The ForceNet is reporting that the OT have been the most viewed satelite movies over the last two years. The totals break down like this:
ANH: 1.03 (This is despite the fact that ANH has been shown on TNT a couple of times in the last 6 months.)
ESB 1.23 million
ROTJ 1.2 million.
The satelite service is set to play TPM this weekend and they expect even bigger numbers. Their record is 2 million for Men In Black and I'd expect TPM to break that mark. The SW totals are rather impressive considering the number of times the films have been show on broadcast and cable TV. It's amazing that films that have been out for close to 25 years can generate the highest number of viewers over a 2 year span. But then again, we're talking about SW here. Should we even be surprised? :)
