I know it's early, but MacClane has the early lead and that's who I voted for. I just saw Die Hard III again the other day on HBO so that might have affected my vote a bit. What I admire about the character is that he's the perfect "everyman" character. He's not the biggest, fastest, or strongest character. But he is the toughest. He wins because of his sheer determination and his wits. He does it with a sense of humor as well. The only other character in the poll that does that as well as MacClane is Riggs. Riggs would have been my first choice but he turned into a virtual Jet Li punching bag in LW4 and that really dissapointed me. Yeah, he's older, but it wasn't just Li that was kicking his ass. Every Triad member seemed to take turns kicking his ass. It was heartbreaking watching one of my big screen heroes become mortal right before my eyes.

So in the end I'll go with MacClane. The guy gets through scraps with a quick wit and guts to spare. And at the end of every Die Hard film he looks like he's been stuck in toll booth with Mike Tyson and a rabid wolverine.

I had to go with Riggs. Even though Jet Li smacked his @ss continually and harshly, the fact that Riggs got him in the end is all that counts for me.
