Planet of the Apes - How Many?

I've always known Planet of the Apes series to consist of 5 movies:

Planet of the Apes
Beneath the Planet of the Apes
Escape from Planet of the Apes
Conquest of the Planet of the Apes
Battle for the Planet of the Apes

During the past couple of months, I've seen more movies advertised on the Space Channel:
"Greed and Treachery on the Planet of the Apes" - Caught a bit of this one; it's about a horse race
"Life, Liberty, and Pursuit on the Planet of the Apes" - No idea

So, what's the deal? How many movies are there?

I agree with Buff. There was a TV series, and I think there were a few TV movies with that spawned from that series, so those would be them.

I've got the DVD box set for Planet of the Apes, and it only has the five movies you mentioned plus the "Behind the Planet of the Apes" making of special. (6 Dvds in all)

So those others must have come from the TV series, either as episodes or movies associated with the series.

The Planet of the Apes tv series bore a striking resemblance to the Logan's Run tv series.

If I remember correctly, there was episode of each that had the exact same story line.

Late 70's TV - gotta love it.
