I didn't watch it, a few people I have talked to said it wasn't that good the camera angels for example are insane and the talent level is awful. I personally doubt it will survive unless it can attract some big name athletes which at the moment seems unlikely unless they want to have a huge pay increase for their players.

XFL? That with naked women and gore-filled violence? :)

It was ok...the games themselves weren't great, some of the teams were able to do some things while some weren't....I think a few of the teams easily looked better than the Clevland Browns, but not playing against near as tough teams.

The Camera angles were a tad annoying at times as were all the interviews after plays. I think the way they're structing things is they won't compete with the NFL at all for players so it may be tough for them to get some bigger name players, even from the college level.

No idea Buff, if anything I'd say try XFL.com as a start and go from there.

I refuse to watch the WWFL. This isn't a league aimed toward die hard football fans. This thing is geared towards the crowd that passes on Monday Night football to watch wrestling. NBC should be ashamed of itself. :P
BTW, the ratings were VERY good. One of the games got over a 10 and the network was only promising advertisers a 4.0. It even outdrew one of the MLB divisional games between the Yankees and the Mariners. I feel the end of the world is near...

The ratings on sunday weren't that good it only got a 4.2 I know it beat out the NHL All Star Game but that says more about the poor state of hockey than anything else. I was reading a few media exeperts who said that the ratings mean nothing and they think the ratings will be cut in half next week. Considering the fact that they are using terrible talent Tommy Maddox for example. I doubt many that turned in on Saturday and Sunday will come back.

I don't have the breakdown but I think the saturday night 10 rating went down steadily throughout the show, basically a lot of people tuned in to see if it would be any good and when they realized how crappy it was a lot turned out(thats what I did).

I hope the ratings continue to decline steadily. NBC deserves to lose money on this big time! In the end, this whole nonsense is harmless. It's not going to be taken seriously by most football fans. What bugs me is how they try to pass themselves as "real" football players playing for the love of the game. Give me a break, they're desperate NFL rejects hoping they can make an impression on NFL scouts and get a second chance with the league. And these "real" football players make a minimum of $47K, so someone tell Jessie The Body to shut up about how there guys are doing without money and family for the sake of the game.

I think these players love the game, and will play in the XFL because, as you said, it's a place to showcase themselves to the NFL scouts. And yes, Ventura should clam up about the no money thing. What a load of crap.

thanx JJWR Ill look them up online.

I hope it stays with your lower level players(ill have a better chance :) . But thats the thing about the XFL like Kyle said I think alot of guys do love the sport , are good and are getting a chance to show case there talents. Its like when I played semi-pro football , those guys loved to play(and you seen that)I only played to say HEY look at me)but they really loved it.I of course wouldnt mind getting a little fame and get to meet CHYNA and maybe getting in good with Vince's Daughter :) just think you guys could see me on TV :) you obviously hadnt seen any of my commecials and stuff) ON the Back of my Jersey would read BUFF JEDI how cool would that be. ;) (hey we all have to have dreams)

It looks silly.

Serious lowest common demoninator stuff. I think the promo commercials really over played it also. After the high powered, ultra hyped ads, when you actually see it, it's just a freakin football game.

Plus, I'm not a big fan of silicone. :p

I hope the on field cameraman gets nailed a few times though. :D
