbelief as Athena grasps his wrist and the lightsaber he holds with her ankles, shuts down his lightsaber. He gasps as she begins to twist his arm, he struggles and tries to wretch his wrist free from her vice like grip. She twists a little harder causing him to hunker in pain. Obryn takes a deep breathe as he places his right foot forward, performs a flip and lands to the right of Athena, wretching his hand and lightsaber free.

The lightsaber hisses back to life as he cuts a branch above on the tree before him, the limb falls as he spins around to the left to face Athena again. The branch falls where she lies...

[Athena Lady Darknss]

The moment he flipped over her she relased her hold on him. She heard the Snap hiss of his saber return to life. With a lengering sound of the saber cutting threw the tree. She rolled to her right as He spun to his left. She kicked up and flipped forward to her feet. She spun around and faced him. Athena reached with her left hand gripped her light whip. Her eyes Flashed Crimson as the branch fell where she had been.


Dust lifted from the ground as the branch crashed onto the ground. Athena took a step over the branch as the dust collected on her skin. Her eyes were noticeable even through the Dust.

Her saber's glow came screaming at the Jedi.

[Obryn Shan]

Obryn watches her dodge the fallen branch in which he was hoping to foil her aggressiveness, he twirls his lightsaber once before Athena's obsidian blade screams at him with lethal challenge. He slashes his blade overhead, locking the blades as a defiant crackle fills the woods.

He quickly spinkicks Athena on her left ribcage as he disengages the blades. Obryn then force flips over her, upon landing spins around, the electric blue blade bearing down at her left shoulder and neck...

[Athena Lady Darknss]

Athena smiled as this Jedi had spunk to him. The kick took her off guard and she looked up in just enough time to see a saber coming down upon her. She moved her saber that she held in her right hand up to block his attack. Her saber moved just enought to stop the attack, just as well he pushed her saber down into her skin with the powerful blow. Her face twisted in pain at the burn. her saber cutting into her shoulder as she fought to lift it from her skin. The smell of her flesh was strong. Her eyes flashed once more and her left hand ignited her whip's crystal components. The whilte saber like configurations hissed to life as her whip snapped out at his legs.

[Obryn Shan]

He hears a second hiss like a blade emission of a lightsaber but more prolonged. While balancing with his saber's blade cross-locked on her's, Obryn looks down in time to see her whip activation. Using Athena as leverage he force leaps high up and over her, Athena's whip slashes at nothing but earth.

Facing her a bit a distance away, Obryn studies her new weapon. Realizing that this is a very difficult weapon to duel against, chooses to tap into Force telekinesis by hurtling several fist-sized stones at her arms and torso from many directions. Hoping to stun and disarm her...

[Athena Lady Darknss]

Athena smiled as the Jedi leapt for his life. Her saber finally stopped digging into her shoulder. With a smile she watched the man. Then like the rain falling on them already rock and other objects came towards her. Though they didnt bother her. As the Master of Rocks (inside joke at TSE) Athena just lifted other objects to counter his attempts. She cracked her whip once more then started to advance on her prey. Her foot prints left in the soft mud as she walked. In the distance thunder clouds rolled threw and lighting craxkled to the ground.

Obryn could not hide his astonishment as she thwarts the hazardous projectiles with a precision that only the Force can produce, he witnesses the stone missisles explode to pieces as their harmful passage is denied.

Watches her walk through the maelstrom with an evil glee in her eyes, Obryn raises his lightsaber cautiously, he looks about at his surroundings when a thought occurs to him. Holding his lightsaber with one hand, he Force rushes to a large clearing behind him. Standing near the middle of the clearing he turns to face Athena...

[Athena Lady Darknss]

Athena watched as the Jedi ran from her and into the clearing. She made mental note of what was around the Jedi. Then as she began to near the Jedi she force ran and then slid upon the soft ground and to the left of the jedi. her light whip in her left hand she snapped out at his legs. With in her right hand was still her saber ready to block anything she needed to block.

[Obryn Shan]

He recalls his twin sister Onae, wondering what path she has chosen, sadly if she is even still alive. Perhaps she has become something much like this sith woman ...Athena. They have been divided since adolescence by Dark Forces invading their homeland. Onae disappeared under mysterious circumstances while their father, Nyman, spirited him away to safe haven on Coruscant.

His brief recollections are broken when Athena slides up beside the left of him, her light whip lashes out at his feet which he jumps over. Before she can effectively cock her arm back to lash out at him again, Obryn locks their saber blades together as he strikes her left shoulder hard with a right straight kick, attempting yet again to disarm her. He immediately puts some distance between them by performing a flipkick...

(OOC- Does the light whip emit a cutting blade much like a lightsaber? In other words, can it cut like a saber? TIA)

[Nayala Palain]

Their sabers sparked and hissed as they touched. She moved her hands quickly to free her weapon. Then as the soft wet mud clung to her back she felt the pain of the jedis foot in her left shoulder. He jumped back just as she lost grip on her light whip.

