Early reports have started to surface of the next POTJ wave of figures. These include:
Gungan Warrior
Boss Nass
Jek Porkins
Personally, I'm really looking forward to picking up Porkins. How can you not love a fat Rogue?
These figures have been found along with the Coruscant Guard and Blue Battle Droid from the first waves. I'm not killing myself to find these. I think they'll eventually sit on shelves long enough for collectors and kids to pick them up.

My girlfriend got me the POTJ Darth Maul (splits in half), Obi-wan (with Qui-gon's saber), Naboo Guard, Mas Ammeda, and Chewie playing chess. The figures are quite nice, but way too damn expensive. They have no voice chips or slides or anything, just a mini paper booklet with each figure, and they cost $7.00. I have also seen them for eight. Too much.

I agree, it's a very steep price. I know Hasbro has to pay a lot for the liscensing and everything, but considering how much volume they seem to move they should drop the price. Ironically, it works to their disadvantage because people just wait until the figures go on clearance.
If the figures were $5-$6, I'd buy a few more.

I might pick up Porkins just for the uniqueness factor. You don't see very many "portly" action figures.

Makes you wonder how much action they will get!

I guess Wal-Mart is carrying the new G.I.Joe 2 Packs now, and the price is only $5.94 for 2 figures.

I know they already own this liscense so they're not paying out the butt for it but will that matter to a kid? He sees one Star Wars figure(who admittedly is a bigger name right now)for $7 a pop, limited articulation and maybe a pistol for a accessory or....he sees two G.I.Joe figures, same size, they move just about everywhere and come with tons of accessories....who's gonna win? You definetly get more bang for your buck, I think thats one of the things hurting the sales on these things, if they were cheaper they'd sell more. From everything I've heard(and seen) the Joe toys are flying off the shelves. I wish they could figure it out and get the same kind of buzz and interest in the SW Figures again.

Yeah, when I was a kid I didn't even care who the figure was as long as it looked cool and came with accessories. "Bendy knees" was also a must.:)

Hasbro's all over the place. I wish they'd just pick a strategy and a target group to cater to. Right now the price and high detail/lack of articulation cater to collectors, but then they turn around and release some figures with wickedcool articulation and also resculpts of the main figures to cater to kids.

Yeah, I'm not too thrilled with Hasbro quality. No elbows, knees, nothing. They also should be taller so that you can use them with other figures. The only SWfigure I've ever taken out of my boxes was a POTF Darth Vader. It's not the same size as ANYTHING. He's too short for conventional figures.

I found most of the next 2 waves this morning at WalMart;
Boss Nass
Sebulba
Fode/Beed (Two Headed Announcer)
Gungan Warrior
PORKINS!!! (The Magnificent Fat Bastard!)

I haven't had a chance to open them up and check them
out. Hopefully I can give a quick review by the end of the week.

I went by my other local WalMart this morning and I scored again! This time I found;
Qui-Gon
General Leia
Jedi Knight Ben Kenobi
Bespin Vader!!

I think the only one I'm missing is Boomer Damage Battle Droid. It's been a good week! :) On a positive note, they did have a couple of Porkins at the other WalMart so this shouldn't be too hard a figure to score before X-Mas. Good luck guys.
