Well I finally got my hands on Watto's box. Man that sounds gross... It arrived today from bige.hollywood.com. They did an excellent job packaging it. I've had to buy the several of these last cinema scenes online. Either from the Fan Club (Tatooine Showdown, Rebel Pilots, & Skiff Guards) or hollywood. The only one of them I ever saw at retail was the Tatooine Showdown. And that didn't last long. And this is probably old news around here but the cinema scenes have been discontinued. If you want to know why just take a trip to your local WalMart and count the number of Mos Espa Encounters gathering dust. <img src=http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Shire/8486/wtbox.jpg>

So, tell us more. How's the COMMTech? How much fun is it? Is it playable? Don't leave us hanging!

Is the Twi-lek slave girl fully articulated? I mean, uh...I'm just wondering because she's sitting in the scene and it would be kind of lame if she couldn't stand up. :) Remember Cantina Showdown?...man, I remember paying almost FULL PRICE for that! Silly me. Actually, it's kind of cool because Ponda and Evazan's limbs are in such ridiculous positions that you can make them look like they're break-dancing. Gives Obi-Wan another good reason to slice 'em up.:)

Well, I didn't think anybody would be interested in a review but here goes.. Watto One word: Crappo! Well, it's not that bad but I've got him standing next to his first incarnation and he's definitely not an improvement. The paint job is inferior (the colors are a lot lighter and not as detailed) and the wings on the cinema scene version don't move. I got one of them to give a little but the wings on the first version are poseable and add a lot to the figure. Graxol Kelvyyn (Big, Tall, Pointy Headed Guy) Pleasantly surprised. This is a nice figure. He's a uni-body like the POTF2 Emperor and Royal Guard but he's got two jointed segments so you can stand him up! The orange body suit under his blue cloak is sculpted and that's a nice touch as well. His arms have 2 points of articulation each so you could pose him in a bunch of different ways. Again, nice touch. The paint job on his head and neck are pretty good too. Shakka (Groovy Twi-Lek chick) Yes her knees are articulated (You sick freak!;)as are her shoulders. The paint job is pretty decent and the sculpting is nice as well. COMMTech Chip 2 phrases Watto: "The boy is good... but the Nubian ship will belong to me." Graxol Kelvyyn: "Nobody beats Sebulba... I put 50,000 on him to win!" Shakka: Nothing, apparently she's just somebody's date. If you like all the other chips then you'll like this one. If you're a bit discriminating like me (liked some, but hated others) then you're not that impressed and think the chip sounds nothing like Watto. I couldn't tell the two voices apart the first time I played it. If you hate the chips, then this one will do nothing to change your mind. Well, I hope that answers any questions you guys might have had. I'd say this is a nice cinema scene to buy if you spot it. Better than the Mos Espa Encounter. I thought it ran a close second to the Tatooine Duel scene. I love Maul's cloak on that one. MTFBWY

Good luck. Just be patient and don't give in to scalpers and vanheads. The dark side are they....