Her shoulder make a thick and loud snapping and ripping sound, she knew all the ligaments and tendons were gone now.

Her elegant weapon hit the cold wet floor and shut off, as the mud snaked into the shaft jamming it from use. She growled in pain and flipped to her feet. Her foot prints in the mud deep now cause of the amount of pain she was in. She channaled the pain into her body to block the pain, and she cause it to help her with the force.


" your thoughts of your sister are strong Jedi. What would you do if she to was as dark as Me? "


Before he could answer she force blasted him 10 ft into a tree. With the pain her now dislocated shoulder gave her.

[Obryn Shan]

... rings through Obryn's ears as he slams hard into the tree, the world threatens to grow black as pain spreads through his skull with a torturous throb. Obryn's eyes shoot wide open... ATHENA! ...lunging to his feet, he quickly looks across the muddy field.

Athena has not moved, meaning he was unconscious for only a second or two, her left arm hangs limply... obviously injured. Obryn's eyes roam the ground around him, catching the silver glint of the saber's hilt, he calls his lightsaber to his right hand but does not activate it's blade.

Obryn touches the back of his head, his fingers come away with blood then wipes his hand on his drenched robes. With reasoning, he shouts "Athena... you look too injured to fight anymore... give me your lightsaber and I can take a look at your arm..."

[Nayala Palain]

Athena could hear her name. She noticed how he felt his head then wiped hid hand on his wet robes.

" you are bleeding, I.. I'm just in pain. But to a Sith pain is an allie. To a jedi pain is almost like death. "

Her arm throbbed and the jedi wanted to see it. She thought for a moment. Then she threw her saber at him. Once the saber was out of her hands it shut off. She had crafted it so that her hand was what kept it ignited.

" Alright Obryn "

As the jedi came closer and started to look at her left shoulder. Athena's right hand slipped down to her belt where her daggers rest. She palmed one then slamed it into the Jedis rib cage. Blood spilled over her hand and his robes. She then kicked him away from her.


" Learn Obryn "

Athena then recalled her saber to her hands from his.

" You dont get my saber that fast! "

[Obryn Shan]

He should have known better than to take a chance such as this. Athena was a full-blown darksider with very little light in her heart ... if any at all. With naivety he thought he could somehow tap into what light existed in her heart ... but as he caught movement out of his peripheral vision... sees her hand thrusting towards his body. With the reflexes of a cat, he palmblocks the crook of her elbow as a great sharp pain shoots throughout his side.

She shoves him back then a foot strikes his chest hard, spilling him backwards into the mud. He quickly rises back up holding his bleeding side. If not for his alertness, he would be lying dead in a puddle of mud and his own blood. Though the wound was very painful with a couple of bruised ribs... it was not mortal. The bleeding appears profuse, he clenches his robe tightly to his wound to stave off anymore loss of blood.

He exercises his breathing as he taps into the Force to help staunch the bleeding and to numb the pain in side. Her left arm still hangs limply as he activates his lightsaber...

Her Left arm hung at her side, the cold feeling it had alerted her to need medical attention after she disposed of this Jedi.

She watched his side bleed as his face twisted into pain.</font>

" Obryn, are you alright? "

<font color=purple>Her words were as icy as the wind as night had set in over the battle. the rain had slowed and the ground was muddy. Lighting crackled down to the surface as thunger crashed over head.

Her back ached and she knew he hurt as much or more. Her saber was in her right hand ignited and ready. She slowly moved towards him, Obryn jumped and slashed at her left arm. She lifted her right hand and blocked the attack with her saber and side kicked him once more. Her hands tingled with the dark power her master had been teaching her... her left hand sparked and sputtered with dark energy. But she couldnt lift it to use it.</font>

[Obryn Shan]

"Obryn, are you alright?", he repeats silently in his thoughts. No, this fanatical sith is not going to lure him into a deception ever again. The wound to his side is a hinderance, drawing in the Force to help numb the pain and staunch the bleeding was greatly beneficial. He can tolerate the pain... but for how long. How long can he hold out, he watches Athena, she is even in worse shape forced to battle with one arm.

He tries her defense, slashing at her wounded arm, Athena immediately parries his strike then kicks him away. He puts both hands on his lightsaber for greater strength and impact. Obryn raises an eyebrow at Athena... he recognizes her acknowledgement, that her one handed dueling would soon grow futile against his powerful assaults. He stands before Athena, makes him feel like a predator that has just exhausted his prey. He shakes off that foolish thought as he is no predator at all ... but a JEDI. A symbol of peace and justice. Protecting the innocent, the weak, and the helpless from the predators.

