I'm glad someone else saw the movie so they'd comment on this thread :)

The supporting actor category is gonna be a toughie this year. Though when I walked out of the theatre I did say something along the lines of, "Wilson should get a nomination."

I've seen very few movies this year so I'm not sure of many who would qualify, the only one I can think of is Jaoquin(sp?) Phoenix from Gladiator, he did a great job as the Emperor.

Just thinking back on Hank's dialog with Wilson, it was incredible

Was excellent. Not just the dialogue...but how Hanks figured stuff out(which is all about the screenplay). As far as Phoenix, he was excellent in GLADIATOR...and QUILLS. He might be nominated for either one of them.

I never saw Quills...though I heard of it. Phoenix seems like he has a very bright future ahead of him. He was also pretty good in 8mm opposite Nicolas Cage

QUILLS was wonderfully acted...but I thought their were several weak aspects overall. Still it was fairly engrossing till about the last 20 minutes or so where it went downhill. Nonetheless, I was sufficiently impressed with it. For those of you who don't know it's about the Marquis De Sade.
