Is anybody in here going to waste there money to go see this trash?? I normally try not to trash something until I see it BUT I can tell from the cast , and previews Its going to suck about as bad as TBW2.

I might go see it I am not sure yet, I do like Cameron Diaz she is hot, and Bill Murray is usually funny and I think Tim Curry is one of hte best villain actors around. Still I have no clue why Drew Barrymore she does not look like a charlie angel. Regardless this film will probably be a huge hit making 30 million in its first weekend.

Having John F. return to do Charlie's voice is a nice touch. The hype machine is in full swing for this baby. MTV has its CA special playing every 15 minutes and the girls are on every other magazine cover. The sad part is, people are referring to the old show as if it were one of the high points of 20th century culture. Easy there fellas, it was a cheesy 70s detective show. Yeah, I grew up with a Cheryl Ladd poster on my bedroom wall, but I was a horny pubescent 11-year old boy. I still knew I wasn't watching Masterpiece Theater when Bosley and the Angles went into action. The movie will probably be as good as the original TV show; mindless, harmless, T&A action with updated special effects and music.

anyway , They could have atleast cast some decent looking girls to play the angels.They hire 3 trash ho.s for it .I do like the fact that,Bill murray is in it but other than that I cant think of anything good about it.the slowmo gots ta go...

Cameron Diaz trash, what have you been smoking, she is one of the sexiest looky actresses out there. I do admit I do not like Drew Barrymore in the movie she does not look like a charlie angle to me at least. I have never heard of the other girl so I have little to say about her. I do like the fact they added Bill Murray and Tim Curry that give the film some humor.

This movie will absolutely rule, you must be ignorant to diss a great looking movie before even seeing it.

The action is done by THE MASTER of Hong Kong cinema, Yuen Woo Ping, it stars two really hot girls (and one not-so-good-at-all Asian girl, yes I know her name), Bill Murray, this movie will RULE!

Sheesh, some people no longer know how to have fun at the movies. Relax, movies are about fun. Every once in a great while you'll get a movie like Star Wars that comes along and not only entertains, but also educates. These are the rare movies, the classics that stand the test of time. But movies that provide great entertainment are equally valid as movies, they may not be as good and may not last as long, but they are still FUN films to see.

If you want a classic, wait for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (Yuen Woo Ping action, again), but this movie will just be lots of fun. I cannot wait, one of November's 8-10 great movies.

I KNOW ITS WRONG TO TRASH A MOVIE without seeing it first BUT I have already said that( JHONATHON).Anyway IM sure the movie will have a big first week But I bet it fades FAST!!!!

Yeah, I get where your coming from. She's basically not your cup of tea. To each his own. I've just always thought she's a good actress and she has the ability to portray different kinds of characters. She was a hard ass bitch in movies like She's The One and Any Given Sunday and your typical All-American girl in movies like TSAMary and My Best Friend's Wedding. She's The One is one of my favorite comedies and she's great in it.

The big appeal factor for this movie is the whole nostalgia thing. People have more tollerance for crappy stuff from their childhood than they do for crappy stuff from a year ago.


I think it's fair to judge a film based on the marketing the studio uses to promote the film. After all they are (supposedly) trying to put the picture in the best light possible. Charlie's Angels might actuallt turn out to be a fun, entertaining movie.

I kind of doubt it, though.

Looks like a lot of people wasted their money on it made 13.39 million yesterday it looks like it will make at least 35 maybe 40 for the weekend. Bagger Vance and Meet the Parents were tied for second with 3.81 for yesterday.

"Charlie's Angels" is eye candy for the blind. It's a movie without a brain in its three pretty little heads, which belong to Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu. This movie is a dead zone in their lives, and mine.

What is it? A satire? Of what? Of satires, I guess. It makes fun of movies that want to make fun of movies like this. It's an all-girl series of mindless action scenes. Its basic shot consists of Natalie, Dylan and Alex, the Angels, running desperately toward the camera before a huge explosion lifts them off their feet and hurls them through the air and smashes them against windshields and things--but they survive with injuries only to their makeup.

Why, I am asking, is this funny? I am thinking hard. So much money and effort was spent on these explosions that somebody must have been convinced they had a purpose, but I, try as I might, cannot see them as anything other than action without mind, purpose, humor, excitement or entertainment.

The movie's premise will be familiar to anyone who ever watched the original TV show. I never watched the show, and the plot was familiar even to me. A disembodied voice (John Forsythe) issues commands to the three babes who work for his detective agency, and they perform his missions while wearing clothes possibly found at the thrift shop across the street from Coyote Ugly.

Barrymore, Diaz and Liu represent redhead, blond and brunet respectively (or, as my colleague David Poland has pointed out, T, A and Hair). Sad, isn't it, that three such intelligent, charming and talented actresses could be reduced to their most prominent component parts?

And voluntarily, too. At the tops of their careers, they chose to make this movie (Barrymore even produced it). They volunteered for what lesser talents are reduced to doing.

The cast also contains Bill Murray, who likes to appear unbilled in a lot of his movies and picked the wrong one to shelve that policy. He is winsome, cherubic and loopy, as usual, but the movie gives him nothing to push against. There's the curious feeling he's playing to himself. Sam Rockwell plays a kidnapped millionaire, Tim Curry plays a villain, and . . . why go on?

In the months to come there will be several movies based on popular video games, including one about "Tomb Raiders" and its digital babe, Lara Croft.

"Charlie's Angels" is like the trailer for a video game movie, lacking only the video game, and the movie.
