I have made a WinAmp skin (two, actually) themed like HAL 9000 from 2001 : A Space Odyessy. If anyone is interested, E-mail me to talk. No Playlist or Eq...sorry.

I have these images up. --HALlustrious-- <img src=http://thematrix.acmecity.com/realworld/214/hallustri.gif> This is the first one I made, and not quite as nice as the second, but if you like this one, I can't stop you. --HAL-BLUES-CTX-- <img src=http://thematrix.acmecity.com/realworld/214/halblues.gif> This is the second skin, this time with blue circuitry and some nicer details. Overall, my favorite. SSB

Not too hard at all. It involves quite a bit of small art. Mine aren't anthing especially fuzzy or cloudy, so it was just a lot of drawing lines. I even drew the letters in the title. There are some decent effects in these, too, and thats a lttle more art. The hardest part was putting the circuits in HAL BLUES CTX. That involved a LOT of cut and paste, and of the rest of the skin, not the circuits. I reccomend that you try to make your own skin, it's actually a lot of fun, and you're pretty darn proud of it when you're done. -SSB

Yepper that's the one. HAL 9000 According to http://mitpress.mit.edu/e-books/Hal/foreword/foreword1.html (http://mitpress.mit.edu/e-books/Hal/foreword/foreword1.html) the name is derived from Heuristic ALgorithmic <img src=http://www.cnn.com/TECH/9702/28/hal.update/hal.jpg> My turn, What kinds of things can you do with a winAmp skin?

Yes, It's been awhile since I've seen it but I thought it and the sequel, 2010, was pretty good. While looking for the eye pic I found out that they are planning a re-release of 2001 in less than two years, I wonder if they'll do a Special edition like SW.

I think 2001 was a real genre-breaking film. It showed people a very realistic view of space technology, and had a great story. It gave the world what may be the most famous computer ever : HAL 9000. -SSB
