I voted for 'Back To The Future' since it's the only real time travel I've seen apart from 'The Blue Yonder' and 'Flight of the Navigator'.

I think Jean Claude has seen better days. his first few movies kicked, now he blows. The only redeeming quality Time cop has is the fact that Mia Sara gets nekkid.

Time Cop had an interesting idea about policing Time travel I think it was based on a comic book. I think it was his second best movie after Sudden Death. I am surprised Time Machine hasn't gotten any votes it is a great movie easily a classic but I still think BTF is the best one by far.

Is the TIME MACHINE the movie where the guy builds this time machine in like the 1800's and goes to the future ,where these people allow these ugly little creatures take like there oldest people (24-30 yr) and the creatures cant stand the light?? If so its really a good movie. And VAN DAMME still kicks butt!!!!I will have to say Sudden death was his best BUt Hard target was my fav.

I don't know about 'Time Machine: The Movie', but that is certainly what the novel titled 'The Time Machine' by HG Wells (author of 'War of the Worlds') is about - the beautiful Elois on the surface and the ugly Morlocks (sp?) beneath the surface.

The movie is a classic I think, though I still think BTF is slightly superior. I understand they are making a remake which I have a reluctance to see becuase the first one was so good.

Reasons to love BTTF above all others (aside from SW of course)
1- Entertainment value & re-watchability factor. As far as I'm concerned, they're second only to star wars.
2- The characters are all great; Marty, Doc, the Tannen's, George, Strickland...
3- The Power of Love
4- Cameos by Flea
5- Flying DeLoreans
6- a young Elisabeth Shue
7- hoverboards
8- there's bounf to be more, feel free to add.

I can't believe nobody here said Terminator (either the first or the second). Granted its not 100% about time travel, but those are big parts of them.

The first two Back to the Future Movies were pretty awesome, all the characters were great and they always threw some time traveling swerves at you.
Though Bill & Ted's was very funny, the 2nd one was just as good IMHO, the Grim Reaper was great...."They Melvined Me"

I can't believe nobody here said Terminator.
If you look at the list it's made up of movies where the main character/s go forward/backwards through time - time travle is the main point of the story. The Terminator movies take place in normal time - just so happens a character or 2 happens to travel through time at the very start of the films then that's it.

Yeah, I don't consider Terminator to be a time travel movie, but an action movie with time travel in it.

I can't believe no one except me voted for the Time Machine. I used to LOVE that movie when I was a kid. - guess I'm showing my age.
Second for me would DEFINITELY be Bill and Ted. Mainly because I Hate, hate, hate the Back to the Future things with a passion. Almost as much as I hate Jurrasic Park and ID4.
>:-{
These are the kinds of movies that drove away from the movie theaters.

I can't believe that you hate Back to the Future. I think BTTF is one of the greatest films of the 80's and owes a lot to Star Wars. Really their is not much difference between BTTF, Star Wars and Jurassic Park, they are all pop culture films that combine action, fantasy, and science fiction. I think they are all great films and they are why I go to the movies, I would rather see a film like that than some mushy drama or terrible horror film.

Another thing I appreciated about BTTF (in addition to what's mentioned above) was that it didn't try to impress you with a lot of "money shots" of its effects or overly dramatic music, etc. It was a really fun movie that wasn't pretentious and at the same time din't insult my intelligence.
I'd agree that although SW and BTTF are quite different in style, they were both fun movies thatyou can watch over and over.
