I'm not sure if anyone else here reads comics but in Uncanny X-Men #390(newest issue) a X-Man dies. There was a rather nasty mutant virus that had been going around for a while and to stop it Colossus injected himself with the cure(first person who used it would die to manifest the cure). His sister had been killed by it so he felt he needed to use it on himself.
Now Death in comics usually ever lasts but this one looks like its for good. I think it meant way too much for them to cheapen it to bring him back, that and in X-Men #110 the whole issue was a letter written by Shadowcat(X-Man in love with Colossus) to Prof X saying she couldn't do it anymore. At the end she takes his ashes back to Russia and spreads them to the wind and then quits the X-Men.
Not sure if anyone cared but I thought some may have wanted to know.
Course that should also remove at least Colossus from the next X-Men movie, I doubt they'll use a character who is no longer appearing in the comics.
