I read on Cinescape.com that Goonies 2 has a script and is nearly complete and ready for casting. Corey Feldmen also says he will be in it.
This leads me to think that Goonies 2 could be a reunion adventure. How awsome would that be. All the Goonies back for a second go at One Eyed Willy's treaure. The possibilities are endless!

Didn't we have a thread about this a couple months back? I'd love to see another Goonies movie, despite my skepticism. But as long as Josh Brolin is in, so am I! Is the girl that played Andy still alive?

But think of it this way; Sean Astin (Mikey) turns 30 next week!

He's 30! Wow....didn't think he was that old. Should be a fun movie if it gets done right.

But mama fratelli and sloth are both dead, so we can count them out...

because it's a sentimental fave of many people who would willingly pay the price of a ticket even if it sucks. It would be a change to see guys like Haim and Feldman on the big screen again! :) Even if it were a bomb, it would still qualify as a success for them!

I concur with the honourable Darth23...
WHY?!?!?! It's not like the original was any good.

YOU DIDN"T LIKE GOONIES!?! Are you hartless, or do you have no sence of adventure? My biggest childhood adventure was getting lost in the woods with my closest friends. It was a Goonies type adventure. We all new it then, and I don't think we would have attempted climbing the mountain, risking getting lost, which we did, if we had never seen Goonies. What a movie. It is the perfect movie about the kid adventurer we all used to be.

I think I'm too old to have enjoyed it when it first came out.
Actually, I've never watched it all the way through - it was too annoying to me.

I was like 4 when it came out. It was a movie I could appreciate.

I thought it was way too geared towards kids.
THey really ruined the Goonies saga with that episode.
