Here's one: How many lines does Darth Maul have in the entire movie?

Vader
Jul 13th, 1999, 02:40:20 PM
3 I think "Tatooine is sparsely populated. If the trace was correct, I will find them quickly." "At last we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi. At last we will have revenge." "Yes, my master" More if you count his snarling... Which of Anakins engines had a fire during the pod race?

Mu Satach
Jul 13th, 1999, 04:20:02 PM
It was his left engine. What actor, in essence, kills himself?

Vader
Jul 13th, 1999, 05:22:18 PM
Well, you could say that Obi-Wan does... In ANH, who is the first pilot you see blow up in the Death Star assault?

Geex
Jul 13th, 1999, 08:19:54 PM
the first fighter pilot to get shot down is porkins. what is the name of the animal that carries anakin, padme, kitster, and shmi into the podrace hanger.

wrong answer Here's the question again... What actor, in essence, kills himself in TPM?

Noval Garaint
Jul 13th, 1999, 10:30:22 PM
Are you refering to Liam Neeson because of the rumors that he was retiring? The rumors about him retiring were false.

Vader
Jul 14th, 1999, 01:58:13 PM
They ride into the Podrace on Eopies, right?

Vader
Jul 14th, 1999, 02:00:58 PM
The famous "I have a bad feeling about this line" was said by: Luke -- Approaching the Death Star in the Millenium Falcon in ANH Han -- Before the walls start closing in in the trash compactor in ANH Leia -- In the space slug in ESB C3PO -- Entering Jabba's palace in ROTJ Han -- When the Ewoks put him on the BBQ spit in ROTJ Hmmmm... I don't think I missed any. Any other out there???

Jul 14th, 1999, 02:13:12 PM
In what craft did Luke claim to "bullseye womprats"? -DV

Mu Satach
Jul 14th, 1999, 08:44:51 PM
No, it's a very specific scene in TPM. The wording of the question is a clue.... What actor (not character), in essence, (in truth or reality, not story oriented) kills himself? I thought Lando said the "I've got a bad feeling about this." somewhere.... hmmm must meditate on that one.... <font color="#FF0000">If anyone can't stand it and wants the answer to my question before it's answered here drop me an email and I'll post it on my personal web page and email you the URL.</font>

Obi Wan also says "I have a bad feeling about this" when TC-14 escorts him and Qui Gon to that dining room in the Trade Federation station.

Jedi Knight Nick
Jul 15th, 1999, 04:26:08 PM
It's not really important, but FYI, the X-Wing is a T-65, not a T-64. In addition, the Queen's personal transport is a J-Type 327 Nubian. The model of the Naboo fighter is the N-1

Luke bullseyed womprats in his T-16 Skyhopper. "I used to bullseye womprats in my T-16 back home. They're not much bigger than 2 meters." Q: Which Star Destroyer found the Millenium Falcon in the asteroid field near Hoth?

Q: Which Star Destroyer found the Millenium Falcon in the asteroid field near Hoth? A: The Avenger Q: In the THX boxed set of the Trilogy (and in many other versions), in ESB, when R2 is ejected from the Dagobah swamp, Luke says "You're lucky you don't taste very good." In the Special Edition (and perhaps in other versions), this line is different. What is it?

Mu Satach
Jul 16th, 1999, 10:28:31 PM
"didn't taste good, huh?" beeeb beeb "If you're saying coming here was a bad idea... I'm beginning to think you're right. Oh R2, what're we doing here... it's ... it's like something out of a dream..." *sigh* still waiting for an answer to my lone question..... *sigh*

I find your question really confusing, I keep thinking about it but just don't get it. Maybe if you give a hint or something.

Jul 17th, 1999, 02:54:27 AM
The Avenger didnt find the Millenium Falcon. The TIE fighters followed it in there. The Star Destroyers followed. The Avenger is only seen before the Battle of Hoth and after the Falcon leaves the asteroid field. It was the Executor

... the original Death Star and the second Death Star's lasers are different. Why?

Jedieb
Jul 17th, 1999, 11:14:47 PM
Well, since the actor who played one of the Neimodians (can'tremember if it was Nute or Rune) also played the male pilot on the Republic cruiser you could say he killed himself.

Mu Satach
Jul 17th, 1999, 11:22:05 PM
What actor kills himself in TPM? the clue is in the word actor, it's not a character that kills himself and it's not an actor that really decided to checkout of this world Now, if I give you any other clues, I'll be giving it away.

Geex
Jul 18th, 1999, 02:53:51 AM
I had no clue that a pilot played nute gunray aswell but his name was ric olie wasn't it. I hope that's right because this question has been bugging me for days.

