3. Make sure your elbows are slightly pulled back towards the back of you rchair and That your elbows are pressed agianst your sides

4.EBBSSSS Take that dam^ twinky out of your MOUTH!!!!!!!!

5.sitting upright elbows pulled back and at your side I want you to Bring up your right arm ,As you bring it up I want you to twist hands to where yourpalms are facing the wall ,bring up the beer can Until you are naturally Stopped by your muscle.( DO NOT GO PAST THAT POINT and DO not Move your elbows from there

starting point.

6. bring the beer can Back to the starting point!!!than do your left arm than back to your right arm ETC>>>

Make sure you do it with a slow controled movement.count 1......2......3.......up.1.....2.....3....4.....do wn.
you bring it back down slower To really hit the negative.Concentrate on using your Bicep and not your shoulders.

Alright! Workout thread!

That reminds me, I'll soon be posting plans on my site on how to make a heavy bag for under $50. (It's made out of duct tape, foam, and sand. Works great!):)

Thats a good idea!!I wish I had thought about using foam.

I had a couple of those expensive deals one time and it they just wore out to easy .

so I took one of those long army bags went down to the river and filled it with sand.taped around it.
the best heavy bag I ever used!!!!for under 25 bucks!!

But like a dumbars I got sand that was slightly wet and let me tell you That somb-ich was heavy!!!!Even for me!!!!!

If you have any questions about working out JUST ask.If I dont Know IM sure There are Others in here who are into working out and can help you.I try and shy away from eating habits because Nutrition is not my thing.I say eat what you want just watch what you eat(personal trainer joke)anyway STAR WARS
Fans get picked on alot for being 90 pound Geeks !!who just have brains (well me excludeed)and no brawn.lets prove them WRONG,So the next time you have an arguement with a TREKY over Which is better

Starwars or Star Trek and he ticks you off !! you can punch his/her lights out!!!!!!!

So ask away!!!

Now I'm tired. Were the cans supposed to get lighter for every negative (and me a little more dizzy?) Well, next time I won't use "light" beer :)

Say . . . is it okay if I use the Force?

Yoda may be Master of the Force, but when he goes to the beach I bet he still gets sand kicked in his face!
(That's a Charles Atlas reference, for all you young'uns!)

Sorry it took me so long to get back to this thread but that first beer laid me out cold! My resistance isn't what it use to be. :(

A personal trainer that doesn't tell me to eat right! Where have you been all my life buff? Okay, here my physical rundown:
I'm 30, 5'7", and 150 lbs. Fairly quick and thin, but grossly out of shape.
I haven't been in any serious shape since my Army Reserve AIT training way back in the summer of 89. I have a weight bench in my basement and I have access to a basketball gym at the school I teach at. Where do I begin buff? I'm in sad shape. My wife is 3 months pregnant so my vigorous 2 hour "cardio vascular" sessions are few and far between. In a few months they'll be virtually non-existent. I NEED TO RELEASE SOME TENSION! GIVE ME A WORKOUT PROGRAM BEFORE I GO INSANE!!!

two words is all you need Jedieb......"richard simmonds"

...and at the risk of sounding stupid-why does one
need a heavy bag fer?

(btw..hope im not intruding fellas)

A heavy bag (100+ pounds) is used for punching and kicking. (And installing it can be a real workoout, too!:) )

I'm 5'10", 66 kg, and really wiry. Currently I do 25 push-ups, serious stretching, 20-30 minutes of punching, and I try to walk at least 20 minutes every day (easy when you don't have a car). I've got dumbells I can start using, also.

Ok Old man Ebs,lets get to it.(J/K)

Its obvious you dont have alot of time on your hands so Lets start out with a short light workout.YOU never
want to start out full force if you havnt worked out in awhile. If you have ever been in shape before it will not take long for youu to start seeing results( unless you have had a major health problem or something like that. some of this stuff im sure you know (having gonr through a bootcamp stuff)so lets get it on.

before you start lifting warm up !! get blood moving through your body so you do not PULL, anything,Just a little in place jogging will do.(3-10 mins)

after you warm up, Lightly stretch out ( your muscles are like ballons) you have to stretch them out so you can get air into them,You have to stretch your mucsles so the blood that will be pumping into them can flow freely.

I hate to cut this short but Im having a family crisis so I have to see to it .I will continue when I return.(SORRYY!!!!)

Okay, starting tomorrow I'm going to start with some real basic stuff. Some simple streching (5-10 min), and then just some sit ups and push ups. I'll see if I can stick to that for a week before I take on any weights.

Sorry , I havnt update the work oout thread in here But I had a death in the family and it is taking up alot of my free time. But starting friday Ill get back to work whipping you girly men into shape!!!!!

BTW, Good Idea EBS but DO NOT do sit ups !!!!! Do crunches and DO NOT pull on your neck while doing them.

wLETS GET IT ON !!!!! ok if your going to work out let me give you a little bit of advice...

lets say you start out monday..Do your biceps and triceps that day

on tuesday do your chest, shoulders, and back that day

and wendsday do your legs and stomach .

thrusday start over with mondays ...and so on and so on.....rest on sunday

the reason is your muscles need about 48 hours to recover fully.I really feel 24 hours is all that is needed. So
if you do as above you get a full 24 hours and you dont hit and other body part fully the first 24 hours.

I am going to go through each body part day by day so you can get them down easier, as not to throw to much out there.this weeks work outs will be easy and short almost lame BUT you need to ease back into it as not to pull anything

First lets start with biceps.I am going to give you the basics so you can get started Nothing major just enough to get your arms ready for a real workout.

1.standing DUMBELL CURL. its not as good as seated BUT its a basic. You do them as I told you how to do the beer can curls ,Only you stand in the standing dumbell curls.

2.Standing BAR BELL curl..Stand with the long Bar in your hands to where your palms are facing away from you.
Keeping you elbows to your side and slightly pulled back, bring the bar up Until YOU have a natural stoP.
Other wards if when you are bringing it up and you have to move your elbows to bring the bar up more THan you are where you need to be.

3. consentration curls. Sit down in a chair or bench.Put one of your elbows up agianst the inner part of your knee, pull up the dumbell to a natural stopping point and bring it back down.

Those are 3 easy bicep movements, see no big deal But you have to get your muscles ready for some real action in about2 weeks. ,

remember 3 sets of 10 reps light.....8 reps medium......... 5 reps heavy.......... saturday i will go over some tricep movements to get them ready for some real action.

WOW!!!!!! I have finally figure out how to put a signature in here and all I could find was an old picture of me so NO BASHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!very bad hair day I had just gotten back from soccer
practice ,so my hair was Fd up, and not at my physical peak.

WTF!!!! my pic will not stay Whats up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
