 I think it's about time Troy left. He's had his time. Put in Cunningham (something they should've done the whole time). Emmit is good, but I still hate him. ;) And let's not forget, the Cowboy that won it for them in '95. That's right, Neil "The guy in silver is my team mate, right?" O'Donnell... never throws an INT except for the damn Super Bowl... :(

Even though I am now a Chiefs fan, (I only became a fan of the chiefs when the 49ers betrayed me by throwing away my idol and the chiefs picked up the greatest QB of all time) as a kid I idolized Joe Montana and by far the 49er teams of the 80's were the best. Montana was an amzing QB especially in the Super Bowl he never threw and INT and has the highest QB rating of all time in the Super Bowl. Also the 49ers have won the same amount of super bowls as the cowboys 5 but the difference is the niners are perfect while the cowboys it took 8 tries which is still pretty good but not good enough to equal the niners who were unbeatible in the big game.

Well I have to give it to you, there BUT the cowboys will always be a team talked about and respected .The 49ers ONLY if they do well .=) Now on that Joe Montana thing He was good no doubt there BUT the greatest QB was DAN THE MAN MARINO.Im no phin fan but I give credit were credit is due and marino gets its.Id put Joe at about #5.(but of course thats my opinon.

hey Albi, Thats true ole Chris was the cowboys best pl;ayer in that one .Maybe Jones made it worth his while before the game. And yes Troy needs to go .I try and like all Cowboy Players but I just cant find it in my heart to give a rats terd about him.BRING ON RANDALL.

I have to say Marino was good but I still think Montana was better it is evident that Montana won 4 super bowls, 3 super bowl MVP several more NFL MVP's and his teams always won even when he went to Kansas City where he did not have the talent he took them to the AFC championship game where they lost in frigid Rich Stadium. Part of this is just my opinion and I guess I am biased since I idolized him so much as a kid. Still many experts think Montana was the best, probably because of his super bowl wins. I understand though why you don't place him first but why 5# what four QB's where better than Montana. I myself would rank them this way.
1. Montana
2. Marino
3. Bradshaw
4. Elway
5. Unitas
I just think these 5 are the best I'm sure somebody could name somebody else who is the equal of them but of course this is all opinion.

I don't think you can put Marino in there without including Moon. Neither won a championship but put up huge numbers....does that make them the best though? Heck Moon has more career(total pro numbers) yardage, tds, etc, etc then Marino does, but he didn't play it all in the NFL, but overall he's thrown for something like 70,000yds. I'd say the two are equal and neither are the best QB ever.

Being a more recent football fan I can't really comment on all the older QB's fairly, I never saw Bradshaw, Unitas, etc play and can't really base anything off of just footage. A few that I do think are great are Young, Montana and Elway(not necessarily in that order). I think Marino is easily up there but definetly not #1.

How about current QB's?

#1 Peyton Manning
#2 Kurt Warner
#3 Drew Bledsoe
#4 Brett Favre
#5 Culpepper

Kinda a odd list and most would probably question some of those but just my thoughts. And yeah the Patriots suck this year but Bledsoe is the best player on that team, you tell me another QB who can put up with the punishement he's taken over the last 2 yrs(110+ sacks, started all 32 games) and still put up decent numbers with no real running back to bail him out. Hell if he had played for Baltimore with Lewis as running back and that Defense then they would have won by a lot more.

It was a good one for almost 3 quarters....then it got out of hand pretty fast. I was just happy to see the AFC team win again. The NFC ran of what, like 15 in a row. Now the AFC has gotten 3 in 4 years. Looks like the balance of the league may have tipped towards the AFC again.

sorry,CMJ =)

Good call on Moon ,JJWR

I had forgotten about him.Although alot of his yards a such were from the USFL he was a heck of a QB and I dont think he ever had the supporting cast that like lets say Marino a or Montana and such.I my self am new to football compared to people who REally remember the 70's and earlier.I was just a babe =).Keep in mind that years ago Qbs were not protected like they are now(RULES).Back then QB"s got punished compared to now.ive got to cut this short so ill justgo ahead and give the top QB's my oppinion is based on what I have read on them from years ago and from seeing old films and such.

1.Dan Marino(never liked him but he was great
2.Dan fouts (tough SOB)nononsense player
3.Warren Moon (JJwr said all)
4Terry Bradshaw (dislike him But very good leader )
5.Doug flutie(most under rated QB, has it all)(just to dam6 short)

Todays Qbs havnt really had a chance to prove themselves yet(in my oppinion)

Back to the super bowl I didnt even see a sec. of the game.I was watching the phantom menace Im just 8 viewings away from 500 =) (i need my life back =(

I think about 20,000 of his yds came in the CFL(or somesuch league) and he had like 50,000 in the NFL, I think he's 3rd all time in that one behind Marino and Elway.

is that this game blew. HARD. and the halftime show blew harder. britney and nsync ruined a perfectly good song...they didn't deserve to be on the same stage as Aerosmith. Nelly did good with the rap part though.
