Man alive, this was a grewat movie! Maybe I'm biased since I'm fascinated with the whole Cuban missile crisis anyways, but it was a well acted, well paced, white knuckled thriller. Amazingly though we all know it didn't come to WWIII the tension level throughout is high. Bruce Greenwood is excellent as JFK, so ids the guy who plays Bobby Kennedy. Hell even Costner is good is great(amazingly enough it's true). This easily one of the best films of the year...I'm currently debating whether I enjoyed it more than GLADIATOR(and everyone knows how much I loved that). I can't wait to see this again.

I saw it myself yesterday too, and thought it was a great movie as well. The acting is incredible especially Greenwood I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a best supporting actor nomination. I also thought it was Costner's best film in years.

I was hoping to see it myself but either the theater I watched it in did not get it or it was chopped out because the trailer reel was extremly messed up and parts of the trailers were cut off so I am not sure if it was on there or not. I did see the Tomb Raider trailer and it was terrible probably because it was only a quick look but it did not show her as she is in the movie a female Indiana Jones combining adventure, comedy, and some action. Hopefully the next trailer looks better or I think I will skip that movie.

Well...it was pretty cool. I'll definitely see those flicks, but the preview wasn't spectacular or anything. I was rather let down personally. But then THIRTEEN DAYS started, and I forgot about my dissapointment. :) Once again I must say this flick was great.

I was surprised by the numbers this weekend. Save the Last Dance some teen comedy came in #1 with 24.5 million. This film was considered awful by almost all the critics but I guess Teenage girls have their way again. Castway came in second with 17 million followed by traffic 11.5, What women wand 10.4, and Thirteen Days and Finding Forrester both tied for 5th with 10.2 million. Even the #7 film Double Take made 10 million. I can't remember the last non summer weekened when 7 movies made 10 million.

Actually, Save the Last Dance is a teen DRAMA not a teen comedy. :D
The Mtv networks hae been giving it a big push - still I was pretty surprised by the totals. I really liked the actress in Ten Things I Hate About You (which I recently saw on cable).

I only saw a couple of preview and barely paid much attention to them so I wasn't sure what it was. I admit I do think Julia Stiles is a good actress but why would she want to do such garbage is beyond me. I am sure by next weekend the film will tank and not even be in top 5.

From the commercials on TV, the special effects in 13 days looked REALLY cheesy. Was that a problem during the film? The planes didn't look real or anything.

since most of the film took place in the white house and dealt more with Kennedy's delima I say it didn't effect my viewing of the film. I actually did not notice how realistic it looked but from what I can tell it looked pretty close.
