Well BRIDGET JONES'S DIARY won Friday. Will SPY KIDS make a comeback(since it should do better today and Sunday) or will Renee Z. have the #1 flick?

I think Bridget will hold out. It seems like it's pretty rare that a movie wins the BO 4 weeks in a row. The added like 600 more screens this week so that shoudl help. I'm wondering of Freddy will fall behind Spy Kids before the weekend is over.

FREDDY has been geting ROASTED by the critics. I think Tom Green's humor turns way more ppl off than it turns on.

Whenever I see Tom Green on tv, I always want him to get his ass kicked by his targets.

One reason I liked his Monica Lewenski special so much was because his own co-host threw him out the door and down the porch stars.

Man Darth23 you need to read Ebert's review. It's one of the most hilarious things I've ever read. To say he disliked the film is an understatement. :)

The Hollywood Reporter called Freddy Got Fingered one of the worst comedies of all-time! That's pretty hard to do; there are thousands of comedies. LOL.

I don't see how critics didn't like Crocadile Dundee in Los Angeles. It was funny, it was family-oriented, and it wasn't totally gross-out like the rest of the comedies lately. I enjoyed it, and would give it three stars. Obviously it wasn't great, but I had a fun time and it was a solid comedy. So much better than the nasty crap out lately.

I don't see how the comedy in American Pie, some parts of Scary Movie, and the rest of these movies appeals to people. I liked parts of Scary Movie, the non-gross parts, and I liked Shannon Elizabeth, damn she is so incredibly hot, lol, but the rest of the comedy was just gross!

Gross does NOT mean funny. It's embarrassing that the youth of America are so desensitized to sex anymore. I'm not going to use the cliche of saying violence, though.

Violence is not that big of a deal in movies, seeing a few hundred people get blown away, big deal. But seeing these nasty, perverted comedies is just disgusting. They are offensive to audiences and to anyone's intelligence.

When I watch something like The Matrix, I'm not offended by people being blown away. I mean who cares, they're just movie actors, but the perversion in comedy movies today is not the same thing, in my opinion it's much more unacceptable.

Ah well, whatever. Teenagers are just sick anymore. I wonder if they always talked like this, or if it's only today's perverted high schoolers that will discuss any nasty subject over lunch. I am thankful that I don't hang out around people who talk like that, but that doesn't mean I don't have to hear the occassional gross conversation when it follows me into the library or whatever, haha.

looks like Bridget Jones' Diary won, it made 10.5 million, spy kids came in second at 10.2 and then Along Came a Spider with 9.1, Crocodile Dundee 3 8 million, and Freddy got Fingered with 7.3 million.

Well most of the 'gross-out' comedies have flopped this year. I finally saw American Pie on cable a few weeks ago, and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I basically thought it was just a stupid movie about a bunch of horny teenagers. It was funnier that I expected, and not nearly as vile.



loosk like Freddy dropped about 12% fron Firday to Saturday. :-P

As an Australian, I refuse to acknowledge Crocidile Dundee III. But it does prove bad movies are not just the domain of Hollywood

Plus, the first film is YOUR country's 2nd highest grossing movie, behind Titanic and ahead of TPM :)
