I'm looking for Canadian film makers, make-up artists, or prop and model makers who may want to discuss low/no budget film making. If this sounds like you, please click on the Indie film North link below, eh? G'day.

We're Star Wars and Star Trek friendly too!

I'm guessing that none of you will admit to it anyway.

Well, I am Canadian, but I ain't a film-maker or nothin' fancy like that
...and I'm not a lumberjack or a fur trader...I don't eat blubber...A chesterfield is a couch...And the beaver is a proud and noble animal...uh, nevermind.:)

I'm in Montreal, but I know other people in Canada don't consider Quebec part of Canada. As long as I'm here it is though! I'm not involved in film making either though. I'd like to be though...

Well, as long as you can contribute (and not post big ass cheese cake pix to slow down us primitive 33.6 modem users!) you're welcome to yak with us. We're not big wigs or industry pros (some of us aren't), and many of us use regular camcorders or old super 8mm cameras to shoot our projects- perhaps there could be an exchange of ideas. It almost seems like a waste to make a spectacular prop and just leave it in some display case, when you could go out and make a movie with it!

Click here (http://www.indiefilmnorth.cjb.net) to give us a visit at Indie Film North.

Any of you who do model or props making would be especially appreciated- we have talked of making Star Wars fans films as well, I'm involved in a fan/spoof called: "An Annoyance in the Force", subtitled, 'bring me the head of Jar-Jar Binks".

What does? the forum or the film? The film is a real half-assed thing (shot on digital video- I normally work in film), but will be funny. We have a bald tae-kwondo instructor (who's a Star Wars NUT) who'll be playing "Darth Mugsy"- he acted in "Legends of the Fall" and "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" TV series.

Swanky! Check it out here (http://www.indiefilmnorth.cjb.net). We're no where near as big as this forum, but that's why I'm recruiting.

So, there are no Canadians here then. Pity.
