As of last night I started seeing trailers for this popping up all over the place. It looks interesting and a lot of the scnenes it showed seem to be mirrors of the cartoon version. That alone makes me wonder how well it will do in theatre's, the costumes and scenery look great though.

Another question, why November 17th? I figured it would be a December opening.

It does look great, good for good ol' Jim CArrey, maybe this'll be his biggest hit...but it's going to Schwarzenegger vs. CArrey...

It looks ok, but I think a classic cartoon should stay a classic cartoon

Thus far I've only seen the short segments of the film off Entertainment Tonight but I have to admit it looks pretty impressive. Jim Carrey looks great as the Grinch.

when i first heard about the movie i thought it would suck had the same opinion as hart, but now that i see the adds im looking forward to seeing it,
looks like they did a great job in transfering it from a cartoon to film,

The clips that I've seen look great. If they can stick to the cartoon and "mirror" it successfully then it should do quite well. It might be the first movie I get to go out and see in quite some time.

I heard that Ron Howard and co. had to go through 12 different scripts with Mrs Zeus before getting the ok to do the film. It should be hopefully good if they went to that much trouble.