She hisses something then strikes for his neck, he ripostes his lightsaber visciously... blocking her strike. Her right arm shudders up to the shoulder under the impact. She spins around left, hoping to cut him in two, he easily parries her strike. He capitalizes as he slashes towards her neck, which she ducks into a shoulder-roll. Obryn dives over her, rolling back on his feet, counters with a spinning overhand strike to her head. Athena quickly cross-blocks it overhead, again her right arm shudders terribly under the blow.

With saber's locked, despite the eerie glow of the blades, her face appears pale and strained...

[Nayala Palain]

Her arm, her good arm was starting to weaken just a little. But she had gone on long then even the jedi thought she would. Athena closed her eyes and call upon the darkness that surounded her... Her eyes gleamed a deadly glow.

The darkness came upon the two bodies and incased them in the chill, and cold only the darkness had. It was a loving imbrace for Athena but the Jedi could only fear what was going to happen.

Athena called with in her power a large rock behind the Jedi and called it crashing into his back. They toppled over. Obryn landing on Athena, just as she kicks him off of her. He stands to his feet and slashes down at her neck once more. She rolls safely to the left and sweeps his feet out from under him.


" SO anger for a Jedi... Come on Strike me... Im hurt. im loseing Power... You can kill me and start along a true path. "

[Obryn Shan]

The sith's eyes illuminate as a darkness gathers around the both of them. This cold presence cuts straight to his heart, discerning his flesh and soul; permeating his flesh, bones, marrow, and mind... seductively. Violent visions cloud his thoughts and he is repulsed by them. Sickened by them. Obryn fights off the aberrant invasion, his hunched shoulders relax just as a heavy object impacts painfully into his back, sending him reeling into Athena. They both tumble to the ground.

His mind has not completely cleared as he attempts to remove her head?! She dodges the mortal strike easily. She speaks, her words spoken softly ... intimately ... inviting him to surrender to the darkside.

"So much anger for a Jedi..."

"Come on strike me..."

"I'm hurt. I am losing power..."

"You can kill me and start along a true path..."

Obryn shakes his head, "No, you sith are blinded by the darkside, it feeds on you, until it has left you souless. You sith become nothing but empty vessels driven by darkside, it leads you to destruction... I will never surrender myself to such an abomination. Never."

[Nayala Palain]

Ooh you think so?

Then why dont we get back to what we were doing?

Athena attacked the Jedi once more, her saber moving smoothly in her hand. Her left shoulder not moving as she calls on the force to strength her attack on the jedi.

[Obryn Shan]

The Jedi with both hands on his lightsaber ripostes blocking the her attack easily, her arm is flung to the right of her body. He quickly ceases the moment by placing the lightsaber under her chin, the electric blue blade casts an eerie glow on her face.

Athena's mouth twists in a snarl as she threatens, "Do it! Do it Jedi... kill me and embrace the darkside."

Obryn shakes his head, she steps back swiftly, her right arm cocks further back as she throws her lightsaber at his legs. The black blade spins end on end, threatening to cut him down. He force flips over the lethal projectile and Athena both, landing behind her. The Jedi and the Sith spin around to face one another. He backhands Athena with the pommel of his lightsaber, striking her on the cheek, she falls sprawled on the wet earth.

She reaches for an object stuck in mud as she flips back up on her feet, hurtling a large stone that strikes the knuckles of both his hands with a loud crack. The Jedi's hands go numb with pain as she jump kicks him under the chin, sending him to his knees, the lightsaber is thrown from his grasp.

She spin-kicks Obryn across the face, he falls face first in the mud. Athena watches him breathing hard then spins around to retrieve her lost weapons.

"Not so fast!", a voice calls out. Obryn stomps quickly through the mud, she attempts a another spinkick. Obryn blocks it with both forearms as the Sith's face registers shock the Jedi spins around to the right, his elbow connects with the side of her face with a crack. Athena's body grows limp while the Jedi hip tosses her to the cold earth.

He watches her breathe softly lying in the mud on her back. Turning away he is overcome with nausea, the world grows dark. The Jedi realizes he is suffer from loss of blood and a battered body. With a wrist com-link he communicates to the pilot of the shuttle craft that brought him to this world, setting the beacon so the pilot can find him instantly.

He was sent to the planet to investigate the possible movement of slavers. There was rumors of gungan slavers operating in these parts and it was his mission was to confirm whether that was a fact or not for the GJO. The Jedi got way more than he bargained for.

The shuttle craft who was just a klick away roared above the woods. Lights lit up the clearing as it descended down. A crew member rushed out to help Obryn who was barely conscious. Held up by the crewman's shoulder, he whispers while looking behind him, "There is a Sith... back there...".

Both turn around slowly but there is no sight of the woman. The crewman looks at Obryn, "Come on we have to board now."

Aboard the shuttle craft, the Jedi finally succumbs to the dark embrace of unconsciousness.
