Attention New York City-area fans! The Association of American Publishers (AAP) will be distributing free posters of Jake Lloyd as part of its "Get Caught Reading" program featuring celebrities posing with their favorite book. The posters will be given away during the annual "New York is Book Country" celebration in New York City, Sunday, September 26, at AAP's booth on 5th Avenue at 49th St. For New York is Book Country, which is held every year in the city, the stretch of 5th Avenue between 44 St. and 57th St. is barricaded off, and all the leading publishers set up booths on the street. There are always lots of freebies (posters, bookmarks, etc.,). Don't know how much "Star Wars"-related stuff--if any--will be available. There usually are some authors on hand also. Terry Brooks was there several years ago plugging his "Shannara" books. I haven't seen the poster, it may be awful, but, hey, the price is right.
