Mine is in Highlander, when, with Queen's who wants to live forever in the background, you see that Connor's wife is growing old and will die, leaving him alone

Vader's death and torching are pretty sad for me. Also the last scene in ESB.

I don't know if it's the saddest I've ever seen, but watching Michael Keaton die at the end of My Life was sad and poignant.

The last scene in ESB?

I always get this "That's ALL???" feeling.

One of the saddest movie moments I can think of would have to be The Elephant Man. I haven't it for a while, but I just remember parts of it being really sad.

Vader on the funeral pyre as the lone harp plays part of the Imperial March Theme.

Another one was in T2 when Arnold is on the chain above the molten metal, when he starts to descend and says "Goodbye".

I find all those sad.

Jedi is one of the saddest.

I think when Chris Odennel dies in Fried Green Tomatoes is pretty sad, or when Julia Roberts dies in Steel Magnolias and all the women are crying at the funeral, then Sally Field throws a fit, that always gets me.

When Optimus dies. :( :( :(

ESB is a sad ending for me because I think of their predicaments and feel bad for them. Luke is told that his dad is the scum of the universe, and he lost a hand, leia loses han, and there just seems to be no hope at that point.

You were busy doing "other" things in the theater? I didn't know they let people bring barbels into movie theaters. ;)

How about when the medic dies in "Saving Private Ryan". He's the doc, so none of the guys know what to do about his gun shot wound.

There's also the scene in Forrest Gump when Forest is at Jenny's grave and he leaves her a note from Forest Jr.

Or how about when Darth Maul dies towards the end of Phantom. Hey, I didn't want him to die!