Mu Satach 2
Jul 18th, 1999, 06:09:07 AM
Different pilot... he's the guy that yelled "Captain!" before it was destroyed by the Federation, so because Nute is partly responsible for the destruction of the Republics cruiser... he kills himself... :) His name is Silas Carson.... He played one other character in TPM, bringing his total to 3... can you name the character?

DJjedeye
Jul 19th, 1999, 01:42:41 AM
... to my earlier question about the different Death Star lasers. I assume since no one has answered it no one knows (or cares). Anyway, the original Death Star was designed to only blow up planets, however the second Death Star was designed to destroy ships as well - thus it has been designed to be more accurate (and more powerful). Here's another question: After Boss Nass agrees to help the Naboo, the Queen and the other characters stand up (they were kneeling remember) but one didn't get up. Who was it, and what were they doing instead?

Jedi Knight Nick
Jul 19th, 1999, 10:31:44 AM
Actually, the Avenger did find the Millenium Falcon after the Falcon came back out of the "cave" or space slug. The Executor had been moved out of the asteroid field at that point so that Vader could contact the Emperor. If you listen closely, you can hear one of the officers on the Executor's bridge say "We have a priority message coming in from the Avenger". The message was that they had found the Falcon. By the way, I took the question from Star Wars Trivial Pursuit. The questions for this game were most likely approved by Lucasfilm. It was, indeed, the Avenger. outines is correct.

Thanks for pointing that out about the Avenger. I was just about to make that observation myself. Here's another one: what Star Wars actor shares a birthday with Patrick Stewart of Star Trek fame, and with me too for that matter. We all celebrated our birthdays 6 days ago.

Luke's line in the Special Edition is something along the lines of 'You were lucky you got out of that one.' I don't know if it is interesting trivia, but the other line was so much better, I was sad to see it replaced by this lesser line in the Special Edition. More trivia: Who orders (what is the character's name) the shield door closed on the Hoth base in ESB?

Q: Who orders (what is the character's name) the shield door closed on the Hoth base in ESB? A: Major Derlin

Geex
Jul 21st, 1999, 06:26:06 AM
well I think its general rieken, who orders them shut because he says to leia there's nothing more we can do tonight the sheild doors must be closed. and leia nods.

Jedi Knight Nick
Jul 21st, 1999, 10:43:00 AM
According to the Empire Strikes Back script I downloaded, it's Major Derlin. I have included that part of the script. According to the script, that line you cited was said by Major Derlin - not General Rieekan. I believe I ran across this question in Star Wars Trivial Pursuit as well. In the game, Major Derlin is the answer. The questions for the game were most likely approved by LucasFilm. Script section: INTERIOR: REBEL BASE -- MAIN HANGAR DECK -- ENTRANCE -- NIGHT Princess Leia stands inside the dark entrance to the Rebel base, waiting for a sign of the two Rebel heroes. She shivers in the cold wind as, nearby, Chewie sits with his head in his hands. In the background, Artoo and Threepio move through the doors. A Rebel lieutenant moves to Major Derlin, an officer keeping watch with the princess. LIEUTENANT: Sir, all the patrols are in. There's still no contact from Skywalker or Solo. THREEPIO: Mistress Leia, Artoo says he's been quite unable to pick up any signals, although he does admit that his own range is far too weak to abandon all hope. Leia nods an acknowledgment, but she is lost in thought. DERLIN: Your Highness, there's nothing more we can do tonight. The shield doors must be closed. He turns to the lieutenant. DERLIN: Close the doors. LIEUTENANT: Yes, sir.

Q: Who bought Anakin's podracer after he won the race???? A: According to the TPM novel, "a very insistent dug" bought Anakin's podracer. So, I'd have to say the answer to your question is Sebulba.

Where did Lucas get the name for that famous desert planet Tatooine? And by the way, I don't take * MY * questions from the Star Wars Trivial Pursuit game. I do research. I don't steal questions. And I have the game, too.

"And by the way, I don't take * MY * questions from the Star Wars Trivial Pursuit game. I do research. I don't steal questions. And I have the game, too. " Well, good for you. I guess that just makes you better than me. If it makes you feel better, I haven't asked any more questions because I don't want to steal any more from the game, and I haven't been able to come up with any challenging ones. I did verify the answer before using the question though. I guess I should go buy some of the Star Wars books so I can do some "research" too.

I think everyone should stop posting on this thread - it's getting way too long (I hardly look at it now). If you've got a question, it'll probably be easier to just post it in its own thread.
