I just rented the X-men video partly because I wanted to see it again and plus the video had an added featured of 10 minutes of never before seen footage at the end of the film so I decided to rent it. First to the scenes, they weren't bad a couple of them I kind of wished were in the movie they showed more character depth of Xavier, Storm, Rogue, Jean, Cyclops and Wolverine. The others were wasteful because they were wrong for the pacing of the film. Actully several of the scenes are just extended versions of the ones in the movie like the scene with Jean and Wolverine when they are in his room and we get a hint of jealousy from Cyclops that scene was extended but I actually like this one better because we get more information about the characters. Their was also one between Jean and Xavier that I liked because it helped enforce his father figure role, and finally their was one scene that gave storm some dialoge when she was talking with Rogue, I am not sure how it would have worked in the movie, I need to get the DVD to see how the scenes flow in the movie. Finally I saw another mutant cameo, I think, I pretty sure I spotted the Blob, at the school there was this huge fat kid who I swore look something like him, of course he never used his powers so I am not sure if it was him or not.

I actually liked both movies, I think Gladiator was the best made movie of the year and X-men was the best fun movie of the year that is all, besides you should be judging somebody elses tastes in movies I am sure their is somebody out there who perfers Chicken Run over both Gladiator and X-Men.

um where does anyone mention gladiator in this thread besides you???
want to start a gladiator vs xmen thread do it somewhere else, this thread is about the XMEN DVD not gladiator

today i was torn between buying the xmen dvd or the limited edition collectors version of evildead2, i got evildead2 only because they only had 2 left in the store, and its limited to 50000 in northamerica, and xmen is going to be avaliable for quite a while im thinking :)

yeahI just can't believed why dey sdidn't included dis 10 mins at da theater. We get to see more of da other characters beside Logan and Rogue. Plus da movie was short. Yay da DVD rocks!

Watching the DVD version with the deleted scenes incorporated into the film gets annoying though. The sound doesn't have the same EQ as the movie, and often the scene repeats itself as seen in the theater shortly after.

I got all three the same day :)

I like Gladiator the most - but I really like X-men, it was a surprise to me how good it was. Chicken Run was just a fun animated movie.

I wish they had left most of those scenes in. It's porrible that they thought the School segment would be too slow, but most of those scenes really added a little depth to the movie - and some of what happened in them more clearly set up what was to come later on.

It's too bad aboot the sound and the lack of music in those scenes. Maybe we'll get a Director's cut or Special Edidtion one day. :^D
