I just read this on Coming Attractions that William Defoe is the Green Goblin. I'm not sure about this choice I am going to have to wait and see the movie before I decide, regardless he is better than Malchonvich who looked nothing like Osborn.

What other movies has that guy been in? The name sounds somewhat familiar.

He was the head of the black ops group in Panama in Clear and Present Danger.

He's got the small frame and can get a wicked looking grin, with his face and some good makeup/costume/effects I think he'd be a great Green Goblin.

I don't particularly like that Defoe, but I gotta admit he kinda does look the part.

The smile he has is PERFECT for the role.

Yeah, but he wouldn't be that good for a Norman Osborne. Only as a Green Goblin.

My brother came home and told me that he heard that Nic Cage was also up for the role. I really wanted to slap him for being an idiot, but I wanted some other opinions first...

I remember a rumour that Nick Cage was going to be the next Superman. Maybe that's what your brother was thinking of?

machoman??

well lets see peter first used his powers to make money by wrestling, so if they keep the movie the same as the comic then id hope that he plays the wrestler that peter wrestles in his match,

wrestlers tend to be horrible actors (name one good performance where they wernt playing a wrestler :) ) so id hope that he wouldnt have much more of a role than that

Not good actors? What about Hulk Hogan's film career in such box office hits as "Mr. Nanny", "No Holds Barred", and, of course, the action-packed TV series "Thunder in Paradise"?! ;)

Well, I think they're gonna stay true to Spidey's original story. At least the wrestling part anyway. I read at Cinescape.com that Bruce Campbell's signed on to play the ring announcer in a wrestling match.
